I'm from an asian household and been genetically trained to always boil your drinking water (regardless if its filtered or not). That being said.... The other reasons why I must have always on 24/7 accessible boiling pipping hot water is - I drink lots of tea (yes another asian stereotype... sue me) - I am a huge consumer of ramen noodles and hate to wait for the kettle to boil out I owned my previous Zojirushi for over 8 years, and i replaced it for 1 reason. The interior of the kettle started to turn orange.. Not because it rusted, but because I stupidily put in UN Filtered water, and the water in my home obviously has a fair amount of metals in it :(. So new boiler and brita water only! Their rice cookers also are the bomb but you've gotta love rice as much as I do to pay the $$ for one of their rice cookers :)

We did a full kitchen renovation this summer and decided that our 15 yr old water dispenser that we bought when stationed in Japan was time to be replaced. We love the brand and we know the quality so we decided to go with a larger capacity and a nice sleek color to match. We are so glad we stayed with this brand, though it takes a few pitchers of water to fill it (filtered water only) it's well worth the time it takes to do so. YOU will not be disappointed with this purchase.

If your family drink alot of tea and just hot water. This is a great buy. I own prior models but this is the best so far. I waited and wanted to test this before writing my review to see how long it will hold up. At my house this is constantly being used and so far no issue. Commercial it is.

We've had a Zojirushi water boiler for nearly 15 years and it's been the single most heavily used appliance in our kitchen. It finally "died" when I cleaned it and got water into the controls, so I ordered this "commercial" unit a a replacement. (The "dead" unit came back to life and is now headed for the school break room.) This 5-liter boiler is actually a bit simpler than the one it replaced, lacking a digital temp display. We went for the Japanese-built model after reading reviews of the cheaper Chinese-built versions. Looking forward to another 15-20 years of service.

I can't imagine my cubicle without this. I use it daily for tea (white, green and oolong) and making Starbucks VIA Instant coffee. But you could definitely use it to make other hot foods like soup. I bought a Zojirushi after buying their rice cooker back in 2005. And like that rice cooker, I've had no problems. It always works and doesn't making any beeping noises.

I bought 2 of these because I was giving a Mother-Daughter Tea and would need enough tea (I was offering 3 teas) for up to 48 people. The instructions are very clear and the machine worked beautifully. I could not have done this tea event without the Zojirushi water boilers. The lovely part is I can use them for a tea for 12 too. I highly recommend these boilers.

I've always LOVED my Zojirushi products. While visiting my sister, I was able to use their water boiler. (they've had theirs for about 6 years) I had to have one for myself. Mine came a couple days ago and we love it. It keeps the water hot and ready. My husband drinks hot tea and I drink coffee. This is perfect for us.

We bought this for home due to its large capacity. It turns out it was over kill - but I think it gives some insurance that it won't run out of water for some time. Except initial heating, this one doesn't give any sound or steam out. One of best water boiler available.

I visited a friend a few months ago who had the Zojirushi CD-LCC50 Instant Hot Water Dispenser. I quickly fell in love with it since I am a tea and coffee drinker. However I heard a new model was coming out that was commercial grade. I researched for weeks trying to get it, but to no avail ... finally I ordered this one and my only regret is that I wasted several weeks before actually ordering. It works great, allowing me to have the right temps for tea or coffee. No more waiting for tea kettle any longer which seems to rust up and corrode often. It was a big investment, but my husband is very glad that we got it. He loves making me a special cappuccino coffee drink every morning, and this has made life a little easier for him, and he loves pushing the button. : )

Before I have a white one same brand. I have been used many years I very love this brand product. This brand is very very good!
