I like it!

Very happy with this product and it exceeded my expectations for the price point, especially if you take into consideration that it comes with 3 months free Sirius service. I will warn you that based on other reviews and my experience that Sirius will fight you on this, but stand your ground and be firm like I was and they will cave. It turns out that what I learned from them that they're having an issue getting reimbursed from the manufacture and they were trying to not give it so they didn't have to fight with the manufacture to get there money. I told them that wasn't my problem and they finally gave me what was coming to me according to the packaging.

Great gift for dad

I bought this for my dad for Father's Day because he couldn't get sirius in his new car. He was really excited and hasn't stopped talking about how he can listen to the Beatles station whenever he wants! It came in perfect condition and had everything included. I chose this because it was all in one, which made it easier. Installation wasn't what I expected, but I also didn't look into it, so make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. It all worked out well though!

Perfect!

Bought this for my husband to use in multiple cars. He loves it. We have one kit in our truck and another in his car and it is so easy for him to move from vehicle to vehicle. He also took it on a trip from Ohio to Missouri and had no major issues and said it was just like having an actual XM radio installed in the car. He did say the audio is a lot clearer if you use the included aux cord, but using the included transmitter worked ok too.

The Best Radio They've Ever Made

I've been an XM radio subscriber for over a decade...since 2002 as a matter of fact. I've had many radios over that time. This is easily the best radio they've ever made. And it's not even close. The good: - It has 20 presets; two banks of 10. I've found that to be more than enough. - Screen is bright, easy to read, and organized. - TuneStart. This alone is worth the purchase. After the radio has been running for a few minutes, whenever I tune to a station in my presets, it starts at the beginning of the song. It makes scanning around for music a far more enjoyable experience. You'll never again find a song you want to hear and only be able to catch the last 30 seconds. - TuneMix. Start this mode and your radio will play one complete song from a random preset. After the song ends, it'll change to another channel and play another complete song there. It works with most music channels and it's an easy way to listen to a mix of all your presets. The best part of TuneMix is the ability to skip a song you don't want to hear and simply jump to the next one. - Supports the Xtra/2.0 channels that only the newest XM radios can tune to. These channels have far better sound quality than the regular 1.0 channels. The bad: - If you're an audiophile, XM may frustrate you. The standard 1.0 channels often sound compressed. The 2.0 channels sound much better, however. - Plug and play radio. The plus is that you can install it yourself. The downside is that since you're doing it yourself, it won't be as clean of an install as if the receiver was built into your car. Doesn't bother me, but I could see some people wanting something more integrated. - FM Modulation. The FM transmitter can be weak. The signal is further degraded if you have multiple devices plugged into other outlets in your car (e.g. my iPhone charger). Luckily there is also an option for a direct connection via an AUX port. Overall: This is a fantastic radio. There's a few shortcomings but they aren't the fault of the radio itself. If you want SiriusXM, this is the radio to choose.

GREAT RADIO

This was a birthday gift for my wife. First Sirius home radio for us so ive hit the new purchaser things others fail to explain. You get the antenna, radio , docking system together. Speakers you provide separate. Assembly was almost effortless. The antenna is not what you would think is an antenna flip open unit with a simple plug in so no need to run it outdoors, it sits on a higher shelf by its self. Very simple plug ins to power and speakers. Easy straight forward to use with detailed explanation and GREAT customer service. just can not ask for more.

Very nice feature set for the price

This is a great little XM radio. It allows you to save 20 favorite stations! This means I can have 10 for baseball and 10 more for everything else! Plus, it can pause the programming while I fill up my truck, so I won't miss any good action. One really nifty feature is that after the radio has been on for awhile, you cannot only pause the program, but you can go back and re listen to that song you love! Hit the button once, go back ONE song - hit the button twice, go back TWO songs and so on. Have you had that experience where you flip through your favorite channels, and all of them are playing crummy songs? Well dang! But with this radio, you will never have to endure this unbearable frustration again! The "go back" feature works across all the music stations, so that when a crummy song comes on the 60s oldies channel, you can switch over to the 70s oldies channel and back up a few songs until you find one you love! If you can't find a good song on the 70s station, just click on over to the Love Song channel and repeat the process. You will never have to listen to a crummy song again! Paradise, almost... Anyway, for the price of this radio, you will be impressed by its features. Get one.

Easy installation

Easy installation- after several years on my old XM radio, it finally just wore out Ordered the entire package very reasonably over what I could pay for it at a local audio store or a truckstop! Especially pleased with the adhesive radio stand that enables me to place it anywhere on my dashboard I wish If you are halfway handy, you could install this and hide the wires etc. with just a little investment of your time.... The three months free upfront was a nice gesture also

Perfect!

Excellent! We’ve had XM/ Sirius satellite radio for many years. This receiver is excellent and exactly as described. The one BEWARE to keep in mind is the advertising of one free month and free activation is misleading. If you are a new subscriber you may actually receive this. However if you are a current customer you will not receive the free month. When you call to switch your current subscription to the new receiver they will TRY to charge you a $15 activation fee. Refuse to pay it and they will waive the fee! Same when it’s time to renew your service at the inflated prices :)

Great radio and simple installation

Just bought this radio because I live in a place where you can only get a single station sometimes. After looking around, I decided on this radio since it had a color screen and the "Xtra" Channels. The set up took a little while but most of the time was spent cleaning up the cords. I attached it to the middle vent on the passenger side and it looks great. I placed the antenna on the roof, passenger side, just above the windshield. I ran the cord along the edge of the windshield and then into the car. I used electrical tape to put the cord under the dash and hidden so it won't be an issue. You can't even see the cord until it plugs into the radio. I use the provided Aux cord to play it through my car's stereo and it sounds amazing. Very happy with the purchase. Please know that there is not a free month trial of service.
