Not the most powerful amp I’ve used, it is the most powerful amp I’ve used at this price point. Running 1 12” sub. Amp does get warm but no warmer than expected I.e I can touch it with the back of my hand at its hottest

For those giving poor reviews due to "not enough power" you should research your product and what you intend to use it with, or have someone who has been in the audio industry help you. I've been in car audio for 15 years, professionally trained, worked in various shops and competed in SPL competitions, among a myriad of other things. Bottom line: This amp works great for what it is. This will not blow you away, this will not pound anything, it is made to add a few smaller speakers to a setup if you are looking to get a bit more sound. I utilized this in an install recently adding a set of lower end Pioneer 6x9's to a wagon that already had four 6.5's in it. Sound was clear, power matched to the 6x9's beautifully, worked as intended. I also run the 3000.1 monoblock and a 12" SSL in my daily driver, I wanted something inexpensive but good sound, not disappointed. Will this win any comps? No. Will it sound good for the money? Absolutely. Most head units nowadays put out at least 50w and since this runs 50w RMS @ 4 OHM you wont gain much switching from a head unit to this amp. This is one designed primarily for those wanting to add 2 more speakers to their setup to just gain a bit more sound. For the DOA ones, any company mass producing will have products that fail, unfortunately most of the people who speak the loudest are often due to poor experiences. Such is the industry. If you are looking for an amplifier, know the speakers you intend to use, match the amplifier to them. If the speakers handle 80 RMS, get an amp that can do 100 RMS. If you can run your amp at 80% rather than 100% it'll save the life of your amp significantly. You can always dial an amp back, you can't dial it past 100%.

Solid sound and minimal audio engineering. Buy this and be the person all your low budget friends hate.

Running a BOSS Audio 2400 watt mono block amp and these things sound great. Ran the amp pretty low for about a month or more when I first bought them to for a "break in" but now I can tur the amp all the way up and they barely distort. Very impressed with the sound for never have heard of them before.

I gotta say, I'm very happy with this amp. No altinator whine, and I love the small form factor. I got an opened box deal for $20 - which basically puts this amp in the "disposable" class. It performs well above my expectations. Get this if: 1. You want a performance boost to a stock head unit 2. You want something that's easy to find a spot for 3. You don't want to deal with thick wiring I highly suggest getting an active line out converter. I have an Audiocontrol LC2i, and I think it may make a world of difference to the quality you get because of the increased signal output. I'd buy this again... In fact I'm considering one for my rear door speakers too!

So I'm a 20yo college student and I wanted a little more oumf in my 2 6x9s in installed in my 2011 Chevy cruze. I just finished installing and tuning it and I'm blown away how much difference it has made in my performance. I'm running on the low pass setting and can feel every vibration. If you want sound but don't care about shaking the mirrors off the car next to you. I HIGHLY recommend this amp.

I don't have a lot of power demands - only two 6.5" rear speakers. Amp does a great job. Looks well made with a comprehensive owner's manual. Easy to hook up. No complaints.

Small easy for add on speaker up grade. Good quality material, easy install.

so far every ssl product I have bought and installed has been value priced and does it job flawlessly this has a small footprint for space restrictions and now days the smaller the better especially in a day cab big truck not a lot of places to hide or mount excellent for your highs mids and 5 to 6 inch woofers the product I like the best from ssl so far is their 10 inch powered space saver sub woofer what an awesome product I will definitely buy another one in the future!!!!
