Very accurate! I had no idea my other hygrometers in the house were so... WRONG! I mean some literally read 15% less than they should have. I will not name these other brands, but they cannot be recalibrated, so they are trash. I ended up ordering more after I bought one of this type and the analog, and I will be buying more in the future as needed! Also: they use the same battery as your CMOS battery or BIOS battery your computer runs on. This makes them very easy to find and cheap to buy replacement batteries for. Same goes for the analog. I recommend buying a Boveda calibration kit if you are OCD like I am, but these hygrometers DO come CALIBRATED out of the box! :). So unless you get your hygrometer wet, you shouldn't have to calibrate.I have been using them for weeks and haven't seen anything but an accurate reading.

Accurate out of the box

I initially bought one of these and did my own calibration test and it seemed fine so I have since added two more. After I bought the first one, I got a Boveda one step calibration kit, primarily to test other hygrometers. But I put all three of these in the kit at the same time. After 48 hours, 2 of them read 75% (that is the test parameter) and the other read 74, so I re-calibrated it. Very satisfied with these. A bit pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Bought 2 for the humidors. No calibration needed on either one, tested with the Boveda calibration pack. Bonus is I can use the small batteries that are used with some of my other small electronics. Caliber IV Digital Hygrometer is the Most Accurate

This hygrometer is awesome. You don't need another one, as most don't work properly. This one is extremely accurate, and noticeably sensitive to any changes in the room humidity. Say I open the door of the room where the device is located, it immediately senses the change of the humidity and reports it immediately. When I move it to another room, it instantly measures the new humidity. It can be used successfully as a room hygrometer in addition to humidors. It is an excellent addition to a dehumidifier, as they usually have the cheap devices installed. If you breathe against it, it will immediately register a change in the humidity. Really accurate. No gimmick product, very simple to use. You'll be happy with it the moment you get it out of the box. You just pull a plastic piece that prevents the battery from providing charge and the product is ready to use just like that. Awesome product!

This sucker works

I love it when a product does exactly what it says. I'm a huge cigar fan and have a humidor at home that has gone thru scores of hygrometers. I needed one that was reliable and didn't require much effort to calibrate. As others have mentioned, you don't need to do anything once you take it out of the package - just set it wherever and within an hour or so it'll provide the correct reading for the environment. Very pleased.

Very accurate (but let it warm-up to room temp first before using)

When I received this it was freezing cold outside and I didn't let it get to room temp. before activating; The temp. readings were way-off and the display was flashing in & out...thought it was getting shipped back, but after it warmed up some more and the readings were more in line as expected. After two months it is reading the RH perfectly but is sometimes 1-2 F low on temp. (using calibrated lab test equipment) I keep it in a tupperdor with some Cuban sticks to see when I need to replace the Boveda RH packs used.

Accurate

Seems to be the only accurate hygrometer on Amazon...and I've sampled quite a few. This one was only 1% off in the Boveda tests. And it has the ability to set it to just show +/- an amount from its calibration, so I just set it to show +1 and now it's 100% accurate 100% of the time. I own about 10 hygrometers at this point, and this one and a relatively large home one I bought from walgreens are the only ones I trust anymore.

Perfectly calibrated out of the box

After reading some other reviews, I was hesitant to purchase this. I'm happy that I did, however, as this has been incredible! I gave up on a traditional humidor a while back, and have been using a tuperador with Boveda packs. This thing has been incredibly accurate and is easy to read at a glance. Would definitely recommend!

Good product

Reads humidity and temperature accurate. Highly recommend over analog hygrometers that usually come standard in most humidors. The unit i received was spot on right out of the box I tested it with a 75% boveda pack. I just leave it sit on my shelf in my humidor. The temp and humidity on the hydrometer are lower because I opened the door and put it on the top shelf to get the picture.

No calibration required and solid for over a month now.

Mine arrived properly calibrated; this is one of 4 digital and 2 analog hygrometers I use. I have used calibration kits on all of them when setting them up. All of the digital hygrometers have consistently been within 0.1% of each other when next to each other as I have have established and stocked a new cabinet humidor over the last few weeks.
