Husband proof!!
OK, here's the deal. My husband is a total disaster in the kitchen. I seriously considered taking Rita Rudner's advice and putting up barbed wire, but he has wire cutters. Therefore, I am stuck with him sneaking in to the kitchen and heating something up (I won't go so far as to call it cooking). Many of my pans are cast iron, so he can't do much damage to them, except it took me awhile to make him understand one doesn't soak them in hot, soapy water. Ditto my stainless steel cookware - pretty much husband proof. My copperware is off limits - period. BUT - the man just can't stay away from the pasta pot. Most people snack on cookies - he snacks on pasta. My favorite pasta pot is a cheap thing I bought at Walmart, with a thin coat of Teflon (or something like it) and a locking drain lid. Somebody could make some big bucks if they replicated this pot in better quality but that's another story. Anyhoo.......hubby was begged NOT to use the stainless utensils in said pot but to use the wood or nylon. Being a cheerful sort, he complied. Sigh.....he has managed to destroy an entire set of bamboo spoons by leaving them in hot, soapy water to soak - plus he stirs so hard, he scratched the pot. So then I went to nylon and quickly found out he had an affinity for melting nylon utensils - and still scratching the pot. The pot is no longer made but I had bought several of them. I'm down to only 2 replacements, so it was time to take charge and ensure no more damage to these pots. I had one Kitchenaid spoonula and was pretty impressed with the performance - and lack of scratching. But they don't, to my knowledge, make an entire silicone set. Trusty Amazon had this set featured and the reviews were very thorough - and very encouraging. Could I have finally found the tools to defeat the mad pot scratcher??? When these arrived, I washed them and then immediately tried them. Well made utensils with a nice heft to them. The turner slid very nicely under fried eggs and gooey quesadillas. The spoons stand up to heavy stirring and the spoonula does a nice job of stirring and scraping the side of the pot - without scratching. The soup ladle is sturdy and handled a heavy bean soup Sooooooo - the last of the bamboo spoons and nylon utensils hit the trash and hubby was asked to use the silicone. The reaction was "but they're red - aren't they for special?". Yes, yes - they're red and they're special all right - just not how you think.......... So then the ultimate test. Surveying the scratches on the pasta pot, tossed it and retrieved one from my stash. Sure enough, hub wandered out to the kitchen and made himself a batch of butter noodles. I surreptitiously watched - and he was stirring with a vengeance. I must report total success - the pot scratcher has been foiled - and foiled in style..Not one scratch in sight, despite his best efforts. PLUS - the greasy traces of butter slid right off the spoon with a quick swirl in hot, soapy water.. FINALLY - utensils he can't destroy and maybe I won't run out of pasta pots while waiting for someone to bring this particular pot back to market! In all seriousness, these are quality tools - for ANY cook (or heater upper). They are the right length, they are well built with a solid feel to them, no nooks or crannies for food to get into, and they can take the heat - literally and figuratively. And did I say they don't scratch? I have only 2 observations. I would like a bit more size to the bowl of the ladle and I would love to see these in black. However, the red is growing on me and the ladle size is just a personal preference. These are some seriously hardworking tools and I am very glad I bought them. I have added the spatula set, the tong set, the baking mats and the baking set. I find myself reaching for these tools, regardless of what pot I'm using, so I sent a set off to my brother - he's an outstanding cook but he too has an affinity for scratching pots. Thank you StarPack - you have invented the cure for the dreaded pot scratcher disease! Edited to add: someone posted that these got dull in the dishwasher. I ran them through my dishwasher 10 or more times, with no similar issue. But then, last night, they DID come out dull looking - almost like a grey film on them. I immediately washed them down with Dawn and that removed whatever the film was. Then it hit me - I changed dishwasher detergent brands. I had been using Cascade gel but opened a bottle of Finish. That got me looking at everything else in the dishwasher from that load - and everything looked dull. In my case, it was the dishwasher detergent and NOT the silicone. Ran out and got a bottle of Cascade, ran everything through again, including the silicone utensils - NO problem. Might not even be the brand of dishwashing detergent, but how it's particular ingredients react to your water. For me, problem solved.

Best utensils for Stainless Steel or Non Stick
This is a review of StarPack Premium Silicone Kitchen Utensil Set (5 Piece) in Hygienic Solid Coating - Bonus 101 Cooking Tips (Cherry Red) I love high end products and do not mind paying for them. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I purchased these utensils to replace my wife’s old ones because we got stainless steel pots and pans. These utensils are quality and worth the price. First the packaging was great looking. Their marketing team know how to make the packaging pop! Finally, the utensils themselves are freaking sweet. I bought these as the other reviews were quite good, but I had never used silicone utensils before. Less than five minutes after we began using the utensils we were hooked. Since then we have gone on to purchase more silicone utensils from the local kitchen supply store as they had more variety. My wife is very hard on her kitchen equipment and these are very sturdy. I can see us using them for years to come as they literally show absolutely no wear or tear from use. I would recommend StarPack Premium Silicone Kitchen Utensil Set (5 Piece) in Hygienic Solid Coating - Bonus 101 Cooking Tips (Cherry Red) to anyone looking for great high quality kitchen utensils at an excellent price!!! The product arrived fast and with no shipping hassles. If my review was helpful for you making a decision then I would appreciate if you would take a moment and mark my review as helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Nice quality for the price
The handles are a bit shorter than I would like, but overall I love this set. Very easy to clean! Tested it out with cheese and caramel (not at the same time!) and the force of the water from the tap is enough to remove the food bits. So far they seem very sturdy and I like that the silicon coating is over the entire utensil- I've had other silicon utensils with handles of different materials. They fall apart or water seeps into the seam and causes issues.

