This is level one to install. The little screen is included so don't let Amazon talk you into ordering one. You probably should order the yellow orifice just in case it may be plugged. The direction of the water flow is clearly marked by an arrow on the valve. In a setup like this there is no wrong way or right way to hook up the two wires. All you need is a philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers to install the valve. It you find your humidifier stopped working because water has stopped flowing into the humidifier, you have about a 90 percent probability this is what needs to be replaced.

The fix was very simple and I saved $60-70 plus labor. I have a 10+ year old Aprilaire 560 and all of a sudden the water to the unit ran most all the time and boy did we have humidity in our house. I called the furnace company and was told the part was 90 something dollars plus installation, I figured something less than $30 I'd try a little DIY. Very easy fix a wrench, a screwdriver and 30 minutes and I was back in business, my compression saddle needle valve was inoperative too so I replaced that too all under 30 minutes and I figure I saved at least $100. The Gems Sensor did look a little different than the part I took off but everything lined up fine.

Our humidifier never worked since we moved in our house over 2 years ago and someone suggested we replace the solenoid. Even for an amatuer handy person, it was fairly easy to switch. Made sure I turned off the water and breaker box switch for the furnace. Took just a few minutes, made sure there were no leaks before turning it back on. Now it works every time the heat turns on. So glad not to have dry air with it getting colder!

This was a bolt-in replacement for the failed Aprilaire solenoid valve. It does come with the tiny filter screen on the input to the valve. I was able to reuse the compression fittings and tighten the connections so they were free from leaks. To test the solenoid you can turn up the humidistat until you hear it click "on", then with the furnace running for heat disconnect one of the wires leading to the solenoid. By making contact you should hear a click. You can also test for 24VAC at the connection with a multimeter. If you measure 24V but do not get the click then your solenoid has failed. If the shutoff valve for the water supply is working then this will be an easy job; shut off the water, replace the valve and you're back in business. I had to replace the saddle valve that had failed over the years, which required shutting off the water to the whole house. But now it works like new.

My humidifier hasn't worked since 2010 when my house was built. It never mattered to me because I keep my house cold in the winter...62 during day, 58 at night. However when my girlfriend moved in that all changed. So, long story short, my old sensor had corrosion on it, never worked from day 1...I replaced it with this one and humidifier is all good now. Working like a cham. No more dry skin.

Works well, almost perfect replacement for my humidifier. Filter pre-installed is a plus. my previous outlet was an odd 5/16 metal tube that I have to replace with 1/4" tube in order to make this work. Not a big issue, but I needed to run by the hardware store to finish install. The mounting is exactly the same as my previous solenoid valve and all the rated specs are exactly the same. All in all, nice price, nice part, and my humidifier works again with this and a couple bucks worth from my local ACE hardware - plus Amazon got this delivered on a Sunday with Prime and I didn't have to pay anything extra. Big benefit for sure.

I have a Carrier whole house humidifier. The most important thing to match is: the 24 volts , orifice size (3/16"), and the pressure up to 125 psi. Yesterday, I installed the valve . It works well with the whole house humidifier. I had a little difficulty in making old copper tube to fit into the inlet to the valve. his was due to the inlet copper tube was with calcium deposit and was just a hair larger than the valve inlet. I managed to file the tube to size with a metal hand file and it did not take long to do it. Rest of the installation was easy. No leaks after the installation. I saved the labor for installation by an HVAC technecian . ($ 100.00 +/-) The OEM valve was almost twice the cost of this valve . I recommend this to all.

It works. I replaced an old pump that may or may not have needed to be replaced, but I rebuilt the entire system to make sure it would work properly. That being said the installation was simple because everything was already in place (water line, screw holes, etc). The only thing I didn't do was install the inline filter. It is supposed to go in the supply side of the pump but my filter would not fit. It was almost as if there was already a filter in the pump. I messed around with it for about 20 minutes before I said hell with it and tossed the filter in the tool box for someday.

The valve in my Aprilaire 550 was stuck open. Ordered this replacement on Friday and it was delivered on Sunday. Mounting holes, inlet connection, outlet connection, and wires were all identical to the original (and this was half the price of one from Aprilaire). Took 10 minutes to replace (would have taken 5 if my unit wasn't in such an awkward place). Now I have a working humidifier again!!

Problem: Honeywell(Aprilaire) all-house humidifier is no longer putting out water over humidifier filter. Solution: Sensor A2120-S150 I rarely write reviews but this sensor saved me over $200.00 instead of hiring a HVAC company to replace & install. It was an easy install just turned off the h2o, disconnected the wires from the old sensor and replaced with the new. The item number was different then the OEM listed, but when reading the spec's it clearly states the old item # replaced now with the A2012-S150. The best part, I ordered the sensor and it was delivered that same day @5pm. I had it installed and operational by 6PM. Amazon not only saved me money but Amazon got me the part delivered before the HVAC company or Ebay's next-day quote. Instead of spending $200.00, I purchased my part from Amazon and they delivered for $ 42.00.
