Husqvarna 208cc 24-in Two-Stage is a beast!
I just got 2 feet of fluffy snow. The Husqvarna 208cc 24-in Two-Stage is a beast! threw the snow at least 20'! Highly recommend this snow blower!

AGE new
I've read several very damning comment and was ready to cancel my order. However I asked the man who repairs snowblowers and keep my 20 year old running what he thought of the comments. He owns one (1yr), his uncle owns one (3yr) and the business that he also works at uses one to clear the loading dock at the company that he is employed he has sold them and others for years. This is what I learned: The grape man was countered with having taken in a paint can left by the garage that exploded and was expelled with no damage to his personal machine. My personal experience is that it cleans a blacktop driveway like a vacuum cleaner. There is hardly a trace of snow left from a pass. I would expect that if you don't have a blacktop you should expect that you will need to adjust the clearance so that it does not shuck the stone off the surface. The belt throwers. He told me that when they first came out about 5 years ago they did have a belt problem. He adjusted his uncles the first time after three years. I have had experience with my 20 year old and have adjusted belts. I will keep an eye on it but after 5 uses I don't see the problem that was reported. Problem fixed by Husqvarna. Going to fast. Maybe another upgrade. Mine has a throttle control around the choke control. It came in rabbit (fast throttle) but can be adjusted to a turtles pace. Hand grip heaters. Not a big deal, seems to add a level of heat. I think a bigger deal is the locking thrower grip; which means I did not need to constantly drip it and loose circulation in that hand. My only negative is the delivery. It came with the box ripped open. I did not insist upon a complete inspection but could not see any damage. When I completely assembled it (which was a breeze) I found one of the plastic handles for the control panel support rail was broken.

Powerful machine
This is one strong snowblower. Works well in anything from 3" to 12" of heavy snow. Very strong, took a bit to get used to the power in turns. Starts easily, cleans snow nicely. Heated handles and light is a nice option.

Exceptional quality, best blower I've owned
Best machine yet ! What a blower ! 100% guaranteed this is the blower you want. I have ran mine 2x already and have 0 issues in snow up to 9" so far. I really don't like running in more than average to keep the machines life. This thing throws snow up to 25' away. Great design, great controls, great quality product. I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has about this unit you can't go wrong buying quality.

... lot to compare it to but It does a great job. This is my third season with this ...
This is my first snowblower I’ve owned so I don’t have a lot to compare it to but It does a great job. This is my third season with this blower and I do about 15 driveways every time it snows. I had to replace the Auger belt which I shredded up because of a lot of use and my hand warmers never worked, but other than that I can’t complan. Great machine 🤙🏼

My neighbors got lazy.
I was leery about ordering something this big through Amazon but was not disappointed. It worked great for the long winter we had. The only problem I had was that my garage is in a dead end alley and when my neighbors saw that I got this snowblower they got lazy. It did make clearing the alley a breeze.

