I've been doing live sound reinforcement for almost 30 yrs and have to admit, at first I was skeptical about this active sub. because of the low price. However, after I received it, I noticed that it was very well built (it's heavy). It has all the features that I need. You can adjust the X-over frequencies between 50-250Hz. It has a full range and it also has a HPF (120Hz) output where you can feed your top. I found this feature very useful because the sub has already taken care of the lower frequencies (<125Hz), and I don't want these low frequencies to go to my top cabinet. But at least it gives you a choice between the two for your top. The cabinet also has a built in fan that turns on when needed cooling. For the sound itself, the folded horn sounded awesome. I think two of these would be able to cover a room of about 300 people. I only purchase one to test it out first, but I'm going to get a second one. The only downsize of this sub is its weight, but the wheels should help to get it to where you want it.

This sub, is way more bang for the buck, than I could've asked for. I'm in a popular local band that mostly plays venues with sound support, but we have been expanded to corporate parties, and private events, so of course we have decided to provide our own sound and light reinforcement. We have been skating by using 2-15" and 2-12" mains with no crossover or low end punch. This sub, is exactly what was missing, we've utilized the on board crossover, and the sound and quality we are able to get, is quite amazing, I will be ordering another to even out the stage, but power wise, one is all we need. most of our private events cater to about 300 people, and this sub, along with a Behringer ep4000 and previously mentioned speaker set up, it is perfect. I highly recommend this sub, the quality of the construction, the quality of the sound, and the economical price point, far out way any high end sub on the market.

Bought three one had a bad power supply so had to ship it back. Using in a club in nyc nightly and putting it through its paces. Not dure it eill last 18-24’months but for the money a great product. Otherwise custom csbinets and separate amps are way costlier but it is solid for the money and most applications rill be perfect for it. Mobile dj low background fill in etc

I'm all about quality, but I'm not made of money so I'm also about getting the most value for my dollars and WOW. I was comparison shopping and was either going to get a QSC K-Sub or the 18" version of the Rockville and save $500 to use towards other necessities. I decided to get the Rockville to anchor my band's PA, but after double checking the measurements decided I would need a new vehicle just to carry it around in (the thing is a beast). So I decided to give the little brother a try at 1/3rd the price of the K-sub! Package arrived very quickly with damage to one of the corners. I pulled the 80lb speaker out and bolted the wheels on with no issue and only discovered the damage to the bottom corner once I flipped it upright. One strange thing is that it made my whole house smell like sawdust? (weird) I dig the very nice inset handles, no worries that they're going to pop off like on my old JBL EONS. note: if you have a history of back problems or hernia, don't hurt yourself, call a friend. It's big, bulky, and should only be handled solo by someone fit to do so. Loading it solo into my truck was kinda like picking up a mini fridge FULL of beer (and the big brother 18" weighs an extra 50 lbs!). Since I really want to get to work with this thing I decided not to ship it back over a ding that can be fixed with a little wood glue (looks like it happened in transit). Only design suggestion I'd make is for rockville to reinforce the corners with metal caps. I took it to storage and hooked it up to my PA (yamaha mixer with mackie thump 12's) and was really impressed by how great it sounds. One of my favorite features is the adjustable crossover. I ran several different styles of music from rock to hip hop to jazz through it and this thing hits really hard and the lows are nice. Since I've only tested it outdoors at my storage unit I can tell you that if you're wanting to rattle audience at an outdoor event, you will need at least a pair of these to give yourself some headroom. But then again I was pushing it to see how it would reach me from 100+ feet away outdoors and it was starting to clip. BUT up close my pants were vibrating. It did compliment the mighty little thumps perfectly and very curious to hear it at a small indoor venue with a band coming through it.

I like this sub a lot. It's a great choice if you're like my band and just need something affordable that will do the job. The sound is clear, there aren't any rattles in the box so far, and I can't push it hard enough to make it overheat. It's not particularly loud. In fact, I was somewhat surprised that it wasn't louder. I purchased a second one to complete our live rig, and run it with 2 Mackie Thump 15a speakers. It's certainly plenty of power, and we always get compliments on how good the sound is. There are better subs out there, but I doubt you'd find one at this price point.

I bought this sub because of the features & power. Nothing out there compares! Our singer bought a full Rockville PA system and we’ve never heard better!

