I have grown increasingly frustrated with the purchase of sweatshirts over the past several years. I like my sweatshirts roomy/blousy with the waistband having reasonable elasticity to hug the body. In recent years, more and more sweatshirts go straight down and have no elasticity at the waist to hug the body. They don't fit well and they are not comfortable for me. I ordered these Hanes shirts because they said they had some elasticity in the waistband. I was hoping for reasonable quality in the shirt, too. BOY DID I GET A GREAT SURPRISE! These shirts are good mid-weight sweatshirts that have a waistband that fits instead of looking like I'm wearing a fleece tent! These are really nice quality shirts. I am really happy with these shirts! Yippee!!!

We love it. I ordered 3 for my husband and I and we own like 5 of these already lol. They're very comfy and perfect for winter.

Fits a tad small and beware of cotton content as I think it’s different by color. Really like it though but it’s more mid-heavy weight - not the sub zero weight. Good for layering under a jacket on colder days if you’re in a colder climate and good for outside winter in California. I’ve lived in both and it won’t do for freezing but is great foroee temperate climates. My bf took mine last year and really liked it. For reference I’m about 145 lbs and slighter frame female and men’s small fits nicely.

Nice thick sweatshirt. To help others having issues with content, I found this on another website: Hanes - Ultimate Cotton Crewneck Sweatshirt - F260 9.7 oz., 90/10 cotton/polyester, 100% cotton face. Light Steel is 85/15 cotton/polyester. Charcoal Heather and Oxford Grey are 65/35 cotton polyester. Patented, low-pill, high-stitch density PrintPro®XP fleece. Spandex blend rib collar, cuffs and waistband. Coverstitched neckline and armholes.

I bought this sweat shirt for my adult son who has always been a high priced Champion brand fan. He lately uses them for work, but runs out of them during the week. He needs a couple more so I thought "why does he need a pricey logo shirt to get dirty at work. So, I went ahead and ordered this Hanes in large. It is every bit as high quality as the Champions he owns. It is heavy weight and dried beautifully right out of the dryer. You cannot beat the price for such a quality sweat shirt. Fits great and did not shrink or pill.

To get the shirt that fits you best really depends on your physique and how you like to wear your shirts. I am 6 ft tall & 250 lbs so I'm kinda portly, lol, so I like mine a little baggy. Typically I wear XXL but opted to go with a XL after reading all the comments. The shirt was 90% cotton and 10% polyester, so it shrunk A LOT after washing. It's still OK, but would like the fit better if I was thinner but I'm not, so I wish I would have went with the XXL like I normally do. I am very pleased with the quality of the shirt, and it is very comfortable!

These are great heavy duty sweatshirts. I currently have 6 of theses (in different colors) and they hold up very well in comparison to some of the cheaper ones that you buy at a store. I actually had to go back and check the date that I got the first ones (March 2018) and you would think that they were new. I wash mine in warm water, with tide, fabric softener with a little oxyclean toss in and then I let them dry on a rack.

Great sweatshirt. Thank goodness someone still realizes that all COTTON or mostly cotton (90%) is what people who know fabrics want. Color was perfect as was the fit and feel. Sorry that Amazon is making their own sweatshirts and they are 50/50 poly cotton... which sucks. And the fabric content is done by weight.....so a 50/50 is really more like 75% poly. YUK.

The XL seemed a little big but shrinkable a bit for a closer fit. This is a straight forward, old fashion sweat shirt with some extra fleece on the inside to make it a more substantial and a little warmer. Well stitched and I think I'll spend several years thoroughly wearing out this shirt and enjoying every comfortable minute.

There is nothing that I disliked, just a couple of comments. I knew I was pushing my luck when I ordered a medium. If you're debating about a medium or a large I'd go for the large. It's an attractive shirt and the material is really soft. The other thing is that for Hanes this is a heavy weight sweatshirt but if you need a really heavy one I'd look elsewhere. I will be ordering again but next time large:)