Great products!
I had some "elevated" utensil set made of high heat resistant plastic materials, but when I saw the tips melting little by little, I knew I had to replace them (I did love the elevated feature!). After doing some fair amount of research, I finally decided to give this utensil set a try. Honestly, the first impression wasn't the best: the colour was bright, but a bit darker than my other poppy colour kitchen gadgets; the 10-11" sizes seem way too petite even for a my petite size. I almost returned them but decided to avoid the hassle and keep them. After using them for two months now, I can honestly say that I love them, even their petite sizes feel so perfect now. They feel good in my hands, and they look attractive and do not take up much spaces, not to mention the peace of mind of leaving them in my hot pots occasionally. I use them almost everyday, but I personally find that the two spoons a bit small and shallow (I guess they are more for mixing and I am just used to my big round skimmer). All in all, I don't regret throwing out my old set for these and would definitely consider buying more of their products.

Fairly good price and very nice quality
I was looking for teal or turquoise kitchen utensils for a long time and I don’t understand why they are so expensive! These were decently priced compared to everything else I came across, the color is very nice very close to the photo on the listing and so far really good quality. They are heat resistant but I never leave them in a pot that has the heat going. I’m not sure if they would get burned with the edges of the pot but I don’t lime to run that risk. Another good thing is they don’t get stained with red sauces (like pasta sauce) so far at least... some silicone utensils tend to get stained but these so far so good! I will update in a few months on their condition. If you like my review and think it’s been helpful give me a helpful like :)

Safe Cooking for a Growing Family
Every time I read a review for cooking-related things on Amazon, most of the top products are either great to use OR safe to use. Either it's a super-ergonomic sippy cup that emits poisonous fumes when you look at it, or it's a fair-trade bamboo whisk that doesn't kill pandas but also doesn't work. So when my great to use nylon kitchen utensils started disintegrating bit by bit, I figured "hey, I'm cooking for a wife and a very little kid, I'd rather put food in their spoon than spoon in their food." Silicone tools handle heat a lot better than nylon (that's why hospitals love 'em) but they're floppy. POISON SPOONS OR FLOPPY SPOONS? BEHOLD MY FIRST WORLD PROBLEM. Anyway, these tools have a nylon core so they're not floppy, and a big silicon shell so they're not poison. It's diplomacy at work. Plus there's black for serious people, red for *really* serious people, and teal for people like me who telecommute and need personality from their ladles. 5 stars all around!

Quality products from StarPack
Love the StarPack product line. These are nice and sturdy, will not get limp no matter how long you leave them in a pot of hot food. Wash up easy and don't absorb odors. I have given this set to all my family members and the baking set was their stocking stuffer this Christmas. They come in other colors too. There is a spaghetti fork sold separately. Perhaps an eight piece set that included the spaghetti fork and another spoonula (the handiest, dandiest kitchen utensil ever invented) could be their next offering.

Nice sized
So far, so good! Bought both the regular sized set and the XL set. See the photo for a comparison.

Metal is soft but silicone is nice
The silicone is perfectly heat resistant, and doesn’t get bits of silicone in our food (our old plastic ones were leaving behind bits of plastic from being melted, hence the switch). However, don’t think you can just leave the spatula on the hot pan, do something else (like fill up a pot of water) and come back and roughly scrape the pan again with the spatula, because the heat definitely softens whatever metal is within the utensil and you can very easily deform the utensil when the metal is hot. I wish the metal were more rigid, because I’m not sure if the metal can break within the silicone from being bent too much, and then destroy the silicone, but I guess time will tell. The silicone does protect my nonstick pans much better than the old plastic crap we had, and I like that it helps scrape some of the sauce off the side of pots and pans pretty easily too.

The absolute best utensils available!!
I've worked in kitchens almost almost 20yrs, and in all that time you learn what makes kitchen utensils great. These silicone utensils are the best!!! Heat resistant, durable, easy to use and clean. They have just about any utensil you'll need on a daily basis. I've owned mine going on 2 years now and have had no problems whatsoever. As a matter of fact I have away all the other utensils I've aquired over the years and replaced them all with StarPack!! They have won my loyalty and respect for as long as I live.
