Works well, good construction quality
I ordered these tools to be able to build my own battery cables. The cable cutters are well made, and easily cut through 6 AWG wire on my Honda Accord. The crimpers are almost identical to the Greenlee brand I use at work. They work exactly the same way and I was able to crimp new terminal lugs on the ends of my battery cables. I sealed them with some sealant filled heat shrink tube I ordered from Amazon at the same time. I give 5 stars as the product is sturdy and should stand up to making a full set of cables for another project when that time comes. The price was right too, and you get more than your money's worth on this one.

Crimper review...
Solid cable crimper good weight and easily adjusted for different lugs a little press and spin the wheel the correct type and size lug, The Set of cable cutters are worth what i paid for the two pieces together? Great Quality for this price, no doubt about it, The only and only draw back is that they didn't come with a nice cheap plastic box to keep them in because they are that nice you'd put them away to keep them cherry, that nice. Hope this helps someone, I work with 6v-24v systems in rental equipment have to make cables, saves a tonne of money and we use to use a hammer smash the little tool method and its ok but need sledge-o to smash. Now going to use it to help build powerwall...Get One before they find out how much NAPA sells the cheapest ones, Ha go check out how much these cost! Hope this will help...

With this being a "Made in China" product I crossed ...
With this being a "Made in China" product I crossed my fingers when ordering. What a surprise when I opened the package. Both cutter and crimper exceeded my expectations. I am using it to re-construct a 12V power system in a travel trailer, crimping a bunch of connectors on #4 AWG wire. Has worked flawlessly and I firmly believe it would hold up to to "tradesman use" as well. Appearance, feel, and operation was a lot more "premium" than what I expected for the price.

Great Quality and Best of all...PRICE! I've always wanted this tool!
I've ALWAYS wanted a tool that does this but never willing to pay the big bucks. On occassion (when I work on a car stereo system) I need to crimp a lug on a 4 gauge wire...so I go on a wild goose chase looking for someone with a crimper. Someone even said "just do it old-school and smack the lug with a hammer on the floor". No thanks, I ain't Fred Flinstone. Well, that wild goose chase is over! It's really nice that you can adjust the head to find the size that's right. Easy crimping, I even did it with one arm and pressed it againt my body. And this purchase came with a cutter that cut the wire like butter. Very rarely am I THIS HAPPY about a purchase on Amazon. Great quality, I'll definitely purchase again as gifts.

This did a spectacular job crimping two 12ga solid copper wires in a 10-18 copper sleeve using the 6mm slot.
I made a sample crimp, and it's still solid after several days of testing. I haven't tried putting the test crimp in a vice and pulling with pliers, but it will take that level of force to pull the wires apart. It's a lot more durable than the crimps the pro's left in the junction box. The plier sized ratcheting crimper did a good job, but two shoulders put alot more oomph onto the crimp. I made changes in a junction box with stubbed steel sleeved 12ga solid copper ground wires with a pigtail. I only needed two crimps, but they are critical. I did not have enough free hands to hold two wires and a sleeve together for a two handed crimper, and had to use a ratcheting hand crimper to start the crimp. Then partially collapse the sleeve until wings form on the sides, and then rotate the jaws 90 degrees and mash the wings flat back into the crimp. I considered purchasing the specialty sleeve crimping tool, and would have bought it if this was my trade, but with only two crimps I wanted something that could be useful on the next unrelated project. Thank you to the seller for answering my question as to whether it could do this crimp. It actually can. Now we know. Photo: Crimp with ratcheting crimper used to set the pieces. Nice tight crimps in battery cables
I got this to crimp some 1 Ga battery cables and it worked great using the 35mm die. The product description says up to 1 Ga, but I think it will crimp 1/0 just fine using the 50mm die. Here's what I did for a test of the crimp: The die is fairly narrow, so I made two side-by-side crimps on the terminal. Then I cut the terminal in half to verify compaction of the strands and it looked nice and tight inside. Then cut the terminal off of the end of the cable, leaving about 1/2" inch of wire to try pulling strands out of the terminal. I couldn't pull any strands out of the terminal, so I peeled away the bundle of strands to get to the middle strands and tried pulling individual strands out of the middle of the bundle. The strands broke before pulling out of the bundle. So, I am very happy about the crimps this thing makes.

Works with 1/0 gauge ring terminals from Temco
Used on temco 1/0 gauge ring terminals. Works great and can't beat the price.

Absolutely works
I used this to crimp new lugs onto my car battery cables to install new "mil-spec" style terminals. The crimper is big and heavy and does the job. I really like how the dies swivel around and click into place. There's nothing loose or sloppy about this tool. The cable cutter tool also works great - went through the heavy gauge cables like butter. The inner-most cutting edge is now notched, so I doubt they'll last forever, but how often do I cut really big cables? If you do this kind of work day in and day out, you should probably buy (much) more expensive professional tools. But this set is definitely worth the nominal expense for occasional home use! Note that the picture currently shows a selection of lugs. These do NOT come with the set. I wasn't disappointed, but I had wondered and figured it was worth mentioning.

Awesome for battery cables
I've used this to crimp battery terminals on 4 awg wire and this worked perfectly. It took some tinkering to find the right setting, but it's a solid crimp. I bought to make battery cables for my RV battery/solar setup and it's already paid for itself and I have complete faith in my connections. I'll be using it for several other wire gauges as well. I also was wondering if I needed longer handles to get the right crimp pressure, but given how soft copper is, this works perfectly.

these work great!
We had this very set in a truck shop I worked in and we used them to crimp 2/0 battery cables all the time. No need to spend $200+ on a name, these work great!
