Just as expected
Ordered the 6 nano moss balls and they are a fantastic size. I have a 5.5 gallon beta tank that already has a large moss ball but these were just to cute to pass up. Karl the beta loves them too, caught him pushing them around playing with them in a way that he never tries to do with the large one.

It's a plant! It's a pet!
One of the best gifts I got this Christmas! (Traded for it in a "Bad Santa" gift exchange!) Arrived in great shape, came with plenty of (simple!) care instructions, and are now living contentedly on our kitchen island. We enjoy giving them a swish now and then to mimic the waves of their native lake habitat. Thanks!

Really need nothing but water & light to thrive
These guys are so great, hardy and happy. Arrived in a little packet full of nothing but their own wrung-out water, squashed almost flat, and they bounced back happy as can be as soon as they'd been saturated with water. They've been happy ever since, I've had them about a month. They handled Alaska's tap water just fine, & have great color despite not having any liquid fertilizer "food" put in the water.

Perfect for a Betta Tank!
Love them! They are 6 very small balls that fit in every sized small betta tank/bowl. They keep the tank/bowl clean. They do grow in size but pretty slowly. My betta loves to dig in the rocks and when he can move a ball it makes him feel tough. Ha! You will want to rinse them with water before putting in your tank/bowl as it will turn the water green if you don't.

I'm very happy! My first Marimo ball purchase.
This was my very first experience with ordering a Marimo ball. The ball (and smaller, bonus ball) came in a sealed package with moisture in it, and directions attached. The balls were a bit flattened in the package, but with some gentle care they were able to take better shape and I'll give them some more time in the water and give them the regular care they need to regain and retain the round shape. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and care taken in how they were packed, and I'm very happy with how well they appear to be doing in the water now.

Meet my new friend, The Hulk and Bruce Banner!
I wanted something easy to care for that was green for my goldfish aquarium and I find moss balls were cute enough. It's definitely worth the price of getting in comparison to going to Petsmart who was selling about the same price but you only get one big green one! At least you get a little guy if you order from here. As seen in the photo, you get two: one big one and one small one. The small one is about the size of a US dime and the big one is little bigger than a US half-dollar. It came in a small bag packaged in a box to protect it from getting squished and when I took the big one out, the texture reminded me of a big fuzzy pom pom from the craft store. The small one was pretty green and spherical but the big one was slightly lighter shade of green and lumped up like cookie dough ready for the oven and had a bald spot sort (this was as expected from transition). I just ran it under water, rolled it around and it looked more ball-like. Following the instructions on the bag, you're supposed to wash them and squeeze them before putting them in their new home. The little one sunk to the bottom but the big one floated. After a while I realized I probably didn't squeeze it completely so once I squeezed it, a bubble popped out and it sunk to the bottom. It's been 2 days now and the big one is looking fluffy and the bald spot is going away and the little one is looking good as well. I have the big one in an aquarium with two goldfish who tend to push it around at times and they seem to like it. The little one is in a jar on my desk and is growing with some other little ones I bought from the same vender too. If I decide I want to get more, I'll be sure to get it from this same place. I think I will have to name the big green one The Hulk. The little one can be Bruce Banner.

Love them
I love Marimo Moss balls! They and some character to the fish tank and help control algae. I had bought one at a local fish store. When I saw these on Amazon, I couldn't resist purchasing them. They arrived a bit flat due to other items in the package. I just rinsed them under cool water and rolled them in my hands. They fluffed back up. I like mine to stay near the bottom of the tank so I squeezed them before putting them in the tank. I had no trouble with them sinking. There was a bit of brown on them when they came but it's no longer noticeable. My Ghost Shrimp love them. They like to carry the smaller ball all over the tanks and sit on the larger ball, eating on it. I recommend these. The two together cost less than what I payed for one locally. They really do add some interest to your aquarium.

Thrilled
Oh wow. I saw the picture with the person's hand holding the 2 Marimo moss balls and figured "meh...it'll probably be smaller than that". It was not smaller, it was the size shown and described. This is a big moss ball. I am also happy that he has a little friend in his home now. (I decided it was a he). Both balls are lush and very green with no signs of ill wear or travel duress. They arrived in a sealed plastic bag that felt moist on the inside. Both balls were damp when they arrived, meaning they were packaged with plenty of water for the trip (2 day shipping, FYI). Both were in a ball'ish form, not a perfect sphere but close enough, so they weren't squished at all. I followed the directions and placed them into the water, gently squeezing air out of them rolling them back into a more perfect shape. Air came out, they sunk to the bottom, and now they sit. I am very happy with this purchase and am thrilled with what I received. I attached pictures, which may not be great...but they are something. I forgot to take pictures before I put them in the water, but I think you'll get the idea.

Perfect and cute!
My Marimo arrived perfectly round and verdant green! Flattened of course because of travel but that was fixed in a second running it under water. It floats after you squeeze it out, but if you squeeze it underwater it will sink immediately. I'm not sure if you can with this particular brand but some people have gotten infestations of pest snails from Marimo before, but mine is completely snail free! You could always quarantine it before placing into a tank, which I would recommend for any new live addition to the tank. I look forward to seeing my fish's reactions to them, especially my ghost shrimp! I bought it especially for them after all! EDIT: I now have them in my tank while it's cycling. The ones I bought are on the right side. I also received a larger one from my cousin that's nearly 15 years old! It is on the left.

Exactly as described. 6 healthy little marimo balls 😊
I recieved 6 nano marimo moss balls. All healthy. They arrived in a small condiment cup with lid inside a zip lock bag. Some of the water had leaked into the bag, but luckily did not leak into the box with the 2 electronic products I ordered. The instructions said to rinse them before adding them to your tank, but I watched a video suggesting that you rinse them, then soak them in distilled/conditioned water for 30 min. I added 2 plants the first day, and after being happy with their overall quality and appearance, I added the other 4 the next day. I only have a 3.5 gallon beta bowl for now, and they all fit nicely in the bottom around the decorations. My Bette has definitely checked them out, and looked to take a bite of one. He hasn't pushed any around yet. Over all, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
