Fit Dell N4110 perfectly. I followed the break-in instructions and have much better battery life than the original had when new.

NOT BAD!

(Review for an Inspirion 5110) Understand I'm giving this a 5 star based on price. The battery is excellent for the price. If you follow the instructions provided by the seller you will get about 2.5 hrs-3 hrs out of the battery which was better than the 5 year old battery I had. I'm please with the product and have no complaints. Also the battery hasn't over heated and the bottom of the laptop stays pretty cool.

Seems to work well for us

The battery for our Dell M5110 completely died. The issue is whether to buy a genuine Dell battery or a battery from a third party. After checking the price, there is no real issue except trying to find a third party battery that works. That is where this supplier comes into play. Admittedly, we randomly chose this supplier because this battery has a 4-plus star rating. However, the battery is quite affordable, it charges, and it seems to work. Now, we do need to use the battery longer term to see how well it holds up. After all, we used the original battery for several years and the original battery is kind of a bench mark. However, even if this battery lasts only a year, it will be worth every penny. Note that quite a few reviewers report issues with this battery. If we were to hazard a guess, it would be that this supplier has quality issues on occasion. Our suggestion is when the battery arrives, charge it, pull the plug and see how long the battery lasts and whether it decays steadily to full discharge, recharge it, and repeat a couple of times. The reason for doing the test quickly is to be able to return the battery before the last Amazon return date if it does not discharge and recharge properly. We tried this test shortly after receiving the battery. The battery lasted for more than 8 hours on the first charge in our Dell M5110 with intermittent usage. The discharge was steady without unexpected drops or cutoffs for the entire 8+ hours. Recharge after the discharge seemed normal. For us, this battery seems to be working well, so far. For the price of a Dell, we could easily buy five or six of these batteries, so it is worth it, to us, to take the chance on this battery. Enjoy!

The best do-it-yourself option for a bad battery. Low cost, easy instructions -- what's not to love?

My Dell Inspiron N5110 had a battery that wouldn't last more than about 10 minutes unplugged. I had been contemplating replacing the laptop, but after looking into the price, I thought it would be a good idea to see the cost of replacing the battery instead (I had actually thought I'd need to take it to a repair store to have it replaced). I ordered this replacement battery, hoping it would help increase the time I could use it unplugged. I have now used the battery for 6 weeks, and so far it has worked splendidly! I like that detailed instructions for use were included. This is a great battery for a really great price. I would recommend it.

My daughter's Dell battery died and I did quite a bit of research and gave this battery a try. We followed the directions on charging it fully three times and so far, it has been great. We did, however, need to buy a new cord for the computer as well, as they both seemed to go at the same time. Not sure if that was a fluke or if that always happens. As long as it worked and we didn't need to purchase a new computer!!

Finally!

Finally! A battery that fits my N5110. I absolutely recommend this battery for this laptop. A great fit. Wound it down to 7% like it said I should. So far so good. I'm getting a good 5 hours or so out of it on "Battery Saver" mode. Much less on High Performance, but then if I'm working, I don't really need it to be on High Performance. Despite my very old charger, it charges quickly and efficiently. I bought 2 battery replacements previous to this and thought I was doing something wrong when they didn't fit seamlessly. This one did fit seamlessly and it was like the scissors gliding through the wrapping paper at Christmas. Perfect. Is it a Dell replacement battery? No Does it show? Yes. Do I care? No, it cost $20. But it does the job adequately.

It fits!

My DELL Insp. N7110 battery has been dead for quite some time. I didn't want to shell out the money for a new one (on a 5 yr. old laptop), but didn't want to chance wasting money on a knock-off. Well, my battery started overheating and I got nervous that the whole thing would catch on fire, so I started researching. This one had pretty good reviews. My main concern was that it wouldn't fit. It fits! Now charging...The first time plugging in everything went fine. The next time it didn't charge at all. I almost gave it one less star for that, but I simply unplugged the cord and plugged back in and it started charging again. It's done this several times since then and unplugging and plugging back did the trick each time. This may be annoying for some, but my goal was simply to have a battery that fit and would continue the life of my 5 year old laptop. Also, I'm able to go cordless again for about 2 hours once it does charge. Obviously my dead battery had to be plugged in constantly. So if you are simply looking for a good deal and need a battery to fit your DELL N7110 (I can't speak of the other models.), then this should fit the bill.

Good battery.

Excellent battery. Charge holds for more than 4 hrs. Fits Dell laptop well. Read instructions on initial installation. After initial charge, battery has to be discharged almost completely and then fully charged before reuse. Do this 3 times for optimum performance.

I have installed the battery, charged it and then discharged it to 7%, as recommended. I will do this 2 more times. I am already sold on this battery. It fit perfect. Will update after I cycle it two more times. I already know it is as good as the original was new.

Quality OEM replacement

Needed a new battery for my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop. This battery was well priced and is working great. I will have to say that, no matter the seller, once you receive a new laptop battery, you should always do this first. Install it in the laptop, charge to 100% then, discharge to around 3-5% and immediately charge back to 100%. If you do this twice, you will condition the battery and should get years of reliable service. Failure to condition any battery will lead to any number of problems. I recommend this battery, it was well packaged, solidly constructed and performs flawlessly. you can not beat the quality for the price. You won't be disappointed.
