Our original equipment step (just one level) gave us an 11" drop from the RV. Building codes don't seem to apply to RVs. Climbing in wasn't so bad but we were a little nervous that someone might slip coming out, so we looked for a better way. We have a Lippert chassis, so replacing the old one-step version with a Lippert two-step version seemed reasonable. Others have noted that there is a small gap (side to side) that needs to be filled with shims and that turned out to be the case. A few stainless washers used as shims on each side cured that problem. With RVs, I guess there is no One-size-fits-all. If we had mounted the steps as they came, ground clearance would have been a problem and we would have still had about a 9" drop from the RV. The side supports are pretty stout stuff, but I was able to cut out a 3 x 4" notch from each side with a Sawzall with a metal blade. It went really well and the result is a big improvement. Drop is now 7" and the steps are very sturdy. Another improvement is the ease of pulling the steps out. The new steps use a different design. Deploying the two is much easier than the original single step.

Product was a little tight fit for our 2014 wildwood xlite but my husband got the steps in the same place as the factory step. We had only 1 step & it was just too high for me. It took 10 days for amazon prime to get them to me which I had to complain about. These do not come with the bolts but we used the ones that came on a factory step.

These replaced a set of Flexco dual steps that bent where the curved slot for the top step slide is cut in the side. The Lippert I received doesn't have the same weakness and has a shorter rise per step, making the first step actually useful on our R-Pod 179.

Very sturdy I removed the old bolts. Two bolts matched exactly. I easily drilled the other two while the stairs were bolted in place. A 30 minute job.

Very nice addition to my travel trailer for sure! Feels secure and looks great! Highly recommend this one folks. Not a bad price either!

My wife was complaining that the original single step was too high so I bought this for her. This setup is much easier for her. There seems to be a little side to side sway, but I don’t know if that’s normal or not. It bolted up to the original mount that is on the frame.

Installation was quick and easy on my 2019 Aspen Trailer. Slip resistant. Met all of our expectations and then some. Would highly recommended.

It was a bit narrower then my original steps but still managed to install with original mount. Btw this doesn't come with any bolts.

fit perfectly and easy to install. I am a tiny girl and was able to install them myself on my toy hauler.

purchased this to replace single step into our rv, fit well, operates smooth and seems very sturdy. liked the radius edges.
