My 2 Chihuahua's (5 & 6 yrs old) and my Schnauzer (2 yrs. old) love this food! My finicky pups are now devouring their bowls of food. There still little so it lasts them all day and then they get a little more at night but love it. They enjoy picking the little pieces of chicken out first and then eating the kibble. I have to make sure my one sneaky chihuahua doesn't try to eat the little pieces of chicken out of the other two's bowls;) I'm so happy I found this food and it comes right to the house once a month!

My little Petals 11 months old weighs approximately 3-1/2 lbs......took her up until recently to finally go over 3 lbs. she loves this food....but to me the most important thing is that she has been on the tiny puppy up until last month I decided to,place her on the adult tiny breed...being Petals is such a tiny maltese so delicate her tummy does so great on this food....most very tiny puppies have such delicate tummies and many have allergies, if you do have these problems unless there are certain indegrients that your vet has told you to stay away from, I recommend Pro Plan Focus for adult toy breed! My baby loves her food so much she absolutely throws an all out screaming fit if she is on the sofa with me looking back into the kitchen/dining room and sees another dog evenCLOSE to her playpen.....her little house, love it so much more than a metal crate!!

Our 10 year old rescue Chihuahua has never been a "pet me lap dog" which was OK because his coat was coarse. When we got another rescue Chi, she was so soft and full of energy!. They sent some of Purina Pro Plan with her because that is what she was accustomed to. Pepe used to be a finicky eater, but when we gave him the Pro Plan, he eat it! Over 2-3 weeks, his coat got very silky and soft. He's become very social and figured out that being a "pet me lap dog" was great thing! The vet asked if we saw any signs of him like slowing down and getting older. No we haven't! He and Angel race around the yard guarding us from monsters like squirrels and roadrunners.

I love that I can buy this dog food on Amazon for cheaper than I can buy in the store. I have ordered this for a couple years now and never had an issue. My Pom/chi rescue dog lines this over all other brands I’ve tried. The pieces are the appropriate size for her 12 pound frame and small mouth. I would recommend!

I have a dog now. I honestly didn't intend to get one for a while, but well...here we are. She's a maltipoo (Maltese/Mini Poodle). She's 11 months old and she's looks like a Q-tip with legs. I'm not sure what her early story was but when we got her, she wasn't big on any of the food I tried. Several days passed without much of a bite. I tried wet food that was easy on the tummy from the vet and Royal Canine Maltese dry dog food. The vet recommended Purina Pro Plan brand so when I couldn't find it, I went with her second choice (the Royal Canine). On the fifth day, I called a top Maltese breeder because her behavior and appearance seem to take more after that breed and he told me that this type of dog doesn't live to eat - it eats to live. He mentioned that she was reaching that upper limit of time that he would expect this to happen. Apparently, it's not too uncommon for the breed when they are stressed. He mentioned this food as it is what he feeds his champion dogs. Fortunately, after day 5, she decided to start eating the Royal Canine. When it was time to get a new bag of food, I remembered the vet and the breeder both STRONGLY recommended this (these two individuals live in different states so there is no risk of collusion here). I bought it from Amazon (love the price too btw) and tried it out while I still had some of the other food left. She.Ate.It.Up And I mean seriously. This dog is kind of a grazer eating a few bites here and there. Not this day. It was weird. I know it's a hit now but we had a few days left of the other food and when I put her old Royal Canine food back in her food dish, it was like giving a 6 year old brussel sprouts...She gave me those "Do I HAVE to, Mom?" Yeah, kiddo..Ya do. But if you eat your old food you get the new food. I'm a mom of 4 real sticky, silly, picky kids, so puppy dog eyes don't work as well as they did for my pre-kiddo puppers. I've toughened up. Except about the brussel sprouts. No one is that evil. Update: We have now had this fun loving Maltipoo on this food for about 6 months. Her coat is shinier. Her weight has increased but in a positive and healthy way. When we got her at 11 months old, her back hip bones were very prominent and remained that way even after 2 months on the original dog food mentioned. Now, she has a healthy weight and those bony protrusions are gone with a reasonable amount of healthy body fat. The vet was very happy with her check up visit. Side note: Now that she has had it for a while, she has figured out that there are some bites that are her "favorites" and so she eats those first, and then goes back for the rest of the kibble. She's figured out that more isn't coming if she doesn't finish what's in the bowl first.

We were recommended to use Purina Pro Plan when we discovered our young dog had serious sensitive stomach issues. How serious were these issues? I'm talking diarrhea in his crate and on the walls surrounding his crate, DAILY. Nothing seemed to resolve it. Our dog trainer friend recommended this food as high-quality and excellent for sensitive bellies. To our surprise, the stomach issues stopped immediately. We will never use another food. We highly recommend it!

I chose to buy this line Purina food bc of Vet told us our little girl had to be on a special diet and we had a choice between Hill's , Purina or Iams. And we had always had good luck with Purina on taste with of our furbabies. They have always taken to it like it was going out of stock. And I don't Hill's at all so that was definitely not going to stay. I did my research and found out this found also has prebiotic and Probiotic to help with our little girl pancreatitis from flairing up,and would work with her diabetes not against them. And of course she loves the shredded meat chucks too. She begs for her food, so we have to watch how much she eat and we let her eat her steam veggies, and bell peppers as treats and she thinks she is in heaven. We even carrying little toss&go bowls when we travel with her insulin in her cooler fill already with her food and her veggies. Our friend's dogs even prefer our food over their own food too. So we have already have had friends switch too and them and their dogs are happier now too. I would and have already highly recommended this dog food. I have seen a complete healthy change in our little girl and more energy too. She is always happy and born ready to go bye bye. Will continue to buy and recommend this kind of food.

My super picky and spoiled table food shih tzu actually loves this after trying so many to breasbreask from the bad habit of too much people food!! She would not touch even the finest dog foods!!! She loves the chewy bits and then finishes all of it!! We are so relieved she is eating healthy again!!!

The commercial stated that this would help your older dog's mind be a lot more bright and playful I have a 14 year old chihuahua, I saw a difference in less than one week, he's twice as playful and three times as sharp. The commercial is not hipe. If your older dog is anything like mine you will see a difference in your pet within 2 weeks

My pups like this food. I mix it with the expensive Fromm dog food. I make homemade dog food once a week also. I posted a pic of my homemade dog food. 1 lb ground turkey, 1 lb ground chicken, minute rice, veggies. Easy Peary. I freeze it.
