Our shed was delivered by a very professional delivery company - the box was even without any dings! But, it came without instructions to assemble it. I got the info through my Orders info on Amazon, and Suncast's staff was wonderful! Rachel emailed me the instructions and assured me they could help with anything else. Turned out there's a metal bar for the roof that is tricky and we couldn't figure out how to line it up with grooves and where to put the screws. Called Suncast again, and Rachel (again!) talked us through it and then emailed me a picture of her putting the bar on (which helped tremendously). It was a great experience - no frustration and a completed shed in about 2 hours. We would happily purchase from this company again. Oh! And the shed is great too - sturdy and we'll find out today how it handles rain, but we think it'll be just fine - all the pieces fit tightly.

I'm so glad I listened to other reviewers and had an electric screwdriver on hand. I have no idea how people put the shed together without one. I also don't know how it is possible to put this shed together by yourself. In my opinion attaching the roof to the sides would be impossible. I live in an apartment and needed extra storage for stuff like a suitcase, vacuum cleaner, large fan and a bunch of storage totes. It took me a long time to decide on which shed as I was nervous about the size and whether or not my stuff would fit. The other reviewers are right - it is durable and does NOT need a separate base. My sits on the cement patio floor.

Great storage but destroyed by strong wind. I am hoping I can get parts to put it back together. Update: After contacting Suncast customer service I am changing my review to 5 stars due to the outstanding support and quick response time I received. Thank you Suncast for standing behind your product.

This has been a great purchase. Our HOA was complaining about our trash cans and we purchased this. It not only looks nice, we can leave the cans open inside it so using it is easy. The lid lifts easily (almost on it's own) and at 5'6" I can easily pull it back down. There is room for our two cans and as we accumuate more recyling items (mainly cardboard boxes) we can store them beside the cans in the unit. Love this purchase! The only thing that would improve it is if I could paint it to match my house!

I have another storage house on the other end of my backyard but it's almost 2 decades old, rusted, full of webs and stuff that hasn't been touched in years. The main reason I bought this was because I'm looking for a shed to store my new bikes. I've looked thru dozens of other sheds from a bunch of different brand names. The other ones that promised me the dimensions I was looking for, would've costed me many hundreds (close to a grand). After spending a bunch on the bikes and accessories, I'm a little short. I made sure this shed had the required MINIMUM measurements required to hold the bikes, and it did! The bikes are adult folding bikes with 20" wheels, and I could've saved space by folding them up, but there was enough room to leave them unfolded. After storing both of them, I still had enough space for another adult size bike, and whatever accessories I needed; such as pumps, maintenance tools, replacement parts, helmets, etc. Also, the booklet does give suggestions on what foundations to build the shed on, concrete, wood floor, etc. They'll give the dimensions on what's the minimum requirements, and which type of lock and max size (5/6" thick lock with max length of 1.5" when opened). It also includes the shape, dimensions of the drywood you'd need if you wanted to insert a shelf for the inside, which they've prepared a slot for it.

This box fits my space perfectly. I first leveled the ground by moving around dirt and then using pea gravel as a bed for it to sit on. Instructions were good, including diagrams. An initial inventory of parts showed that one of the lid brackets was not the right one. Customer service was easily reached by phone and sent me the new parts. Plastic is of good quality. The lid has metal framing to stiffen it. The side walls have a support bar in back and a bit on the sides. Pretty good structurally, especially for the price. Install took about 2 hours with just me, and taking my time. Pretty straight forward and easily done with one person. I used a Bosch hand drill but set the torque very low. Some bolts I hand torqued. Most support braces are screwed into plastic directly. The door hinges attach with brackets that are nut/bolt. The lid hinges attach with nut/bolt but also screws into plastic--definitely don't over torque! Overall, very pleased. Quality is good and should last several years. It is a plastic unit but much better quality than those smaller trunk boxes that seem to fall apart after 2-3 years. Good value considering shipping is included which is probably a $75 value. Box was ripped but as long as the plastic showing is OK, it should be fine. Metal parts and other hardware are in another cardboard box on the inside so will easily survive any damage to the outer box.

I have a digital Masterbuilt Electric Smoker 40 inch (MES 40) that I needed to really cover up as my back patio has no roof. This shed is the perfect height and width for me to safely USE and store my smoker in with room to spare for all my smoker related tools, accessories, etc. When smoking on a rain free day I just open up the roof and the doors all the way and smoke away. For overnight smokes where a shower or small storm might kick up while I'm asleep I prop the lid open with a stick/bar/board about 6 inches and smoke away with confidence that my electric smoker will not get rained into. This was exactly what I needed to handle my smoker protection and storage!

Easy to put together, and although other reviewers complained about the metal braces not fitting perfectly, I was able to get it to work with a bit of planning. Parts are well labeled, and also come with a few extra screws & bolts. Looks great too!

I purchased this unit to act as a pump house. I wanted a shed that was maintenance free and resistant to rot and termites. The shed assembly was easy and all parts fit well. It is a robust shed that is well engineered. To fit my application I cut out the floor and mounted it over my well. I then used self leveling tho set and filled everything back in. The thin set completely filled the plastic base up and made the floor solid. An additional bonus was that the lid lifts up on the unit in case the well pump needs to be removed. Lastly you can use closed cell foam and inject it into the holes located on the inside of each panel this greatly increases the stiffness of each panel. This unit looks great and I highly recommend it for many outdoor applications. See photos

I bought this to permanently store a very large portable generator. It was easy to put together and the resin pieces are reasonably sturdy, probably better than any metal shed for the price. My only complaint is the floor could be heavier duty. The pressure points under the floor flex quite a bit into the flat part. It'll hold up since I won't be going in and out of it a lot but if you plan to store anything heavy in this you might want to cut a piece of pressure treated plywood to reinforce the floor. The locking tab thingy on the bottom is a bit of a joke but it keeps the doors closed and I didn't buy this with any notions that it would actually be secure. Other than that I'm happy with the shed and it's about the right size for what I needed.