A high-quality machine
[Update 11/13/14: Michigan weather was kind enough to provide me with an early opportunity to test this machine out today: 6" of wet snow. I mean wet, as in not too far from slush. I actually was a bit concerned because lets be real, a 208cc engine isn't exactly a monster and wet snow is a pretty extreme test. Test passed! Threw the slop 4' to 12'. Lighter snow should easily be thrown 3 times that far. Easy to pull start, easy to operate. Surprisingly easy to maneuver and turn, and in fact I rarely even felt the need to use the reverse gear. Console control to change the chute direction was quite convenient. Headlights illuminated things very nicely. Made the whole driveway-clearing job easy and I was quite impressed.] I just purchased and received a Husqvarna ST224 (961930096) snow thrower this fall and have a few observations to report. I will update this review with more information after I've had a chance to actually use it this winter. This machine is designed for typical residential driveways and typical residential snow conditions. I am quite certain it will handle the onslaught of Michigan winters upon my 125-foot driveway. I was sold on this snow thrower for three reasons: * The Husqvarna name. They have a long-time solid reputation of building high-quality equipment and even though this machine is toward the lower end of their line I believe it will be a solid performer. * This is a new model which incorporates significant improvements. Husqvarna just re-vamped their entire snow blower line in 2014, making improvements specifically based upon customer and dealer feedback on what was working and what wasn't. Improvements include big things like a re-designed transmission, and little things like a quieter muffler and adjustable handle bars. They didn't just add features they made real improvements that will provide real benefit-- and that sounds good to me. * The price. I see that the price has gone up since my purchase, but I felt one really would be hard pressed to find a better machine at a better price. It seemed to hit the sweet-spot of quality and performance vs. price. A few comments on the shipping and assembly of the snow thrower: * It was shipped by truck from an Amazon warehouse to a local freight company, and from there delivered to my house by a small semi (small cab and half-length trailer). It was tight but they were able to back into my driveway. * To my astonishment the truck had no way to unload the large 250-pound crate. No lift truck, no lift, not even a ramp. The driver and I had to slide the crate on its side off the back of the truck down to the driveway. Make sure someone fairly strong and without any physical issues such as a bad back is there to help unload this thing. * Unboxing and assembling the machine was a bit time-consuming but not difficult at all. It helped to have a sharp utility knife to cut open the box (a lot of cutting was actually required to cut the box away from the pallet at the bottom) and a wire-cutter to cut several large wire-ties. A multi-wrench was provided but I found it easier to use my socket set. * A large "quick start" sheet was provided that had no words but surprisingly clear and helpful diagrams on how to assemble the machine. When I was done I noticed that there are a couple pages of assembly instructions in the operator's manual that would have been worth referring to as well. * The bulk of assembly is just lifting and bolting into place the handle bars and hooking up the discharge chute. I enjoyed doing this and found it actually helpful to get to know the machine on an up-close and personal basis. The chute ended up having a surprising amount of play in it, but I have to believe that is by design. Everything on this machine looks to be extremely well designed and thought-out. * The manual says that the tires are over-inflated for shipment and that they need to be deflated to proper pressure before use. * Because the majority of my driveway is gravel, and there are uneven cracks in the cement areas, I will be replacing the skid plates with ARMORskids. [Update 11/13/14: I installed ones with 2.5" bolt spacing and they fit perfectly--and look good too. Got to test them out while snow throwing today and they work perfectly-- glided right over every bump and dip in the gravel and every crack in the sidewalk without a hitch.] Once assembled, I must say that this thing is truly one sweet-looking machine. If it performs half as well as it looks I am in for a treat.

Excellent value, recommend this unit.
I bought this snowblower after extensively researching snowblowers for about a month. At this price point, you simply cannot find another 24-inch snowblower, with all metal housing, with hand warmers, with a headlight, and with electric start. Furthermore, it's a Husqvarna. I have purchased numerous Husqvarna power tools over the years and have been satisfied with all of them. The snowblower arrives in a huge shipping crate. There is some minor assembly required and the OEM provides a crappy wrench. You'd be better off with your own tools. After assembling and adding fuel (the OEM ships this with motor oil already in the engine), this snowblower started on the first pull. I have been able to use this snowblower twice now. First time was on about 6 inches of very heavy, wet snow. It handled it very well. The second was on about 4 inches of light, powdery snow. Both times, I was amazed that this snowblower got all the way down to the concrete on my driveway. I thought for sure it would leave a fine layer of snow that would eventually turn to ice - but it didn't. I would buy this again and have recommended this to a friend, who then purchased the same one.

Two Years Ago I Bought This
I have a concrete driveway 130 feet long with a parking pad for 4 or 5 cars to the side of it. After using this blower I found it to take around an hour to clear it. This worked well with everything. Five inches of really wet slushy ice it was working kinda hard so I should have done it earlier before it all turned to slush but it was ok. Up to 10 inches of fluffier snow was no trouble. Easy to use. The electric start is fantastic. Propane for no worries about fuel storage and maintenance. Grippy tires and lot's of gear choices made life easy. Oh and Amazon Prime free delivery was quick and easy, they loaded it off and put in my garage. Assembly was not complicated, directions were clear. Cut off the packing, fold up the handles and fasten them on. Very basic stuff.

Really Makes the Snow Fly!
Our old snowblower hit the skids, right when we needed it the most. We read the reviews, and decided to order this one. I'm shocked how far the show blows out of this chute! It was like night and day compared to our old one. It starts up easily, even in 20 below zero weather, and does a fantastic job. Delivery was much quicker than expected. My husband is a big fan of Husqvarna products. This snowblower did not disappoint!
