Realistic working boot
I bought these boots for my job, I work for a land surveying company. I walk through literally every terrain imaginable. These boots out of the box fit perfectly and were completely waterproof(At first). The boots still feel great after 1 season of use, no doubt about it. The water proof feature though is great, but it doesn't last forever. It's too be expected unless you buy a all rubber boots. You can walk through puddles and mud and be fine. But you can't stand in water for an extended period of time. It will eventually soak in. But that shouldn't deter you from buying this boot. It also helps to spray the boots down with hydrophobic coatings. You can buy waterproof spray anywhere. Great boot, will buy it again for sure.

my main everyday boots
These are my main everyday boots. I have them in all 3 colors. Great thick heel and they're comfortable right out of the box. They seem plenty warm for winter conditions. The fit is as expected with room for a good boot sock. I will update this review if I have any issues in the future. BEWARE: The color options "Brown Oiled Full-Grain" and "Brown" are listed as two separate options and they look different in the pictures but they are the same boot. I found out by ordering one of each. The Brown Oiled Full-Grain image is the best representation of how they look.

I really liked them and would get just shy of a year ...
My last 3 pairs of work boots were The Timberland Pro steel toe with the rubber toe guard, I really liked them and would get just shy of a year with heavy use. After the price of the steel toe went to $149, I decided to try the soft toe at $100, I paired them with a pair of timberland inserts,...the combination was pure heaven. I can work a 12 hour day and not even want to take my shoes off when I get home. None of my timberlands have required a break in period,..They are comfortable right out of the box. Before timberland, I would purchase red wings, after my first 2 pairs split at the bottoms after only a few months, At the suggestion of the manager of red wings, I spent nearly $300 for a pair of American made red wings as he said they would last longer. After only 3 months the inside lining and padding was falling apart,...I thought, well at least there is a 1 year warranty. WRONG!, they wanted to charge me stating "wear and tear". When I told them I would never buy another pair of red wing boots, they just shrugged there shoulders, an email to their corporate office received no response. I work for a company where work boots are required, and we have alot of employees,...red wings surely lost alot more than 1 customer. Don't waste your money on Red Wings,...Go Timberland!

Best boot I've ever owned!
Perfect boot ...wear them daily.....it feels great on my feet with real leather..seemed a little small at first but once broken in its perfect! 3 months later still looks great using the timberland boot polish and cleaner bought seperate. would buy again its best boot I've ever owned...could of bought something cheaper but the discomfort would not be worth the savings

Best boots...great arch support and pads.
I've been purchasing this same exact boot for over 10 years. I'm in concrete and these boots take abuse. I've tried other leading boots but they don't hold up. I tell all my worker buddies to get these especially if they have foot issues. I even take these hiking. They have a great arch support and pad that doesn't break down. Amazon has the best price. Workin gear also sells these. I've never had the bottoms fall apart. The worst thing was that after 2 years the leather cracked up by my toe. Sometimes I walk in wet concrete and that will ruin any boot. Stay out of concrete so the leather doesn't crack up. Clean and rub leather oil on them a couple times a year.

