before i get to the actual product, i want to mention that amazon did a terrible job of packaging this 25lb product. the box had one piece of tape on it and was broke open on arrival. the manufacturer packaging however was not damaged and their packaging of the product is excellent. now to my initial impressions of the cyberpower brg1500avrlcd. setup is a breeze. make sure to plug the supplied usb cable from the brg1500 to your computer and go to the cyberpower website to download the monitoring software. the build quality is excellent for a product with all these features at this price point. although i have not yet killed power to the unit to test the duration of the extended run time after a power failure, the software is showing 74 minutes(based on the current load). my guess is that in reality i might get 15 to 20 minutes to finish what i am doing or just let the unit save my work and shut itself down. there are lots of connections for your equipment although the spacing of most of the outlets are too close together if you need to plug those large plug connectors from certain electronic devices. be aware that only 6 of the 12 connections support battery back up. the other 6 just support power filtering and regulation. the display is useful and easy to read even from a distance. for under $160usd this purchase is a no brainer if you need a ups/ power conditioner.

I'm a pretty big fan of CyberPower products. They are well made, include more functionality than pretty much anything else in it's class, and are really competitively priced. I have some of their pure sine wave products that work great and cost way less than competing brands. This particular item has a lotta bang for your buck. I dare you to find a 1500VA/900 watt system with as many features for this price! Really. I dare you! The unit is pretty heavy due to the batteries (which are user replaceable). My experience with at least 2 other CyberPower products is that the batteries will last approximately 4-6 years with daily, non-stop use. The front facing LCD screen has plenty of useful information, and you have the option of leaving the screen on at all times, shutting it completely off, or having it light up only for a few seconds after pushing a button. About my only complaint with this product is the PowerPanel monitoring software, which seems kind of unpolished and clunky. The software works via the included serial to USB cable. All in all, a great value and great product.

This is a beauty! I bought one a few years ago and was towards the end of the warranty. The batteries did die and WITHOUT ANY HASSLE the tech support sent me new batteries which I've replaced. This time around I actually hooked up the POWERPANEL personal with a simple USB printer cable and it's SOO nice to know how much power it's drawing. I actually moved everything from my recording studio over this time around and I seem I'm still less than 1/2 capacity with 2 keyboards, Neumann KM120 speakers, 3 Dell monitors, a big computer and a few lights. VERY COOL. Don't buy ANYTHING but a CyberPower supply. And to the whiner that gave them 1 star due to no USB cable. Booohoo! This is for you for only $5 here in Bezosland: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-Cable-Male/dp/B00NH11KIK/

Powerful enough to carry my HP Proliant server, a laptop, a 24" monitor, a WAP, a small router, and a host of other small devices. The LCD display is really handy, and it has power to spare. Carried the whole rig for nearly an hour before I got scared and shut everything down....just in time for the power to come back on. I was concerned about the "off" brand, as I've always used APC, but I read the reviews, and this one showed pretty high. I will give it a full 5-star rating because it can carry all of my home-based office hardware with room to spare. I didn't connect my laser printer to the battery, as that wouldn't be fair--it kills everything it touches. But the server is happy, the laptop is happy, and all of my other stuff just clicks along. It will carry a good-sized server and peripherals for up to an hour (my experience), so that's exceptional for a UPS. Most are expected to die off in 20-30 minutes.

We live in south Florida and work from home. I bought this because we have a season where thunderstorms are prolific and occasionally the electric company can't seem to deliver a constant source of power and I have to reset all my appliances about twice a month. Needless to say, I have quite a bit of money invested into my computers, monitors and peripherals - it seems reckless to continue to operate them without a solid power supply. The deciding factor came from years of years of using power strips to protect my equipment and finally discovered a fatal flaw in their design. I lost a TV that was plugged into a power strip, the TV was turned off, the dangerous voltage that slipped past the power strip, past the cable box and through the HDMI cable, where it fried my HDMI ports - nothing else was damaged and the of course the power strip never tripped. It could have been a faulty power strip. I spoke to someone in the "know", who explained to me how the stray voltage was able to creep in and not trip the strip. Now I unplug my TV during a storm, replaced the power strip for the entertainment center and purchased two CyberPower UPS's for my computer and monitors with a plan to buy a third to protect my Entertainment Center later. This UPS has a programmable over and under-voltage settings and is able to self-adjust to keep safe power going to your equipment. It has software that can tell you what your UPS is doing in case it's located in a place that is difficult to read the display and it keeps track of and reports over and under-voltage conditions and if you've lost power.

It's a UPS - it provides power when there is none...but what I really like about it, is that it doesn't cycle on and off when I switch over to our non-invester generator. The one I replaced was much more finicky and would not do well on the dirty power that my generator provides.

Remarkable unit. I've been a CyberPower fan for some time. Have them for my home and recording studio. So when it came time to keep power at the Church the only question was "How big does it need to be?" This unit is perfect. We've unplugged (haven't had any outages since we got it) it for over 30 minutes with computer, monitor, 32 channel digital mixer, and 5 wireless mic receivers plugged in. No problems whatsoever. This should work perfectly for those little 2 second power outs that make the big loud KA-THUMP's in the PA. (Bought a smaller unit for the power amplifier behind the platform).

A recent power outage that resulted in my server staying up for only about a minute made it apparent that it was time to replace my 5 year old CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS in the computer closet. I've been very happy with that model so I chose just to go with its updated sibling, the CyberPower BRG1000AVRLCD. The BGR1000AVRLCD is a 1000VA/600W uninteruptible power supply with, 10 outlets (5 battery/5 surge). It has one more surge outlet than the CP1000AVRLCD and as a result is slightly taller, but has a nicer, clearer, black and white LCD status screen. Like the older version, the outlet spacing doesn't allow for power bricks, so you'll need to invest in some short extension cables. The outlets are nicely shaded/color-coded to make it easier to figure out which side is battery-powered. My favorite feature by far is the mute option, which lets you turn off all beeps and alerts.

A lot of data was lost during a lightning storm. This happened because I was too cheap to purchase an UPS. Not anymore, this UPS has already saved my system during a few other power killing storms. The 12 outlets make it easy to plug in a computer and accessories with room to spare. On the battery, it has plenty of power to run 2 LCD displays, a beast of a PC, router and cable modem for about 60 minutes; plenty of time to finish a show and shutdown.

I have had CyberPower UPS units since they first came out. My first one had a lifetime warranty, and had a problem after 7 years of faithful use. I contacted CyberPower for warranty service and they replaced the unit. IN the mean time, I had been using the "most popular major brand", and it seems like the newer the model, the shorter the lifespan. I do not own any models of that brand. I have replaced them all with CyberPower units. I have not had to replace a battery or have any of the UPS units go bad, so I am well pleased. I like the display that shows incoming line voltage, estimated run time on the battery, battery charge percentage, output voltage and frequency, and the output load in watts and volt amperes. It also shows the output watts and va's in percentage.
