Totally solved our crazy smelly problem!!!
So our washer was STINKING up our brand new house. It was smelling like sulfur...a heavy, horrible smell...but the clothes it washed did not smell bad. I was so confused. My husband filled the washer with the sprayer from the sink next to the washer with super hot water and added an entire gallon of bleach and let it sit for a full day. Then we drained it and let it dry out for a while. This did not work. He checked the drains, hoses, everything and they all smelled fine, but when we turned it on, the stench returned. So I bought this, thinking it wouldn't work because an entire gallon of bleach didn't work! But I followed the instructions to run the clean cycle (which I had also tried many times) with a tablet, and then run the tub-clean cycle up to three more times. I did this and at first it did smell a little bad the first cycle, but by the fourth and final cycle NO MORE SMELL!!!!!!!!!! I will use the tablets once per month religiously after this! I am a customer FOR LIFE!!!!!!

Does it's job
Hard to be affresh when it comes to keeping your appliances clean - washing machine, dishwasher, etc. I've had pretty good experience using their products. The thing is, you gotta keep up with it and be conscious of how you use your front load washer. I've had some moldy/disgusting smelling experiences with a front load washer and I found that my biggest mistake was closing the door after the load is done. You should actually leave the door open to let the inside of the washer dry out so it doesn't get moldy and smelly while using affresh every 1-2 months. If you can, deep clean your machine first by hand - around the door seal and stuff before you use affresh. This stuff is more of a maintenance, rather than a save-all for a machine that's already been neglected. If you clean your machine yourself first, leave your door open after your load is done to air dry and use this stuff on a regular basis - you'll have a very clean washing machine.

Convenient effective way to deal with front loader funk
I have an LG front loader that developed the most awful funky swampy smell that ended up in my towels and clothes if I didn't take them out immediately after the cycle ended. I understand that this is a common problem amongst all brands of front loaders. A friend recommended that I try Affresh and it seems to have really cleared up the problem. Previously, I had been keeping the smell at bay by running vinegar through the washer and regularly cleaning the rubber flange around the opening but it was a struggle. I also make a habit of keeping the door open between washings. II also find that using powder HE detergent results in less odor problems than powder.

Outstanding provided for cleaning your washing machine
I watched the video reviews of taking care of your frontloaded washing machine. It was universally stated that the front loading washing machines after a time need to be cleaned out because of the buildup of odors from constantly washing your clothes. This product in the tub cleaning cycle of your washing machine definitely keeps it clean and odor free. I only have to use it about every two months because I'm a single guy. My washing machine is new I have not experienced any odors at all. I use it as a preventative maintenance. It's about $10 a box for five tablets and five tablets jewel last just about a year with that every two months cycle use. To me that is a very good value for clean and fresh washing machine.

Affresh and clean
Wow! Even though I leave the door open when not in use and run cycles with bleach from time to time, my 15 year old Maytag Neptune front loader had developed an odor. A repairman told me about Affresh years ago and I wish I'd followed his advice earlier. I followed the instructions for machines that already have an odor and ran 3 cycles back to back with Affresh. Absolutely no more odor. I followed with an extra plain water rinse in case there was any remaining residue. I'm impressed.

This product saved my washer.
I had my front loader washer for about 10 years and have never had an issue with it smelly like mold/mildew. All of a sudden the washer stunk and nothing worked and the smell permeated throughout the house. I tried at different times bleach tablets, vinegar, vinegar/baking soda, essential oils, pine sol, taking everything apart and scrubbing everything. Took out filter and drained old water out. After a few days the smell would return and the smell was so bad I was about to buy a new washer since nothing worked. I even stopped using liquid washing detergent and fabric softener, but this didn't help either. Tried this product as a last resort. Put 1 tablet in 3x on the sanitary cycle. Amazingly the smell was gone and after a couple of months there still has not been any issues of smelling like mold/mildew. I will continue to use the product to kept the smell away. Very pleased with this purchase.

works great!
Our water is hard hard hard and leaves a brown residue (yuk) inside the washer, dishwasher and toilet tanks (well water in farm country). I tried other brands that loosened the yuk and then left the yuk on the next load of laundry. This actually worked to clean our washer and wash away the yuk! I did run it twice the first time I used it, but I am really impressed and there is no harsh smell like with the Tide brand and another brand I can't remember the name of. We'll use this again and again! I put it on my Amazon Subscribe and Save so I'll remember!

Does what it says.
We have had problems in the past with the stinky front loader washer syndrome and my solution was to run a dishwasher gel tab through the washer regularly and that seemed to do the job. These are specially made for washers and while more expensive, they do seem to preclude the odor. In fact, our new washer has a light that illuminates telling us to run the Affresh cycle every 30 loads. Kind of overkill in my opinion (unless you don't do a lot of wash or allow wet towels and clothes to lay in the washer before washing) but doing it regularly should help prevent the stinky washer issue. Be aware that on some washers the Affresh cycle is very long so do it when you don't need the washer for a couple of hours. And, you cannot wash clothes at the same time; the Affresh must be run alone.

Got rid of the smell!
This worked excellent for my top load - older style washer. There was a distinct smell coming from the washer, and it was very unpleasant. I used these, as directed, and the smell was gone! Several weeks later, and the smell is still gone. Will continue to use these when needed!!

This product is great and was recommended by my machine maker-Whirlpool.
After 3 months of use, I cleaned my washing machine which is a front loader. I had heard horror stories of the bad smell that could come from these machines, making your clothes smell terrible. Even though after 3 months use, I didn’t have that problem, I wanted to make sure I never had it. So it worked great. Many viewers said it made the machine smell bad after cleaning it but that was not the case for me. It had a pleasant smell. Most people know to keep the door open after taking clothes out and not let clothes sit in washer. But a tip given me from the installer of my machine, was to also pull out the detergent drawer as well and leave it open so the water can dry out of it. So far, and I’ve had my new machine 4 months, I have had no smell whatsoever. I plan to use this product about every 3 months, unless a smell develops, then I will use it immediately.
