The ironing board arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It is ready to use right out of the box. The cushy pad is already on it and I can raise it higher than most boards, which means no more hunching over! I am very happy with this purchase.

I found this board to be sturdy, stable, and well made. Much better than my previous, much cheaper ironing board. I really like the little stand to place the iron. Also, being a leftie, I appreciated that the iron stand can be set up for left-handed use. I also liked that the board can be easily set up to different heights. One thing I think could be better is the weight: considerably heavier than my rickety old board, but I guess increased stability comes at a price. This board is the perfect size to hang in a full size wardrobe for storage between uses. Sadly it does not come with a hanger hook, which you can find in other models. The value for your money depends on how much use you give to this product. If you have only a few pieces that need ironing, you might be better off spending half the money and putting up with a bit of inconvenience a fee times per year. I iron weekly, so for me this board has been money well spent.

This is a huge ironing board! I love it so much! I is so easy to iron my quilt blankets and other sewing craft projects. The ironing rest is pretty sturdy and the adjustable vertical height option is so awesome! It does take up some space, but it folds up pretty neatly and I can tuck it next to my washing machine and the wall (probably about 5-8 inches of space).

This is a very nice ironing board. I got the plain off-white linen-look cover because I don't need all the wild colors or designs. The plain cover suits me fine. This ironing board is easy to put up, easy to put back down, and -- here's the most important factor -- sturdy even on carpet. You do not want an ironing board rocking back and forth with a hot iron on it. I've only a number of ironing boards in my day, and I like this one the best.

Product arrived on time. So I've never been much into ironing. I never iron my own clothes, and I would only once in a while iron my hubby's clothes--with his tiny, table top ironing board. I've only recently started sewing skirts and vests for my kids, and was tired of using the tiny ironing board to try and iron out yards of fabric. And I decided to order myself a bigger ironing board. This one is perfect. It's large. I love the rest area for the iron. I love the pattern! In fact, I love it so much, now I'm ironing all the clothes--even my own! I would definitely recommend this ironing board!

The ironing board itself is solid. Sturdy and well made. The cover just sucks. If your like me and you push down when you iron then the cover will start to wrinkle and thus wrinkle your cloths..... Which defeats the purpose of ironing... Anyways replace the cover with a quality well made cover and this is winner. One more thing, the clip to fold the iron board for put-away is a little stiff and only on one side. So unless you remember little things expect to play with the bottom of it while you get use to putting it away after use (if you do).

I was initially considering buying a cheap, lightweight ironing board, possibly a desktop or over-the-counter style, but I'm glad I chose this one. For three reasons: 1. Stability. The heavier metal ironing surface and frame provide great support for ironing bigger pieces like sheets and duvet covers. The iron holder keeps my steam iron handy and secure while in use and during cooling. 2. Mobility. While the board isn't lightweight, it being freestanding allows me to take my ironing anywhere. 3. Durability. I haven't had this board for very long, but it's clear from the high quality that it was made to last. The 10-year manufacturer's guarantee isn't bad, too. The provided cover is sufficiently padded, and the board underneath is metal mesh, making steam ironing large surfaces a breeze. Worth the higher price if you're looking for a stable, freestanding board that won't fall apart in a few years.

Wow! What a difference in the Brabantia board from others I've own. I am almost 70 years old and have been ironing for 60 of those years. I still iron a lot - including sheets and pillowcases. I was so fed-up with my last board, I tossed it out on trash/recycling day. Ironing with the Brabantia is a new experience. This board DOES NOT ROCK. It DOES NOT SCREECH! Even ironing on a carpeted floor, the board does NOT ROCK. I don't know what it is about the surface of the board, but for some reason, it irons better than any board I've had. I bought Size 'B' which is fine for men's & women's shirts and trousers. Of course, the height is adjustable and there is a handy iron rest. This ironing board is STABLE & QUIET. And, there is a 10-year guarantee! Yes, it costs more than many others; but, it's WORTH IT.

Does it make ironing a joy? No - I still hate ironing and a no ironing board will change that. But... it is a solidly built product and makes ironing slightly less annoying. The Good: - Collapses and expands easily without making that annoying metal-on-metal scraping noise. - The locking mechanism is solid and you can't inadvertently collapse it - Stays put and does't wobble easily - Nice thick ironing pad makes wrinkle removal easier than the paper thin covers that come on some cheap boards The Meh - Bigger than other ironing boards. This might be nice for curtains, dresses, etc but if you're just ironing shirts the size isn't needed and takes up more space in the closet. - Steam Iron Rest takes up space. Again, for some this may be a feature, but I've never found the rest to be particularly useful (I just set the iron upright on the board) - Expensive - but I guess you get what you pay for. The bottom line: Probably worth it if you have the extra cash lying around, but if it's going to cut into beer money stick with the beer.

I've been trying to find a decent ironing board in big box stores for months and couldn't find one in person that was well padded and wobble-free, so I decided to bite the bullet and try this one, although I was initially put off by the price tag. It's 50% more expensive than the most expensive ones I tried from a store, but 100% more useable. The other ones honestly did not feel safe to use. You could knock it over if you really wanted to but it's plenty sturdy for normal use, no worrisome wobbles or creaks. It also folds up and unfolds easily but not so easily that the pull-bar feels overly loose, although you should check below decks to ensure that the "tooth"-style latch is properly caught; occasionally it slips slightly past and rests on the upper part of the hook rather than snugly underneath it. It seems relatively stable even in that state (I ironed on it that way before I noticed it, with no ill effect), but I'm guessing it's not as safe. I also like how well welded the iron rest is, as the last board I tried had an iron rest so rickety that I was scared to use it with even a lightweight iron. The manufacturer also offers a ten year warranty. Overall, a quality item. If I had a larger laundry room, I probably would have gotten the larger version.
