Worth the Buy!
No regrets with this screenwriting software. Definitely a learning curve, but wouldn't trade it for any other software. The new features in 10 are just what I needed.

Gotta cop it mayne!
Very cool tool. If only you had some ideas!

Industry Standard Screenwriting Software--Get It If You're Serious!
Great software (and one of two most popular and used-by-the-industry). Easy to get you going--beats trying to set margins in MS Word (which can be done, but it's a pain). Some of the screens are not explained well, even after using the HELP menu. But the basics are clear.

Best screenwriting software
I recommend it to every screenwriter and even playwrights. It takes care of formatting and helps immensely with the tiresome non-creative aspects of writing such as formatting, spellchecking, redundancies in namings, etc.

Final Draft
Once I started using Final Draft I found it easier to focus on writing and not on the script set-up. This means that I am free to write sometimes in a stream of consciousness manner. This is why I have used Final Draft continuously for twenty years and will continue to use Final Draft. I have had one script shortlisted here in Canada and, like other screenwriters, have ideas for a few more. With Final Draft I can just sit and write. It is easy to recommend Final Draft and I hope you find it as satisfying as I do.

This software changed the way that I write scripts. ...
This software changed the way that I write scripts. I probably only use a fraction of the features, but it gets the job done.

A good product.
I bought this for my grandson who is working on a screenplay. He is very pleased with the product. He was able to learn the software easily, and it's helped with productivity and organization of his work.

Final Draft 9 is a No-Brainer!
As a novel writer, I was at a bit of a loss when a movie studio requested a screenplay of one of my novels. After a little online research, the Final Draft 9 software, as the industry standard, was a no-brainer. The software featured exactly what I needed to know, without getting bogged down in a bunch of technical fluff, or unnecessary features. In just a few hours I was able to use Final Draft 9 to create a simple step-by-step game-plan for adapting my book into a concise and profession screenplay. The fact that they offer a full-feature demo version for download, before you buy, is a VERY nice feature, as well. By the way, if you're new to this software, I would STRONGLY recommend you order a copy of the book "How to write a great script with Final Draft 9." by Wallace Wang. The author walks you through the screenwriting process, and the specific features of Final Draft 9 in an easy to understand, conversational tone, and with no wasted words. Regardless of your starting point, with just an idea for a screenplay or, like me, a published novel to adapt, "Final Draft 9" will save you hours of unnecessary work, and help you produce a script you can be proud of. Between the Final Draft 9 software, and Wang's book it was so much easier than I thought it could be! Perry P. Perkins www.perryperkinsbooks.com
