This is a really cool toy, I got it for my 3 month old, but she's not quite ready for it due to the size and weight. The head is pretty hard, but I also have a 4 year old so I've been through the whole baby thing before. This would be great for a 4 month old or a teething child because its very sturdy, has a lot of surfaces good for chewing, the bottom part with the holes is a soft silicone (I think) that is easy to squish and grab. This toy is about the size of a softball, and I could see a child as old as 14 months (if not older) really enjoying this toy.

It’s so cute I’m glad I got the bee it’s “wings” are handles so my 6 month old can easy grab on to it . She loved it right away . The bottom is soft and squishy but the head is plastic so more hard so just something to watch out for.

When I saw the reviews for this i was unclear on how a hunk of plastic that rattles could possibly entertain a baby. I was wrong. I was overthinking. I bought this when my daughter was 2 months old and 5 months later she is STILL obsessed with it. It's one of her favorite toys, she shakes it, she chews it, she stares at it lovingly. Don't try to analyze the mindset of an infant, just buy the thing and pat yourself on the back for bringing joy to a child. (bonus points, it's super cute and it's soft so i don't destroy my feet when i inevitably step on it in the middle of the night)

This has consistently been one of my daughter's most favorite toys. She's 8 months old now, but she's been interested in it since she was about 3 months old. Initially I clipped this little hedgehog onto my baby bouncer using these links Bright Starts Lots of Links Accessory Toy and my daughter would play with it while it hung down and she was in the bouncer. Now that she's older she can hold it in her hands and play with it that way. I think it's easy for a baby to hold because it's soft and flexible on the bottom (with all the holes). The top has interesting textures and seems to be fun to chew on. My daughter also likes the two beads on the front that slide back and forth.

This owl was purchased as a gift for my sisters baby shower. The handles give the baby/toddler something to hold onto as he/she shakes the toy the rattle noise is actually a good sound, not annoying like other rattles. The shape is great for moving toddlers to crawl after and easy to grab any part of the owls' flexible design. Definitely a great sensory toy.

Bought this for my two month old son. While he's still a little young to really grasp and shake it himself, he really enjoys looking at the bright colors of the hedgehog and hearing the beads and the rattle inside clack. I can see this being great when he starts teething and when he begins really grabbing toys and engaging in active play, as there's many different textures and materials in the toy. His year old cousin enjoys playing with it as much as our son does, so I can see many months of enjoyment yet to come!

This is one of my son's favorites toys. When we first gave it to him he got all cute and big eyed and crawled right for it. Definitely a keeper. Only complaint is that it's a bit hard to clean when your baby is chewing all over the bottom part. You can't get water up on top so you kind of just have to dunk the bottom and try to wipe around on it while keeping the top away from the water. A minor complaint and surely not enough to detract from the awesomeness of this toy.

I bought this along with the Owl Phone as a baby shower gift. Both Mom and Baby love it! She said it's a great toy for the car and she keeps them in the diaper bag all the time. Really cute!

I bought the hedgehog and my baby loved it since ~3 months old. However, like another reviewer said, it is best used by a baby who is a little older and has more hand control so they don't bop themselves in the head accidentally. Now that he is a bit older, he loves it! It is very easy to grasp and the hard/soft surfaces are interesting to him. I keep it in the diaper bag and he plays with it during taxi rides - keeps him busy!

New grandson loves it. He can easily grab it and hold onto it through the little holes in the body. I'd recommend it to anyone who has a 4-8 month old . I'm also buying the owl rattle toy for another new grandbaby.
