This is a fantastic bass. I been checking this series out since they first came out in 2008. Being a bass snob I wouldn't give it, or any Fender bass, serious consideration before. But I finally gave in and ordered it. The fit and finish far exceed the Fender USA and MIM models. And it sounds just as good. It's a good price. It's on par with the CIJ and MIJ Fenders of the past. Why spend 4-5 times as much for a USA one which IMHO is highly overrated and suffers in quality. To put my opinion in perspective, my other bass is a German Warwick NT Thumb Bass and my amp is a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout. I've also owned a lot of the USA Music Man basses. The hype is for real on this one. If you want Fender go Classic Vibe. But change out the strings to LaBella flats.

Many moons ago I had an American Standard P-Bass that I modified with a maple Jazz Neck and for 23 years we both traveled the world until someone decided they needed it more than I. This is a nearly perfect replacement at a much better price point.

I recommend this guitar for every resaon you can think of.

I have been playing electric bass since 1966. I have owned dozens of basses.I cannot believe the playabilty of this Bass. It ranks among one o f the best I have ever owned. I highly recommend it. Thank Fender/Squier.

Awesome bass guitar for the money!

This is an all around good bass. Under $400 you get high quality finish ( paint, laquer, neck finish, and frets feel amazing). The hardware is decent although I replaced the stock pup with a overwound Seymour duncan with large pole prices so I can down tune without any tone loss. The stock pup sounds great but I have to down tune occasionally. The tuners are pretty good, stays in tune and don't feel cheap. The bridge is awesome. Nice and heavy with brass sadles. After I set it up, it plays so damn good. You can really set the action low like a Jackson. If you want a sweet retro bass, this is it. 1951 fender introduced this baby as the first electric bass guitar. It is still one of the music industries top basses. Drop in a Seymour of fender pup and put on some high quality strings and you can't loose.

Beautiful bass. I've always been a fan of the telecaster bass by Fender but was worried the quality wouldn't be there with this. I was wrong. I should have bought this a long time ago. It sounds about as good as my old Fender American P Bass. Highly recommended.

Best kept secret for a beautiful great playing great sounding bass . The quality is there . I bought the 50's classic vibe P bass and put some la Bella low tension flats on it . It's my main player now . For under $400 you can't go wrong .
