Works great. Towed a semi tractor out of a rut. Would recommend.

These straps are always rated much higher than they should be. This one would be good for pulling a vehicle that is less than 3000 pounds. It mentions in the information: 5,000Lb Recommended Vehicle Weight - Safety Rating to accomodate for jerking, stuck vehicle, andle of tow, friction, etc. When a cable is jerked the load the cable sees is extremely high, this will not hold up to that kind of abuse. It would be good for getting a side by side or UTV recovered. It might work for a full size vehicle but i would stand clear of it when in tension.

I have not yet used it yet but upon inspection they appear to be well made and to have good strong galvanized hooks with wide opening. With the hook retainer open the hooks fit over a 7/8 inch round bar. With the hook retainer closed they will only fit over bout .5 inch round bar. One hook will pass through the other so the strap can be hooked in a loop around objects. Two or more straps can be daisy chained with hook to hook connection to make a very longer tow strap. Or straps may be doubled or tripled to get two or three times greater load capacity.

As to "light weight": It is easy enough for a woman to carry and hitch to whatever needs pulling; but it will definitely pull "heavy weights". My husband has one just like it that he has used 50 years, and it has become worn though still strong...used very much in pulling heavy equipment with tractors, etc. on the farm.....These are great to have any place you need to pull something. Plan to give these to the sons to keep in their car trunks

I bought this because my 2 wheel drive truck got stuck in my yard ( we have lots of rain in KY lately) and I had to have my neighbor come over and use a chain to get me out. I went and bought this while i was waiting on for him to come home. The day after receiving it, a different neighbor got his truck and his sons truck stuck in his yard. i was able to extract both with my jeep in no time.

I know this product is for towing a car, but I was looking for something very sturdy and good quality to secure bike rack. This seem to do the job much better then any dedicated bike rack straps. Any review I read about bike rack straps was full of quality issues. So if this strap is able to handle the car it will for sure handle bike rack load. Also the price is a bargain.

We use these for ATV recovery. It's fairly often that we get one stuck, so we always keep a couple of these around to pull one out. They work perfect. We are always sure to knock the majority of the mud off, and roll them back up. This has kept them damage free and they show no signs of wear. These may possibly pull out a car or pickup, but I would be very careful. I cannot vouch for this usage, as I have not tried it. It says 4.5 tons, and most half-ton pickups weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 6,000 pounds. I would still be very careful.

Used to pull a golf cart out of the mud. The rear wheels were stuck about 8 to 10 inches deep. Took my 10hp Case tractor lawn mower, put it in first, and with ease just pulled the golf cart out with this sturdy strong 30 foot strap. Before all this I called a towing company, and they told me it would cost $200.00. WOW ! what a savings. buy this Tow Strap Rope and save money. Unlike others that say this strap gets dirty, the strap was in the mud when I was pulling the golf cart, all you have to do is wash it off and it looks like new again. The hooks on each end were thick and strong steel, and the spring loaded clasps worked with ease. Over all, I rate this a five star must have. Keep one in your house and one in your car.

I have not had a chance to use this tow straps, right? You will only use it in emergencies and so far no emergencies. It does look and feel strong and reasonably heavy duty. I would probably not pull a tractor out of the mud with this but for the price I think it should work very well on light to medium size trucks and cars. The webbing has a very strong feel to it and the hooks are fastened very well. Let's hope when it comes time to use this that I can say the same thing but really a good investment for those just in case moments.

I put this tow strap in the back of my Jeep Commander "just in case." I kinda forgot about it until a few weeks ago when a car got stuck during a blizzard close to where I parked my Jeep. I used this tow strap to pull the car out - no problem. Granted, it wasn't a huge heavy car stuck deep in sticky mud, but the tow strap got the job done and the owner of the car was happy!
