Awesome GoPro pole!!!! Great quality and made out of good materials and doesn't seem like it break anytime soon. Came fast, but the first one I received was slightly damaged with a few chips and scratches in the paint that normally wouldn't bother anyone, but me with my OCD, and was a little disappointed. I contacted SANDMARC and requested a new one not expecting to receive a new one, but SANDMARC was super nice and responded to me in the same day telling me a new one was on its way and that they would pay to ship the damaged one back to them. I didn't expect such nice customer service but was pleasantly surprised. The product is awesome and I used it in Scotland when I went Coasteering, which is pretty much jumping off of huge rocks into the freezing waters of Scotland. I got some really cool shots and the product is super easy to clean. They say that when you use it in salt water you should rinse in out with fresh water. The entire pole came apart so easily and nicely for me to clean the whole thing out. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a GoPro pole.

I bought this pole for my Hero7 Go pro for whale watching. I have put this pole in the ocean to video humpback whales that are swimming under our boat and/or close enough to video. The ocean is NOT calm . . . and I am hanging over the side of the boat with the pole in the water with a $700 camera at the end. Most "selfie" sticks aren't long enough to get into the water from the side of a boat. The current was strong and the pole worked like a charm. Back on shore I heard a story of someone else's pole snapping and they lost pole and camera to the bottom of the ocean. NOT WITH THIS POLE!!! Bought one for my nephew since his GoPro pole broke with the current as well. Length easily adjusts in seconds. Fits in my camera backpack. LOVE.

It is sturdy and heavy, though was a little wobbling and you just need to tighten the locks harder to make it work right. Rubber grip I think is much better them a foam covering, however it add up the weight. 10oz vs 6.7oz e.g in Smatree SmaPole. The item first photo doesn't really show improvements they made in this pole. Now it come with aluminum tripod mount and different adjustable wrist strap not as on the photo. Remote holder clip is super-tight, you need to push the remote really hard to put it there, which is good for real extreme sports I guess. It is good, both well made, materials, etc the only thing i'm concerned is weight, it all together with remove, it's pretty noticable. That's why I am still looking on Smatree SmaPole cause it much lighter, but it has the odds too, like foam covering. Will see how it goes.

I’m not sure what everyone is talking about when it comes to waterproof and rusting. I took this pole to Hawaii and it was used several times underwater and no rusting occurred. Just make sure to wipe it down after you use it. I’ve had the pole for several months now and use it frequently. There was a little bit of a learning curve at first with my GoPro Hero 5 Black and trying to take a picture without a remote. But as long as you hook it up to your phone, you can easily use that as a remote.

Great quality selfie stick for the GoPro. Haven't used it in any water yet, just walking around but so far it's great. Awesome build quality, easy to use, extends to the perfect length, lightweight and I love the wrist strap which makes it a lot easier to carry. I don't use the remote clip but that's a good feature to have. It also comes apart very easily so it's easy to clean if you ever get sand in it. Oh and the metal tripod attachment that lets you attach your GoPro is really high quality and I prefer it over the actual GoPro one. Definitely recommend!

Just got it today. One stated that the remote doesn't fit, got that also today, it's tight, hard to snap in place and the same to remove it. Just wondering what one is supposed to do with the acorn nut for the clamping screw? The end web on the mount is threaded already! As a lock nut? If so one would need a wrench to fit. If it's not tightened it'll be lost easily!

I'll be super honest. The reviews from others that gave sandmarc 4 stars or less is on point. Here's why. When I received my pole I was super stoked!! I thought this thing was solid. Best quality ever. However, when I attached my gopro it was a tad loose. Loose where it'll fall forward or backwards depending what you're doing (ie. water sports). It sucked cuz now I have to put paint tape inbetween the mount where the gopro & the pole connects. It helped for the most part but I have to tighten the hell out of it! Long story short, through ware & tear of super tightening... The mount finally broke. I've super glued it & it worked fine just as long you don't connect the gopro. I thought about twisting the mount off from the pole but it wouldn't budge. So before I try to force the mount off, I've emailed sandmarc to inquire if they have replacement parts or if they can help me fix the issue. I sent them a picture & a video of what part of the mount was broken. This is where SANDMARC should have 10 stars instead of 5. Right after sending them an email, I received a reply just like that within 10 minutes!! Here's the break down of why they should receive 10+ stars. We've communicated via email. Apparently, I have the old telescoping pole. The defective mount was a glue on & they did not have a replacement. They told to me that they're sending me a brand new telescoping pole & for me to send back the old one. I did have to pay for the shipping & handling for them to receive the old one but, I'm getting a new one!! 3 days later, I got my new & improved solid telescoping pole with a twist off mount. This mount is more solid because this one isn't loose at all compared to the defective mount. The pole is still the same. SOLID! A couple of days later, they've emailed me to see if I got the new pole. Like so, the customer service that I've received this year was the best so far. The transaction went smoothly with no headaches whatsoever!! It's crazy, this pole is a lot cheaper than all the glamorized big branded name poles. Its durability of this pole is up to par if not better than it's competitors. Why would you want to pay more just because of a brand name? Save your money & still get the same quality as the big branded names poles. Buy SANDMARC products. FYI I'm not an employee if sandmarc. I'm Just spreading the good news experience! Any issues.... Contact them before complaining!!!!

excellent pole for my gopro 5 black, only issue I had is with the gopro attachment that came with it, the silver nut I guess it would be called is not attached so it falls right out after unloosen the screw, quite easy to lose because of this and its tiny.. and now I can't get the screw piece to loosing.. I'll have to buy one of those handle little tools I see on amazon,

Couldn't decide which pole to get based on people's comments on several different ones so I just said screw it and picked this one and I am glad I did. This one worked perfect for a week of Bonaire diving wit my GoPro HeRo 4 Silver. Nice extension length, any shorter and I would not have been happy. I needed every inch to stay far enough away from marine life without spooking them as well as getting down in some tight spaces where some critters were hanging out. I did have the the camera loosen up on the end bracket a couple times but I just had to remember to put in on nice and tight each time and had no more issues. Extending and retracting underwater worked quick and Smooth and super easy to lock down. The only thing I'd change would be to have it retract one more section so it would be shorter so it would fit inside a BC pocket but other than that it worked great

This is an awesome accessory for your GoPro. I have jumped out of a helicopter and spent a week backpacking in Patagonia with this pole in hand. It is very well built and sturdy even when fully extended. The twist mechanism for each extension stage make it easy to quickly extend and retract. When collapsed it is just a great overall handle for a gopro for taking more stable video. The pole has a standard camera tripod threat at the top which is attached to a GoPro adapter. The one thing I would have liked is to have an attachment that enables me to attach a point and shoot camera as well. I can attach one to the threads at the top but it is then stuck rigid to the top of the pole and can't pivot for the self-shot.
