14 Month Old is OBSESSED!
Purchased as a Christmas gift for our 14 month old. Feel like buying toys at this stage is similar to throwing jello at a wall. Frantically buying a bunch to see what "sticks". She LOVES these pop blocs! Has been obsessed with them ever since Christmas morning. Perfect size for her little hands to pull apart and put back together. She loves teething on them. The blocs are bright and colorful and very well made. She is now associating each of these animals to animals in books when we read to her. The brand K's Kids also manufactures a collection of Wild Animals and Dogs and Cats pop blocs. I really wish Melissa & Doug/Amazon offered them. I would have already purchased! K's Kids offer them on their international website but shipping is more than I would like to spend. However, these blocs are such a hit I am seriously considering just dealing with high shipping cost and purchasing anyway. These Pop Blocs are that magical!

Cute Toy, Smells Like Baby Powder, Can Get Rid of Scent...
Ok, I love these! I got these for my son to start working on the 3D puzzles concept with him, he's 4, and has a lot going on, so he's older typically then you'd get this toy for, and my use for it is probably not typical. First off, what other reviewers have noted about a fragrance is correct, which is something to be aware of if your child is sensitive to smells. It smells like baby powder, it's got the same scent all of the baby soaps and shampoos and lotions I've ever used have smelled like. Personally, it's not my favorite scent, but amazingly, it's not one my son has ever had a problem with, and he is sensitive to smells. So I am guessing this is a deliberate thing that the manufacturer is doing to appeal to parents shopping for baby items, given the very recognizable smell. We've been playing with this for a few days and it doesn't seem to dissipate, but if the fragrance bothers you...if you lightly touch it with citrus juice on your hand, it will cancel out the smell, and that cancelling effect does seem to last, at least it has on our rooster, which I did this to and not the others. For me, what I've noticed is that some of the animal halves go together easier than others, the rooster takes the most hand strength to do. And I actually really like that feature, because for my boy- who is actually playing with these already and I totally want to squeal with delight because I've got a stack of Christmas presents for him he still won't touch- anyways, for him because he struggles some with his fine motor, it is nice having the varying degree of difficulty because he needs some that feel easy so he's encouraged to try the one that's more challenging. I don't know if that was an intentional product feature or not, but I really like it. So these are already a big hit in our house, both with him and with me.

My kid loves them!
My daughter loves these. She's 11 months old and don't have the hand strength to pull them apart consistently, but she seems to understand what's up. She carries around the back half of the sheep everywhere. It's both weird and adorable. The plastic seems nice and smooth and they don't have a weird smell.

Toddlers and older kids both LOVE these
I got these for my 14 month old for Christmas and he loves them so much. He is always trying mess with his older brothers Legos ans these pull apart and easy put back together animals are great for tiny curious hands to build dexterity! Also my 5 yr old and 6 yr old nephew thought it was hilarious to put a pig butt on a horse head, they were calling it a "porse" or cow with a chicken head was a "chow". It was fun playing with everyone together laughing at the silly animal names. I also love that they so easy to wash off I can toss them in the tub as well for bath time! Love these!

Excelllent Melissa & Doug Quality animals
These Pop Blocs Farm Animals are a great addition to our collection of character animals that is mostly made up of Little People figurines. These are slightly larger than the Little People brand and the quality is slightly better (see pic). The animals are easy for my 18 month old to pull apart; he does still have some frustration with putting them back together sometimes. I think as he gets older we will have fun making different animal combinations.

They are a great quality and size for him
I bought these for my 9 month old who likes to pull things apart. They are a great quality and size for him. He enjoys playing and chewing them. I think these will be fun for a long time.

A MUST HAVE
I wish I could rate these 10 stars! I also wish I had found them sooner. Got them when my oldest son was 16 months and he still plays with them every day now at two years. My youngest son also is playing with them at five months. They’re durable and fun to mix and match. Loves to make the animal noises and great for pretend play! Easy to clean with soap and water.

Worth money from cleanliness perspective
Compared to the much cheaper plastic animals that we bought at a big-box store, these animals are far superior. CHEAP ANIMALS: The cheaper animals are very soft and have small holes in their faces where air goes in and out when baby squeezes them. So, when baby mouths the animals, her saliva gets sucked into the small holes. I have squeezed them and seen her saliva come out. Cleaning them is a hassle, in that you have to make sure the vinegar water gets into the animals, sloshes around, and then gets completely out of the animals, and then you have to make sure they dry. Who has the time?! MELISSA AND DOUGH ANIMALS: Each part does have a hole, but it is placed inside an indentation on the bottom side (i.e. the feet) of each piece. So, baby is not able to put her mouth directly over the hole. Also, the M&D animals don't squeeze much, and thus they do not create the reverse suction that could draw in baby saliva. The M&D animals also have the added benefit of popping apart and together again. Baby figured out how to do that at 13 months of age and enjoys it. I ONLY WISH they made a set of jungle animals too.

Pop! Pop! Adorable!
These are a great size for pudgy little one year old hands! My guy loves to pop them apart and put them back together (with the help of mommy or daddy as he's not that coordinated yet!). Our friends' toddlers like them, too! A 2-year old enjoys putting them in a barn we have and lining them up. A 4-year old niece thinks it's silly to put the cow's head with the pig's backside and giggles and giggles. Overall, they appeal to many ages and I know our guy will be able to play with them for many years to come!

Not exactly sure the point but LO loves them
I haven't figured out why they come apart but LO loves to play with them. They are hard and do not have any give. They almost felt like they had a powder on them when I got them but that is just the texture. LO will have fun taking them apart and putting them together when she is older! **Please help and select if you thought this was helpful!!
