High Quality, High Level of Detail, Giant Map

This map is huge, laminated, and has a high level of detail ranging from ocean depth, city population, and topography (i.e. land surface shape) to color coded countries. In other words this map shows a lot more than simply geography, and did I mention it is huge? It's huge. These are the reasons I love it. It can get bends and wrinkles if you aren't careful with it but this is simply a result of lamination and material thickness. Highly recommend.

Excellent Value for the Money

I purchased this for an elementary school's annual International Night event -- they have other maps but they're smaller, badly worn, and out of date. We used transparent shipping tape to mount this map on a wall and then gave all the kids sticky note pointers for them to write their names on & place on the map as close to their birthplace as possible. Because the map is so large, almost 100 children from 19 countries were able to easily put their names on the map. This map is a lot sturdier than similar maps I'd seen (or those that the school owned) because it's well-laminated on both sides; we expect to be using this map for International Night for years to come. It's being stored rolled inside its cardboard shipping tube, and the only problem we encountered (aside from little kids needing help to reach the northern hemisphere!) was finding a shelf long enough to accommodate it. Several parents & staff mentioned that this was one of the best maps they had seen recently in terms of size, clarity, up-to-date borders & contry names, and physical strength of the materials; at least two families are likely to buy them for home or office use. I don't need another map like this right now -- but I won't hesitate to buy another of these if I do!

Enormous And Easy To Read!

I LOVE IT!! THIS THING IS HUGE AND COLORFUL. YOU CAN READ EVERY BIT OF IT. The only thing I would point out is the fact that this is 'Paper', and it is heavy. Heavy due to it's size. If you pin it up, use at least 3 pins across the top. Be careful when you are stretching it out, to even it out. I ripped the corner on both sides of the top. I just used a piece of clear tape, and looped it over the back. Then, I put the pins through the tape. If you are careful, you will not tear it. And, it is in fact glossy.

Great big beautiful map - outstanding !!!

First and foremost there is the physical medium itself: a good, sturdy, high-grade plastic - NO flimsy paper that tears to shreds !!! Next, the map is amazingly accurate - which is 'super hard' to accomplish on a flat map...the world is 'round' after all !! Then we have the beauty, the colors and last, but certainly not least, the 'Shear Immensity' of this map - WOW !!! I really love this map - it makes me feel like I'm part of this world after-all !!! Maybe if more people had a map like this hanging on their wall we might be a little more patient and understanding with one another - and also more compassionate for 'Our World' !!! TR

Excellent map for the price.

Excellent quality map. Having gone through a few large wall maps over the years, I can say this map is well worth the price. Looks good on the wall. I would suggest flattening the map for a while before hanging. I did not do so, but it still looks good.

Super Motivating

Love it, love it, love it....On my bedroom wall with push pins marking all the places I've been. Very motivating to look at and think about all the other places I want to go. Roommate is jealous. Great price. Very large. Get the laminated one at the least. Its only 5 bucks more and totally worth it.

Perfect

Beautiful map, for a great price. It is HUGE. The perfect addition to my home office wall.

Better than I anticipated

The map is clear, attractive, and large. It has more details than I assumed it would; granted, I didn't read much about its details prior to purchasing. I think things like the city size/comparison key are very useful and interesting. I also like keys that note the IDL, ocean depth points, highest peaks in a country or continent; notes of railways, disputed areas, and other boundary points. I feel more educated and aware as I look over this map and that is all I can have wanted.

Large map that doesn't break the bank!

Great map. We have it in our dining area and it is always being used. Everytime we sit for a meal we talk about different places on the map. Lots of questions and learning from the 9yr old. It's heavy... so simple tacks won't hold. My husband attached it to a piece of wood with hooks so it hangs from the hooks not the map itself. Large size easy to see everything. Great buy!