AWESOME BOOTS!
I NEVER thought I would buy shoes off the internet because when I go into a store I have to try on 3 different sizes depending on the manufacturer, but I was looking for something that would be a great motorcycle boot (yes, I know they make motorcycle boots) but would also be a great everyday walk/work boot.. the second I saw these on Amazon I KNEW they would be the ones. So I took a chance and ordered a 9D which is the most common size I wear varying a 1/2 size either way. True to Amazon Prime form they showed up 2 days later exactly as specified. I received them at work and immediately put them on. Right away I felt the arch hump in the boot felt just a tad too forward and there was a horrible pressure point on my left ankle from the tongue pushing in the wrong spot. I wore them in the office for the next 2 hours thinking maybe they would both subside, they didn't. So then came the dread of having to return them. Now, this is more of a Amazon rant right now, not the boots.. AMAZON ROCKS!!! I couldn't BELIEVE how awesomely easy it was to do a return. I thought I would have to return them, buy another pair, and have both charges until someday I got reimbursed.. not the case my friend. I clicked on the return link and the next page asked if I wanted to return them for a refund or exchange them. So I exchanged for an 8 1/2, printed out the UPS return form, put everything back in the box they came in, drove up to UPS 2 minutes away and BOOM! Done! You can't do it that fast ANYWHERE else. 2 days later new boots where here again (because of Prime). This time... PERFECTION! The arch humps were perfect, the tongue pressure point was gone, they were a PERFECT FIT! I have worn these boots every day, ALL DAY, since receiving them last week and they are like wearing an old pair of broken in sneakers. I rode the motorcycle all weekend in the brisk spring morning air, nothing but comfort and warmth. The bigger test for me is how they are going to perform in the coming summer. I was nervous about the insulation because I want to wear these boots everyday and I'm not sure how the insulation will feel in the dead heat of summer.. but, the description says they are breathable which should make a great difference instead of just trapping in the heat and sweat. I actually read through EVERY SINGLE review about these boots on Amazon and some guy from Florida said he wears them everyday. That made the decision for me.. and I haven't for one second regretted buying them.. even after returning the first pair. I'm not going to tell you to buy a 1/2 size smaller, because who knows.. maybe 8 1/2 is my real size and I always get 9's anyway. Sometimes shoes fit great at 9 other times I have to go up or down. But just know if you have to return them like I did.. it was SO EASY! I love everything about these boots and don't dislike anything. If there is one thing I would say that could be an improvement, it might be hooks at the top instead of eyelets for the laces. I have another pair of boots that have hooks and it just makes it nice instead of re-threading the tops.. but the laces don't always come out either, so it's really not a bother, and it's a fraction of a second difference, so it's not a "con" for me. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!

Nice Quality Boot - Recommend
1. most important, my 9.5 size fit very well, my high arch is accommodated, heel and toes fine with no rough rubbing felt. 2. next, lacing thru loops works just fine - I prefer over some boot models that use tabs as compared too loop holes. 3. next, although I have not immersed yet, upper/lower seal seems secure, and upper leather sheds water. 4. no chafing at rim above ankle. 5. leather styling appears classic and looks good, Summary: nice work boot, I think the Timberland Pro is rugged, will protect my feet while not tiring my feet, and looks good. Nice quality product which I recommend.

Great boot! Heck of a deal!
Best pair of boots I've brought in a few years. Timberland really does make a great boot. Very comfortable aside from the inserts. I use custom orthodox in all my shoes but these are God for cold weather. They have great insulation in them. They're a bit heavier than what I'm use to but I'll get use to it. Great product and I got them on a heck of a deal. I'm sure these will last me for years to come. Thanks Amazon!

... for a number of years and find them a pretty good all purpose
I have used this style for a number of years and find them a pretty good all purpose. This does NOT have a steel toe, I realize this. They are comfortable wearing them 12 hours a day. I find them warm in typical weather, cold weather below 25, you need the right socks, but the boots hold up. the water proof, works well, keep the boots polished and the water proofing holds up. Honestly don't know how they hold up under rugged working conditions. But a facility worker, repairs on plumbing, HVAC, electric. they hold up for 2 years. I like them and recommend them

I will wear these until they stop making them.
I just bought these to replace my old ones(same exact boots), and the previous pair lasted me over 5 years. They were shot to hell by the end, but structurally they held up insanely well up til the last 6 months I wore them. I was not wearing them for style, even though they are stylish. I work 6 days a week outdoors, and spent the entire 5 years slogging them through mud and rain without worry. 100% waterproof up til about an inch and a half below the top of the tongue, and the ankle support is incredible when laced properly. When you get them, they may feel a little too tight on the sides, or a feeling that the sole won't bend at all. Deal with this for a day or two and you will have the most comfortable boots you've ever worn. I don't even own a pair of sneakers, these boots are my everyday shoes for work or anything else. I'm sure I don't need to sing the praises of Timberland, but I could not recommend them enough.
