We just built our new home and haven't had the opportunity to set up a new security system yet. I ordered these as temporary deterrents and placed them on every side of our home along with ADT security signs in front and back. These look real and were very easy to place with outdoor adhesive tape. I did not put batteries in the units as they look plenty authentic without a blinking light. If I were to see them walking up to the house, I would not question if they were real or not. We live in a nice and safe area, however, with all of the new construction going up, there have been many thefts out of the new builds currently under construction. Anything to deter a thief will make me more comfortable!

These are amazing! I bought these to replace another "dummy" camera we had mounted in our driveway and to put one on our front porch and the other two in the yard. Our neighbors had some trouble and actually came over and asked if they could look at our video footage from our new "cameras" to see if it showed anything. I stammered around for a few seconds before telling them that we just got a new computer (true) and I didn't sync the computer up to the security system so it wasn't working yet. Don't know what I'll say next time because we live in an increasingly bad neighborhood and I'm sure there will be other incidents. Love these and recommended them to my son.

These bad boys look real if you use them correctly Forget using batteries because real domes don't have a flashing red light Face the fake camera lens towards the house so you can't see it Real domes are tinted and you don't see the inside lens. Install them like this and you can't tell the're fake. Mix them in with real ones or just use all fake

Very nice cameras. I added one to my moms house because during Xmas they stole some of her laser lights. So now I paired this with a real camera for added protection. The fake one I added a cord to it to make it more visible from the street. Looks super real to me and will definitely confuse those thieves.

These are working well so far. I am using them along with some "Property Under Video Surveillance" signs, and 2 motion sensor lights. My garage was getting broken into about twice a year (only smaller items/tools were takes each time). The are visible from the street and the blinking light adds plenty of "authenticity" to them. Going on 9 months, and I have not had to replace any batteries yet, even after a very cold Michigan winter. I made a template out of some copy paper and used it to position the 2 mounting screws properly. I have them mounted under the eves to keep them out of most of the "weather".

If they can fool the police, I believe they can fool the criminals. One week after we installed the dummy dome cameras there was incident that caused the police to knock on our door asking to see our security camera footage. I had to tell him they were fake. There were 11 cars that had their back windows shot out with a BB gun. We will never know if the 24 hour security monitoring sign and the dummy dome cameras were the reason why they passed ours by, but I think these dummy cameras are well worth the price. I highly recommend them!

Do they look like real cameras? Yes. Do they deter criminals? Who knows. I installed mine with good double stick tape (didn't want to drill holes). I would highly recommend not putting batteries in for the LED lights. I don't think there's a similar functioning camera on the market with bright red LED's. The LED's on these just make them scream fake. Don't use them. That said, they're still a replica and a good value.

I have a summer condo that has been left empty for years. I am always afraid of a break in. I put these up and there is no way of knowing they are fake. The sticker makes them even more real. Since I'm not there and won't know when I'll return I didn't put in the batteries but if you can change them even better. I only needed two so I gave the other two to my niece. This is a great addition to a home exterior.

You guys. I felt like it was my duty to write this review. I’m a single girl living alone and I am always obsessively worried about intruders. I can’t afford those super expensive cameras and alarms so I got these in the mean time as a deterrant and put it above my front door. I have to say, it looks so real, the little red light has been blinking away for months now and I even had my HOA come tell me I hadn’t taken permission before installing outdoor cameras and I had to show them it’s fake. Bottom line, if you don’t have home security, I totally recommended putting these up to scare away the creeps.

My downstairs neighbor is a busy body nosey old woman who HAD a habit of opening my mailbox. I weighed the alternative of buying a locking mailbox (expensive) versus just trying this dummy fake camera first. I made a bit of a show of mounting the camera, and then let Miss Busy Body Nosey Pants know that there was a motion-activated camera that would record anybody who came within a few feet of my mailbox. The look on her face: PRICELESS. Since mounting this product, I've received every sales circular, catalog, and all the other pieces of mail I thought were curiously missing from my box. WELL DONE... saved me tons of money over the locking mailbox I was going to get. AND, this may deter others from trying anything while I'm either at work or out of town.
