These Liliane Collection towels are soft and absorbent. Great for kitchen or as hand towel in bathroom. I especially like the way they drape through my refrigerator handle--tidy and compact. I machine washed and machine dried the towels before use. There was shrinkage (see photo), as would be expected from all-cotton fabric. I upload photos here that show nine terry towels (solid red on top) compared to nine of the Liliane Collection towels (white w/red stripe) in various spots in my kitchen.

I really loved this product. Exactly as advertised----even nicer quality. Directions from seller followed purchase - they would. Shrink ( very slightly) , wash before using, and NO fabric softener ( reduces absorbency). They are great! A terrific addition to my kitchen I like them so much that I ourchased a second set as a gift. Recipient is happy as well. BEST customer service ever. They emailed before arrival with care directions. They emailed to see if I was satisfied. They sent a code or a discount for my next purchase. I just ordered the second set and they processed a refund. I didn't ask! I recommend and will purchase from this fompany again. The towels would make great napkins, too,

I am a personal chef, so I use a lot of dish towels each day. I need to be able to bleach them to ensure that they are clean, and I need them to be highly absorbent, so that I can minimize the time that I spend cleaning up messes and drying dishes and counters each day. These are hands down the best dish towels I've ever used. The more I use them, the softer and more absorbent they get. I've already placed additional orders of them, and I see myself using them for a very long time. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!

When I first got these, my husband thought they looked to 'plain'...and too much like just working towels. I wanted to something that works well in the kitchen. These are definitely it. I use them all the time now and will be ordering more. They replace paper towels for me and save me money there as well. They are very absorbent and affordable. Big Recommend! But you might want to order alot...you will use them!

Alert the media! Finally, dish towels that actually absorb water instead of just spreading it around! These towels are a good size, the fabric is close-woven and sturdy, and, most of all, they soak up water. I have relegated all of my old tea towels to the rag bag. From now on, these towels rule. (May 2017) Edit: I wrote this review about 20 months ago, when I bought my first pack of these towels. Since then, some have been relegated to the rag bag due to stains that wouldn't be bleached out. Quite a few of the originals are still in service, though, and I've just put my second order in the washer. These are great towels. Amazingly absorbent, and they dry quickly because they are thin, tough cotton. If you're looking for thick, fluffy towels, this isn't what you want. But if you want absorbent, lint-free towels for a working kitchen, these are perfect. (Jan 2019)

I was looking for a good quality kitchen towel and was very disappointed with some I had purchased at a local store. My complaint was the towels were simply were not absorbent which is the whole point of a towel is it not? I researched a lot of towels before setting on these. They are great towels- very absorbent, thin enough to get inside glasses to dry them if you so desire. The design is simple and they are a good size. They fold neatly to stack in the drawer I keep them in. I would highly recommend these towels. I have not found towels if this quality at any retail outlet including Williams Sonoma or Crate and Barrell.

I washed these and dried them on low heat without dryer sheet just as instructed before using them. They came out lint free and super absorbent. I can actually dry my dishes and put them away immediately so easily now that I don't leave things out to air dry! I especially love them for my wine glasses. I keep them white by switching them out every week or so (I have 13 of them after all) and treating spots before washing them. I also wash them only with each other to keep hair and lint off of them. (Don't use dryer sheets! Switch to wool dryer balls to keep these and your other laundry nice.)

I used to cook in professional kitchens and these towels are just like the ones we used in the pro kitchens. Yes, they are thin; they are supposed to be thin! That way, they dry quickly - you also aren't supposed to use one for weeks at a time. You use one for a bit, when it gets dirty or wet you throw it in the wash and get another - that's why they come in large quantities. They are very well made, 100% cotton. I've washed them several times now and haven't even had one begin to fray at all. I like that the towels came with specific instructions on care - that's always helpful. I heard other reviews stating that they came out of the wash wrinkled but that hasn't been my experience. They do have a herringbone pattern to them and that does make a bit of a ripple in the weave, but they're certainly not what I would call wrinkled. The size in this listing states 14x27 but the package shows them as 14x25 - and they are pretty much BOTH. When they arrived, they were 13 7/8 x 26 5/8. After a washing they were 13 1/2 x 24 1/8. If I had to pick out a complaint it would be that a couple towels came with a small slub of red fiber in them - but really that doesn't even bother me in the least. But if you like perfection, that may bug you a bit. All in all a great product at a great price.

I love these towels! We use them as dinner napkins. I got the idea from a friend of mine who first saw them at a classy restaurant and went online to find and order them. They're about the size of a full size placemat, so perfect size for a napkin. We wanted to cut down on our use of paper napkins, which along with other paper goods are getting pricey these days. I had forgotten how much nicer it is to use cloth napkins on a daily basis. These become softer with washing and are very absorbant. They came with instructions to wash in cool water and dry at a cooler temperature to limit shrinkage. (They are 100% cotton and are supposed to shrink some.) they also said to was them before first use. I washed them in warm to hot water, along with some other wash. I dried them in a hot dryer. They may have shrunk a little more than they would have in cool water, but since they're being used as napkins that doesn't bother me. I also want to be able to wash them with other items and not have to do a special load. They came out a little wrinkled but it's acceptable to us for everyday. I will iron them when using for company. Maybe.(I hate ironing!) I think they may come out less so after washing a few more times. These have a tight herringbone weave which looks really classy and sets them apart from some of the other vintage look towels. I also have a set of the blue striped towels and am using the red for Valentines and Christmas. I just ordered the green for the St. Patrick's Day season. I folded them in half the long way, rolled them up and placed them in the basket on the kitchen table. I'm attaching a photo so you can see how nice they look. (There are 13, but a few are in the wash.) I'm also attaching a photo of one right out of the wash. They come out a little wrinkled but they're fine for our purposes without ironing. Two thumbs up for a great product! 9/27/15 - We added some gold/yellow stripe towels for fall. These also are being used as napkins.

I bought these for a specific theme date evening with my husband and 4 young boys. They were perfect size for all of us, and they became universal in usage. Folded into four's they were hot pads; looped over our apron strings they became perfect for the inevitable clean up and wipe off; and they were still in usage for clean-up after the evening of cooking and prep with boys 7-11 years old. They wash as well as any white towel but they don't shrink. These are now my new favorite, always need in the drawer and looped over the oven, towel! I've never had such a versatile towel work so well for a variety of needs all at once by amateur to professional user. Perfect product for wedding gifts, student going back to school, or just because.