Yes sir! Can do! ;) Solid unit. Ordered two. The positive connection for input is a nice assurance. The foam around the amp cradles the vibrations very well. As I can see the only issues with rattling would be if you strip the wood around the screws from over tightening. I used a carpenter trick and angled the screws toward the outside of the cabinet maybe 10-20 degrees so the screws grip more wood. If your an audiophile/soundtech and don’t like putting things together.... idk how to help you. The amps and subs came on the same truck. The amp is quite hefty and the speaker in box is 130lbs alone. I’m grateful they were separate. The high pass works beautifully. They are in my club house (probably for the winter before I set up the full pa outside) and they make the porch vibrate! Oh yeah- they also smell like they were produced next to a maple sugaring shack! It’s not PK, but oh my... this has review has taken half an hour because I keep melting into the sounds....

I DONT KNOW WERE OTHER CUSTOMERS PURCHASED THIS SUB, BUT HERE WITH AMAZON EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER, THE ONLY THING YOU NEED TO DO IS UNBOX IT, CONNNECT AND PLAY. WEELS CAME SEPARATE AND SCREWS ARE NOT LOSE THEY ARE ALREADY TIED TO THE BOX, YOU JUST RELEASED THEM AND INSTALL YOUR WEELS IF YOU NEED IT. NO SEPARATE AMP, NO SEPARATE SCREWS, NOTHING DAMAGED, EVERYTHING CAME IN ONLY ONE SHIPMENT. THIS CAME IN DOUBLE BOXES PLUS A REALLY THICK FOAM, IS HARD FOR THIS SUB TO GET DAMAGED. I DID MY SOUND TEST LAST NIGHT AND I WANT TO SAID WOW, THIS IS A GREAT SUB, EVERYTHING IN MY WHOLE HOUSE WAS TREMBLING, AND THE BASE WAS HITTING MY CHEST HARD, AND I WAS NOT USING ANY MIXER, WITH A MIXER THIS SHOULD SOUND MUCH BETTER. THE CROSSOVER WORKS GREAT, YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR AND FEEL HOW THIS CROSSOVER CUTS FREQUENCY. I ONLY FOUND 1 BAD THING, THE BASE MAKES THE AMP VIBRATE AND YOU CAN HEAR NOISES ON THE BACK PANEL, BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE RIGHT ON FRONT OF THE PANEL AND THE SUB IS REALLY LOUD BUT ONCE YOU MOVE YOU DONT HEAR NOTHING ONLY THE DEEP BASE THAT THIS SUB PRODUCED, I BOUGHT IT FOR ENTERTAINMENT MY FRIENDS AND MY FAMILY WHEN WE DO PARTIES AT HOME, THIS WILL BE CRAZY.

I had already a Samson 18" (1000W says it has only 500WRMS), a Yamaha DXS 12" (950W, only 450WRMS), and a EON 518S 18" (1000W... it barely reach 300WRM... liars!). I am savvy on this matter because I am an Electronics Tech and a singer, doing strictly music for living (no less than 4 gigs/week). Have two QSC K12... and four Mackie's DLM series... when you put a sub with those speakers, it has to be strong!. I sold ALL those subs on eBay, craigslist and to a friend respectively. Bought one of these, do you remember the Mackie SWA1501?. This Rockville is exactly the same structure! but improved!. The Mackie only used a large aluminum heat sink that goes from top to bottom on the back of the unit, Rockville put the same heat dissipator inside the back, along with a variable speed fan which turn on when the unit is 131ºF. Bye to the worry about hot specially when you are at open spaces light parks or plazas. I already checked Rockville's website, the same unit's price there is $899... After testing the sub I have determined to sell the others and purchased another, don't be scared about seeing an excellent powered sub for $350, instead get one, because when this company gain reputation, you'll probably will pay the website's price!. For your confidence, I spoke with one of their engineers in the customer care dept., which apparently is awesome, and I received a satisfaction guarantee of 30 days or total refund and send the Fedex vehicle to my home to pick it up. With all these, thinking about, I have paid $700 for each one of the olds, making a quick analysis of each one to compare their pros and cons, I can say the Samson is good, in fact was the best of the old ones, the Yamaha was very portable but not powerful, the JBL got blown, and was the most beautiful, the repair's cost was so high that I preferred to sell it for $100, I think was the worst of all three. The Rockville is heavy (83lb.) but it has casters! My experience is also a lesson learned, sometimes a brand name does not means that you have the best...

This sub produces great sound and is surprisingly clear. I have been very satisfied with my Rockville system. I have 2 power gig speakers and now 2 power gig subs and I rock my events.....A++
