This was just what I needed
This was a life saver! As I was packing up after selling my house I found a hole in the wall that I had covered with a decorative plate and forgot about twelve years ago. I needed a quick hole patch kit. This one was just perfect. The screen was just the right size to cover up my secret. Everything I needed to repair the hole was included in the kit even the sandpaper. Within a day I had repaired the hole and painted it. Just in time for the walk through. Thank you 3M for saving my butt.

This Product is Wonderful!
Last week my shower curtain rod came right out of the wall. It just fell down leaving a 3-inch hole in the wall and all I knew about spackling was from observing my father's do-it-yourself projects. I opened the top and scooped out a bit with a 1-inch spatula to fill in the middle where the hole was the deepest and left it to dry overnight. Today, I added another layer of sparkle and tomorrow I will be able to finalize the job. Great product and I had no problem.

Best Patch Kit On The Market
I'm in the second house I've owned so I'm no stranger to home repairs. The one I'm currently in has shoddy construction work done on the inside and I needed to patch a hole left behind a toilet in a bathroom. I've used patches before but never had great results. This kit has everything you need to do a superb patch job! The mesh has a metal mesh in the center and makes the patch stronger and there is plenty of construction grade spackle to ensure a perfect seal. The sandpaper block has just the right grit to sand the finished patch smooth and not accidentally dig into the mesh. It was easy, mess free and quick to apply. No hassle, no fuss. From now on, this us the only patch kit I will use in the future.

Great product for small holes
I am sorry that some people had a bad experience with this product- we thought it was great. Had a small (3 inch) hole in a room behind a door, so the fix didn't have to be perfect. However, the mesh was easy to apply and stuck well and there was more than enough spackle to cover it. For the price it made the job easy. Everything you needed in one small package that came right away.

Easy Kit, Works Wells
Perfect. Exactly what I needed to patch two drywall holes. I had none of these materials and a kit was just simple and easy. The holes I patched were about 1.5"-2" and I was able to cut the mesh patch just fine to use for both. The mud was easy to apply. I second the other reviewer, to get a nice flat wall surface you need to apply the mud thinly and in a crisscross pattern, let dry, sand lightly and repeat. Paint. Easy

If I can do it, anyone can
Hey, this worked! I'm living in a condo with a weird little gap cut into the drywall underneath some window trim in a tricky corner, but couldn't imagine paying someone to patch it when it was so small (maybe half of a playing card size). This little kit had all the stuff I needed, and instructions that were easy to follow. I cut the patch to suit the gap, attached it, smoothed the stuff (whatever the right word would be), and let it dry. Now I have no hole in the drywall, it looks great, and I saved a ton of money.

This product looks great and fills holes smoothly
Patience is key on spackle. Fill the hole and let it dry. Sand it and look for uneven areas or bumps. Re-spackle. Maybe a professional carpenter can do a single pass and be finished but for me this process takes a few days. I find even just using my hands to put the spackle in makes it much easier and I use the putty knife on round 2 or 3. This product looks great and fills holes smoothly. I ended up not using the metal wire sticker and just filled in a 50-cent piece size hole with the putty. This is enough putty to do a bunch of "smaller" areas that need patched.

Wow. Excellent Fix
I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this but the movers had accidentally pushed the door into my drywall and made a door knob size hole. It was a pretty good-sized and I did not know if anything would fix it Since I'm moving out I didn't want to get charged for it. I got this and we put it on today and you cannot even tell there is a hole there. Once you put the little screen tape over it then put the putty over with the putty knife let it dry and sand it down you can't even tell and there was a hole the size of a door knob. In fact you barely even need to sand it. I am very grateful for this product and highly recommend it

Awesome product by 3M
I'm a first time DIYer when it comes to dry-wall spackling. This kit had everything I need and the finally product looks great. Can't tell the difference between what I did or what a professional would have done. It also comes with enough Spackle for much much more than what anyone would need which is good if you have areas that the mesh underlay is not necessary, applying second or third coats of spackle to get the layering right, or just other areas that need touching up. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to do a quick small repair. Unlike other products, you're basically guaranteed to have the spatula included instead of guessing if you'll be one of the lucky customers that gets an opened box with missing items...

Great for Moderate Damage
We wound up with a huge hole in our wall due to the use of skinny drywall at a property we were renting. I was worried about our security deposit, so I purchased this to patch it up. It worked great and completely covered the hole. It dried quickly and it included everything I needed to fix the hole myself. When everything was done, it blended really well. Would recommend purchasing something to texturize over it if you have textured walls.
