This thing is absolutely amazing, it’s so cheap yet soooo useful. With my first baby I had to boil or steam everything on the hob in a pain, then drain it, then food process it, then put in a bowl to serve. This thing does all of that so easily and quickly, and with small portions too so you don’t end up with tons of leftovers. So easy and clever. The steaming lid can be used as a drainer etc. the bowl also has grooves to make the mashing easier. Love it so much! I would’ve paid 3 times the amount for it!

Very handy tool at meal time. I can toss in some pre-chopped frozen veggies, pour water from the kettle over them, and just let them steam for a bit. I use the masher for everything - adult avocado toast to baby smooshed bananas - great tool.

YES!! I LOVE when I make a good purchase. It's like winning at life! I wasn't sure I needed a special feeding bowl for baby because at 7 months, we are still feeding him and not quite ready for his own bowl to self-feed from. However, the mashing design of this bowl appealed to me, especially because we will be traveling cross-country soon and eating on the go will be a little trickier. I love the little steaming tray and the lid. What brilliance! The bowl is a nice size -- not too big and not too small. The plastic is nice and heavy and feels like a quality product. The masher is very study and feels nice in the hand. Its design allows me to mash very easily and quickly with a mere few passes. I feel so much better about traveling with the little guy now that I can easily steam food for him in a hotel room. Oh, and I also received the blue and green bowl which is the one I was hoping for! Thank you Nuby for a great product! Hack: use the steaming tray as a strainer when washing fruit or veggies.

How could you go wrong... It steams and mashes plus has the lid all in one. You can use a normal blender or food processor to make baby food. You don't need a baby bullet. This little guy is nice for on the go and easily mashes bananas avocado, green beans, apples, sweet potato ect. Plus can use as your baby grows and eats more chunky foods

Life saver if you are frequently out. My daughter doesn't like typical pureed baby foods, and is constantly just eating whatever we eat so having this makes it easy to grind up whatever to the consistency you want. The lid makes it also very easy to save leftovers. Would recommend to every household!

We use this to steam foods before turning them into baby food. This thing saves us so much time!! Yes we have to do multiple sessions of steaming but it is worth it for us when the stove is being used for other things.

I am very happy with this bowl. I've used it many times and it is holding up very well, even with multiple passes through the microwave and dishwasher. It's a little bulky with the masher, it's too bad there isn't a way to store the masher inside, but I still find it very useful. It mashed bananas like a champ. I haven't been able to get harder stuff like apples to cook down enough in the microwave to mash very easily. I might be doing something wrong though. One thing I've noticed is that if you put too much water in it to steam in the microwave, the water will spill out the top, along with whatever food juice you're cooking. I got blueberry juice all over the place. So definitely keep an eye on whatever you're cooking so it doesn't spill over!

My life is easier when it comes to making fresh baby food thanks to this. I did not want to buy the electric processor or a bullet which will occupy a lot of space. Plus I didn't want to spoil my baby by giving her only pureed food as she is 8mo old. And I'm glad I got this. I just peel & cut fruits/veggies and put them in the bowl with 1 Oz water and microwave for a few minutes (3 for berries, 4 for fruits and 5 to 6 for veggies) and mash them with the left over water as I don't want to throw that water away. It's very easy to mash any fruit/veggie to any desired consistency (couldn't mash beets though) . And my baby is getting used to the new texture not much trouble there too. Also easy to clean, use the bottle brush to clean the masher and bowl. Overall if mine broke I'd buy the same one again without a second thought.

One of my favorite baby products. I know others have said that you can get the same effect by using a fork and bowl, but as someone who has tried using a fork to effectively mash peas for my little guy, I can definitively say that this is a million times easier and takes way less time. It's super handy to be able to have one item for steaming, mashing, mixing and feeding. Also, the amount of food that fits in the bowl (pre-mashed) is perfect for about a 4 oz serving. I've used it for peas, green beans, potatoes (sweet and regular), carrots, broccoli, edamame, bananas, apples, frozen and non-frozen berries, oatmeal, cooked rice, chicken (chopped up a little first), black bean, the list goes on and on. Our little guy has already gotten a bunch of variety to his diet because this perfectly portions out the food and is so easy to use. He's tried enough foods (so we know he doesn't have an allergic reaction) that I can just make one meal for the whole family and mash up his portion rather than preparing his meal separately from everyone else. I also like the control I have over determining how much texture to give to his food. I definitely agree with other reviewed that the ridged part of the bowl is particularly effective at breaking down food to smaller pieces. I've also found that adding a little bit of (hot) water to the mixture sometimes helps break down the food more, and also make some tougher foods a softer consistency so it's easy for our guy (~8 mos) to eat. Purees might be time consuming to get to that really thin consistency unless you're already starting with a soft food like a banana or avocado. We just bought those at the store for the maybe first 2-3 weeks when he was starting solids. I re-use the 4 oz glass jars to store the food I make for him so he can eat it at daycare, so it's worked out pretty well.

Wonderful product! I got the pink one and its exactly as pictured. Great just to mash when she was smaller but we get the most use by far out of it as a steamer now! Its so easy and quick to use and a great way to make sure she gets fruit and/or veggies added in with each meal! Love that its dishwasher safe! May have to get another of these to add into the rotation!
