After dreadful experiences in the past with less expensive timers I have so far found Gilmour timers to be the best on the market for my purposes. This timer is easy to program, easy to adjust settings on the existing program, doesn't have issues with cross threading and doesn't leak. My previous 4 outlet Orbit timer that was horribly expensive was also easy to program. However, within a week of use one outlet stopped functioning and leaked a steady stream of water. The company quickly replaced the one outlet but within a couple of months a second outlet began to leak. I threw out it out after the first season. The Gilmour timers that I have purchased last through many seasons and are still doing their job with not leaks. I now have 6 of the Gilmour dual outlet timers installed. Quality product.

Great timer for my gardening landscape. I feel it works grest and so easy to set the programs. Battery life is excellent as well. Once it is set, the program is there. You can also over ride the for watering at the moments need.

overall I like these timers, took me awhile to get used to how the water day's work 1 through 7. I consider myself pretty smart at figuring things out but for some reason I had trouble with these so here's the skinny on how the water days work......7 means it water's every seventh day, 6 means it waters every 6th days, five means that water's every fifth day, etc, 1 means it will water everyday. do not let them freeze or they will be toast.

This was the answer to my problem of not having a sprinkler system and having to move hoses and water one spot too long and others not as long. The timer lets you set each side at different times (if your water pressure isn't that high) or the same time. I have one side connected to 3 spike sprinklers and the other side connected to 2 spike sprinklers. if you don't like watering your grass, then this is for you.

Works perfect for my application. I use it to control and shut off walking sprinklers. Sections of my yard take longer than the 360 minutes (6 hours) programmable per L or R port. I ran both outlet ports to a "Y" connector and back to one outlet. When L or R port has ran out of time it can be programmed to switched to start the other side for another 360 minutes allowing a total of 12 hours.

I bought this product close to a year ago when I decided to use drip irrigation for my pots and plants. Easy to use and easy to install and did what it is supposed to do. Very recently the display started to give up. I checked my order status and saw that I still have one month left on the warranty. So decided to reach out their support team. Went to their website and saw a section for warranty claim. Filled all the required information and then heard nothing for few days. I thought it not going to work and won't get anything, but then I got surprised to see an email a few days later that they have shipped the replacement piece. I was totally impressed and was also pleased to see that the company is ready to stand behind their products and customers.

Love this little genius! Only thing wish had done different was get the version with two outputs but by no means putting this excellent timer down, just something I would have done different in hindsight. We travel a lot and always hated asking someone to water plants on deck. I spent few hours installing my watering system, hooked it up to the Gilmour and have forgotten about it. Summer heat is hard here so have set for twice daily, 10 minutes each run and plants look great. Wish would have gotten a Gilmour timer years ago!

This was great for vacation programming. I Was able to water the greenhouse and gardens at different times and durations. The price was fantastic for what you get. It was larger than I expected which made it really easy to read. Turn the dial and program each setting or use the manual water button. I was highly impressed with how easy it was to program while having multiple functions. Having a broken foot this summer makes for difficult watering. Have been using it as a daily waterer, so easy!!

I was a little skeptical about this thing at first due to some of the 1 and 2 star reviews, but it worked nicely for me. It's made of plastic, so use common sense and don't overtighten the fittings!! Also, use a reputable brand of batteries because you don't want it to get stuck in the on position when you're away from home. It does have a battery life indicator on the screen, so that's nice. Anyway, I love it overall for watering new grass in my yard and if I have any issues with it in the future, I will update this review.

Like it so far but read on. Over the past 10 years I have used many hose end timers. All but one have failed within three years if less. Often much less. The DIG 7001 lasted 10 years but it's newest model is now over $100. I have never tried a Gilmour so here goes. I will report back if or when it fails to let you know how it lasts. It works well. PLUS: Replaces 2 regular timers Not hard to set up Takes AA Batteries and I use rechargeables. Reasonably easy to read display. Timers work independently. Says that it has a memory so that reprogramming is not needed when batteries are changed.I will report back. Has a manual setting where each side can be bade to water for a set time manually. Not both at once. Defaults to 30 min which I like. Good price MINUSES: If it dies while I am away it will destroy both sections of my jungle garden rather than one. Like nearly all of these timers it shuts the water off very suddenly which can cause a "water hammer" effect in the pipes. While this is usually harmless it is often audible. I install a section of hose before the timer to soak up some of the shock. I just make a several feet of hose and then fasten the timer at eye level above the spigot. Makes it easier to read too.
