At the bottom is my original, one-star review; it was based exclusively on the fan's "low air volume". I'm now substantially upgrading my review due to the following. 1. World-class, top-tier Customer Support. Due to the review, they contacted me immediately, and we had extensive and substantial email exchanges, during which they offered every reasonable kind of help. I copied my final email to Support below. 2. I've become convinced the fan is competitive with other current fans in its price range in terms of air-flow and that my expectations were too high. 3. Other than air-flow, there are a lot of positive things to say about the fan: Good, heavy construction; good documentation; extra screws, washers, etc. just in case; operation is extremely smooth with no balancing required. Here's my final email to Support: "Thanks Nick. I agree with all your conclusions below and don’t want to invest more time in experimental swaps or returns. The fan is a disappointment, but our exchange has convinced me it’s probably comparable with other fans in its price range. However, your customer support is top-tier in a world where even merely satisfactory customer support is becoming more and more rare. Consequently, I’ll enthusiastically upgrade my review. Thanks again, Bill" Below is my original review. I’m very disappointed. Including extra hardware, I invested approximately $110 in this ceiling fan. But much more importantly, I invested over 6 hours of my valuable time installing it. The fan works, but it moves very little air; its highest speed is barely up to medium on my other ceiling fans. This is the most anemic ceiling fan I’ve owned, and it’s of no value to me. So, after my very considerable investment, I have nothing to show except a depleted wallet and lack of things I could otherwise have accomplished with my time!

...but that's a good thing. We have a large, low outside covered patio which will be warm during the summer. After re-doing some shoddy wiring, we added a junction box for a ceiling fan. We just happened to stumble upon this one and decided to give it a shot. The installation was relatively easy (though I have yet to find a ceiling fan that can be done by 1 person easily) and it functions well. It seems to move a lot of air, but being winter, it will be too early to tell how much relief it will bring in the Florida summers.

Installed this to replace aging fan on front porch. While it might be good value for the money it's tedious to install. Blades have to be bolted onto brackets. The bolts and lock washers are small . Then the blade assembly has to be installed on the housing when it's hanging in place. Would be easier if I worked for cirque du soleil....your trying to hold the blade assembly while putting a rubber silencer in between while you start the bolt. I used super glue to hold that in place. A magnetic Phillips head screwdriver would be a lifesaver ....I need two more fans....so....like you I'm reading reviews looking for a better product......this is an update one my original review...I stand by everything I said earlier ...BUT...I decided to order two more..,....because of being familiar with the first the next two were a walk in the park to install. Several things about this fan stand out. One they are super quiet. Two..the housing on top of the motor is solid....no place for mud daubers and other critters....so....yes I recommend this product is I was asked if this could be flush mounted. The answer is no ...you have to use at least the short rod provided. To flush mount you would need to bolt the housing to the ceiling plate ...there is no provision for this. Hanging down 3" o n 8' ceiling still gives plenty of clearance. Hope this helps

I was looking for a good priced outdoor rated fan and found it. The first one I bought was stated as being white but actually is off-white 🤷♂️ I exchanged it for the bronze look because wanted to stay with the same fan due to its build quality. Great fan. It is now mounted outside in our porch area.

Great fan! We ordered two for our screened in back porch to replace two really old fans and were amazed at the breeze these fans created. One fan was broken and wouldn't work once we got it installed,so that was frustrating, but Amazon replaced quickly and the new one was fine. The low profile is great and we're very happy with them.

So far so good. Its super quiet but puts off lots of air flow. So glad i picked this one for our living room and porches.

Simple, outdoor ceiling fan. Blades are plastic so no sagging due to moisture. Everything is also insulated to keep moisture out of the internals. Installed it in a few minutes on our covered porch. It is safe from any direct moisture there, but I'd think it would even be ok in slightly more exposed areas (still covered though).

Excellent fan, with much higher CFM rating than similarly priced fans at big box stores. I used this fan on a screened porch to replace a smaller fan with drooping blades and peeling paint, that apparently was not for humid, outdoor use. I used the short downrod included with the kit, which provided 11.5 inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades (the switch housing was 0.5 inches lower). Instructions were straight-forward, and no problems were encountered during the installation. The motor is heavy-duty, very quiet, and has a label rating it at 70 watts, though the energy rating on the box says 56.4 watts. The 5070 CFM airflow is strong enough for outdoor use in hot weather, with no wobble in the fan. If the weather is cooler, the medium or low speeds would probably be comfortable enough. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this Honeywell International branded product, made in China (aren't most of them now?). Hong Kong Electric Appliance Manufacturing Co. Ltd. includes a limited lifetime warranty on this fan.

light and easy to install. Directions were clear and easy to understand. would recommend. If using outdoors, use a longer down rod to maximize the small blade size.

Bought this for our nursery, easy to install, and circulates the air evenly. Good value, looks good, and does its job.
