I bought this product for my iPad Mini 2 (MF074LL/A) 16GB Retina Display. It fits the device perfectly and keeps it protected while also working as a stand for watching videos on it. The cover closes magnetically and automatically locks the device when closed. It's sized perfectly and all ports and switches line up so that they're perfectly accessible. I like the way the case has a cut out around the Lightning Port instead of covering the area and having a hole cut out for the port. The reason I prefer this method is because some cases that cover the area create too much thickness which can prevent you from using devices that plug into the Lightning Port like a USB drive or some types of cables/chargers. This case allows easy access to all ports while still keeping the device protected and allowing use for watching video. Overall, it's a great product and I'm quite happy with it.

Finally, the case I have been looking for! The color is vibrant purple, just as pictured and the fit is great. I really like that the cover and back case are connected. Coverage is excellent, corners and sides protected and all ports/camera opening, etc. line up perfectly. The back cover is a substantially constructed rubberized, non-slip material that offers a good gripping surface; the front cover is lined with soft gray material that pads the screen well. Magnetic closure works well, putting the iPad mini to sleep when closed and waking it instantly upon opening. I don't really use the feature for folding back the cover to allow iPad mini to stand up with horizontal orientation, but the few times I've tried it works just fine. I look forward to a long, happy relationships with the new JTech iPad Mini cover :)

Fits nice and snug not bulky good price

It does exactly what it supposed to. I got this for my mother. For some unknown ridiculous reason my father purchased one of those overpriced logic tech keypads (at apple)with it like he does every time he buys her one of them she doesn’t ever use it neither does anyone else. Quite frequently it fell right out of it after about a year of having it. Keep in mind that we never took it out of the logitech case it just became loose. So far so good with this. I have purchased something similar to this before for an older iPad 2 and they work fantastic. I don’t know what security features mean so I’m not giving any stars . If we’re talking about does it lock or something no but that’s not what I have it for. It does exactly what its supposed to

Great alternative to the high-priced Apple version of this case

Yeah, I paid a lot more for the authentic Apple version of this case---one time. When the kids started asking for "more colors!" for their iPad Minis, I got several of these instead of shelling out the big bucks. This model fit both the original iPad Mini and an iPad Mini 2, no problems. The front flap auto-standby works perfectly, as does the foldable stand. The back cover adds no bulk and is lightweight too. Good value!

Love it. Replaces another that finally bit the dust.

Great little case. I had one in purple that was a twin to this one, although the other one had a "brand" on it - Mercury? Something like that. At any rate, after I dropped it numerous times it finally wore out (though it did its job of protecting the ipad). This new one is identical and I have every reason to believe it will serve me just as well. It's lightweight, which is really important to me. Slim. All the pertinent buttons are accessible, etc. When the ipad is in "landscape" position, the cover can be used as a nice ipad stand. Best of all, I had a choice of colors. I chose neon green because I figure it's going to be harder to lose than something darker.

Excellent customer service

As soon as I got my order, I got the usual email some companies send asking how I liked the product. I was concerned that the support part seems a little stiff and didn't hold so well. They responded right away, offered some suggestions, then let me know I could write if I still had concerns. I did and they immediately sent me a new one. It came right away. I think some times something goes awry in the factory. A seller can't control that. It is how the seller deals with the customer that matters more to me than knowing there will NEVER be an error. I was so pleased and impressed with their service I have noted them to see their offering for other future things I may need. They have me sold. That said, the case fits perfectly, is easy to put on but stays on snug. The magnets in the front that folds to be a stand work well (now) and I feel secure my ipad will stay in place when I set it up. The color (rose gold) is just like I saw it in the picture.

Although the Apple brand case was great, I just didn't want to spend that kind ...

I previously owned an iPad for which I had purchased the Apple brand case. It served me well for 4 years. I recently purchased an iPad Mini and, of course, needed a case. Although the Apple brand case was great, I just didn't want to spend that kind of money. I saw this case with Amazon Basics banner. I had previous positive experience with Amazon Basics products so I felt that I couldn't go wrong, especially for $11.95. I have not been disappointed. The case fit my iPad Mini perfectly. Although this case is not quite as substantial as the full size iPad case I had previously used, it is more than adequate for my needs. I don't know if this is a fair comparison as the Apple brand case for the Mini may also be a little lighter weight.

Good Product, Good Price, Good Quality. For My iPad Mini 3

I bought this for my iPad Mini 3. I used to go on eBay and shop around for very cheap cases for my gadgets. I actually came across this one on eBay but I found it here, so I decided to buy it on Amazon because I had Prime. The quality is great for the price. The cover is rubbery and soft on the outside, and it is soft enough on the inside that it won't scratch your screen. The inside has some sort cloth-like feeling so it might actually clean your screen as well. The actual case part is a hard plastic, but the texture feels rubbery. The inside of the case that actually touches the back of your iPad is plastic, but I'm sure that it won't scratch it because it's pretty smooth in there. The cutouts are pretty good as well. You got cutouts for everything like your camera, volume buttons, microphone, speaker, etc. You got the sleep/wake feature enable in this case be because of the magnets. There's also another magnet that connects to so that the cover can keep its triangle shape. Speaking of the triangle shape, you can use that to make the iPad stand in portrait or landscape mode if you're familiar with the smart cover from Apple. There is only 1 angle that you can put the iPad at though. Overall, I think this is a great case to get if you want something with a variety of colors and that's great for the price. I haven't had it for a while, but I think this will last a long time. I'll update this post if it ever does break.

I'm kind of euphoric over this case!

I have no idea why it is having this effect on me, but I am kind of euphoric about this case. I had a $40 split buffalo case that I liked a lot, but after opening and closing my iPad mini probably 10,000 times (literally, 10x/day, 365 days/yr, 3 years) or possibly more, that case started coming apart in layers. I chose this one based on so many 5 star reviews, plus the reasonable price. Didn't have to think too hard, or keep researching. I got the green. Like it. It fits my 1st gen iPad mini just fine. Sleek, protective, magnetic cover works as well as the $40 Apple product, and it includes the back protector! The case arrived with a card stating 6 month warranty. I love the case and would highly recommend it to anyone. UPDATE, May 1, 2017: I still like this case a lot. It feels like part of the iPad, it is so sleek, works so well, and in a good way you don't notice it. My lime green case started to get dirty almost immediately, so I am back and will probably get the black. Sad because the colors are great and at least give the iPad a bit of personality. But my dirty green cover is embarrassing. Still, these are an incredible bargain.
