Works fine for my Dell 5579 with the small lock slot

Works fine for my Dell 5579 with the small lock slot. This is the correct lock and fits well. I even confirmed with Dell support to confirm that the lock would work.

It's complicated

This is a costly mechanism that helps protect my laptop from the stresses and warping that would otherwise occur with other lock design. What can I say? This is a monopoly. I had to bite the bullet and try it myself.
