Versatile Chicken Broth!

This is a very versatile and tasty broth for me to use. I purchase it through Amazon because it is delivered to my doorstep and the price per carton is very reasonable. There are only two of us in our home, but we use this chicken broth for all kinds of recipes. I am so glad that Amazon carries it. If I can purchase items on Amazon, I will do so every time. I don't like having to shop around. Thanks Swanson & Amazon.

Excellent product that helps entice my sickly cat to eat.

I have a cat who is on a special diet and this simple stock makes a great base for her food. Thank you Swanson for keeping this unsalted and onion free stock in production. This was my first time ordering it on Amazon, and the case arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The best if used by date is 9 months into 2017, and none of the boxes have leaks. Note: I noticed some reviews saying the individual stock boxes arrived unsealed. I think there can be confusion with this type of packaging, as simply twisting the lid for the first time drives cutters down into the seal, and if the seal then bends down under, it will look as if there had been no seal present at all. I thought the same thing the very first time I bought stock in one of these boxes. I have been buying this exact same product locally for over a year and haven't encountered any seal issues or spoiled stock.

Best broth

This is my all time favorite broth for all cooking but especially for soups. Even tastes great sipping as is.Taste and quality are tops. When I purchased it online the price was 10 cents cheaper per quart than at my grocery store. But I noticed that the price has increased, so will need to start purchasing at my grocery store again. Too bad! It was so convenient to have it delivered.

Please, Please, Please--Don't stop having this unsalted Chicken Stock. I can't eat onion powder, yeast extract, msg, autolized yeast, or garlic without becoming violently ill. I have searched for 25years for a broth or soup I could eat . I cried when I found this! I have been living on soup made with it ever since--a luxury I waited for all those years of awful dietary limits. I beg you not to take it away!

Great for weight loss drink. No Salt with 5gm protein!

The Chicken stock is Low salt and 5 gm protein. The Prime delivered subscribe and save price is cheaper than Walmart (if your Walmart even carries no salt Stock) or any other market I’ve checked with. I add benefiber to it and drink it to make sure I get enough protein and fiber for weight loss.

I use this for many recipes!

I have these delivered to me from Amazon, as I am getting older and like the heavier things delivered. Love the broth, just always carried them home. I like delivery way better! I use the broth instead of water in rice. It's a base for so many soups I make. I throw some in on stir-fries. If you don't use it all when you first open it, keep it in the fridge, and it must be used within 14 days from first opening.

A review from Mrs. L. ❤️☀️❤️☀️❤️ I have been living on this broth for the past week. I came down with a severe case of laryngitis and the doctor recommended hot broths and soothing hot teas. My husband doctored up the broth with a little onion powder and garlic powder and poured it piping hot into a large mug and it has worked wonders at soothing my throat. But, my real point of writing this review is to say that I love this broth for many reasons. Having a heart failure patient in the family who must eat a drastically low sodium diet, there is so much food that must be prepared from scratch. It is exhausting, but I would not have it any other way. Gone are the days of leisurely cooking stocks and stews. Breads are so high in sodium that I had to create bread recipes that had NO added salt or sodium. Everything must be researched and measured and added up. People have no idea what patients and their families have to go through with this progressive disease. Sorry! This stuff brings out the teacher in me! Anyway, we have found this broth to have a wonderful flavor. It is so convenient and adaptable to many dishes. I like to poach chicken breasts in it with added herbs. Of course it is a wonderful soup base, but it also adds flavor to cooked vegetables. Dicing up salt free homemade bread with herbs, adding diced celery and onion. Moistening the mix with unsalted butter and the broth made a delicious stuffing during the holidays. Cooking pasta or rice in the broth adds a lot to the texture and flavor. So, if one is switching to a low sodium diet, this broth might not seem as flavorful at first. But after our palate adapted to a lower sodium diet, you could taste the richer flavor in the broth. I also love it's convenience. It makes life easier for the cook and one doesn't have to spend hours and hours preparing low sodium broths, straining the ingredients, putting them in containers and taking up valuable freezer space. I just cannot say enough good things about this broth. We keep it in our pantry all the time! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

the STOCK is a better option. I will be buying more of this

Delicious! We cannot buy this locally, so I was thrilled to find that Amazon carries it in their warehouse. Swanson STOCK has fewer ingredients in it than Swason BROTH contains. For those with food sensitivities, the STOCK is a better option. I will be buying more of this. Update: our second order wasn't so great. The box arrived damaged and five of the twelve quarts were unusable. Shame, really, as this stock is such a great option for us.

Always have this on hand.

I order this broth by the case and always have it on hand. I use chicken broth in so much of my cooking in many different ways. This is so much easier than getting it at the grocery store every time i go. I used to get the normal, not low sodium, but when it boils down for a gravy or sauce it condenses and makes the dish way too salty.

Large size improves a lot of my soups and sauces,

I knew what was in the shipping box so I was very careful when opening it. Everything looked fine but the next morning the shipping box was damp.I removed one carton at a time to see if I could find the leaks. The third one I removed from the box leaked air from the folds on the side of the carton. I put the "breathing" boxes in the refrigerator until I need to use them. These are big boxes so I can use it over a couple of days. The rest I store in the cabinets. I was concerned the first time I used one but everything was healthy and tasty.
