Ingenious product to avoid pain medications
As a Pharmacist , I've see first hand how pain medications affect a person and therefore when I had back and sciatic problems , I turned to natural means. I didn't want to mask the problem with drugs but try and correct the underlying problem. I researched different techniques including massage and stretching and came across a discussion on trigger points. I also picked up a book called Trigger point therapy workbook, and it mentioned the Thera cane . Having nothing to lose, except maybe the $29.95 for the Thera cane, I decided to try it. What an ingenious device! I should preface this by advising you to read about trigger points first and the cautions such as keeping devices like the Thera cane away from the back of the knee , femoral artery and other veins and arteries . You can use the Thera Cane to put direct pressure on the trigger point and hold on it OR press and release the trigger point. For me the Thera cane worked fantastically giving me about 6 hours of relief . I've been using it for a few days now and can see the difference. A definite buy! I purchased the Blue Thera cane and the strength of the cane is perfect, not to hard not to soft. REMEMBER, read up on trigger points first and DON'T overdo it

Recommended by my cousin in the medical field
Recommended by my cousin in the medical field. Thera Cane has saved me from suffering so many times. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get over the initial pain from the pressure on the tight muscle you will get used to it and you can massage the tightness and knots right out of your muscles. I keep it handy all the time so I don't have to pay hundreds of dollars to go to a massage therapist for deep tissue massage. This is a must have for anyone who sits at work all day or does labor intensive jobs. IT is weird looking but so perfectly designed to reach those "odd" spots on back and shoulders.

10 Stars!
OHHH YEAH! This cane is amazing for getting knots out of your back. I love that you don't have to count on someone to rub your back, get the right spot and rub hard enough. I can rub those spots out easily with this cane. Since I got this can I rub my stress spots more often and actually prevents those knots from coming. I absolutely love this cane and want to buy one for my office as well. 5 STARS!

I love this thing
If you like your friends, don’t ask them to rub a knot out of your back. You’ll soon find out they are either total wimps or don’t actually like you enough put in the effort to help you. If you want to continue to believe you have strong, true friends, buy the Thera-Cane. You get to put EXACTLY the right amount of pressure, EXACTLY where you want it. Have a knot in your back? You don’t need friends. Thera Cane is your friend. And the internet. The internet is also your friend. I never know how terrible everyone I know is at giving massages until I found this thing. I didn’t know that with just ten minutes with this cane and you can find relief from a knot thats been bothering you for days. By letting them borrow my Thera Cane, I’ve convinced all of the people I used to call friends to get one of these. They think I’m an even better friend than I was before for helping them out. But really I just don’t want to hang out with those wimpy, fair-weather friends any more. Let them solve their own problems. Just get it.

Versatility is amazing - the more you use, the more you discover
I decided to write a review for Thera Cane finally. I've owned this amazing tool for already almost two years and I've been amazed how much versatile this magic wand can be if you're determined to maximize the use of it. I don't have any serious bad pains of frozen shoulder or sciatica unlike many people who encountered this product initially in search of remedy, but I use it everyday to improve my flexibility and range of motion since I've had knots all over my body that inhibit the progress. I first learned about the product from the book "Trigger Point Therapy," which by the way is also a great book and already my bible. The instruction manual shows 15 or so basic ways of using Thera Cane, for neck, upper/mid/lower back, hamstrings and calf etc, and that's the most typical and effective ways of using it, I guess, but if you keep using it, you will discover much much more creative ways of using it on your own. While working at my desk, I sometimes sit on the stick in a way that it gives nice pressure to adductor muscles, to shin muscles, or to the attachment of quad muscles. You can also massage pect muscles, shoulders, back of the arm pit areas, etc. by simply propping on it in a certain way. And this morning, I again discovered a great way of massaging/stretching subscapularis, teres major and pect major at the same time without any efforts. This is really an amazing tool. That said, I still occasionally go to a massage therapist when the muscles tightness have accumulated and I cannot release some tightness sufficiently on my own. I admit the professional hands do a wonder to the spots that I cannot do myself. However, for maintaining the muscles' general health on a day to day basis, this tool is really great, and I carry around everywhere.

I suffer from multi-level spine arthritis, and have back spasms quite frequently. My physical therapist recommended this recently after I had an unrelenting spasm in my mid-back....I was acting like a bear with an itch...rubbing along door edges to get relief. This does the trick, and is able to massage right in the middle of my shoulderblades. The rounded edges are firm but help to break up the muscle spasms quite well. I also have neck spasms and the short "knobs" work well for this. The "arms" and "legs" are great to massage the soles of the feet (yes, I also have plantar fasciitis). Of course, nothing beats a real massage....but when you need quick relief and not able to have a personal masseuse/masseur at your beck and call....this is perfect!

Best money spent.
The cure for the tender knots in my neck from the back of my head to the ends of my shoulders. Best money I’ve ever spent on amazon. Seriously. Great quality. Use it everyday.

It's Wacky, But It Works!
This is a wacky-looking product that works remarkably well, once you get the hang of how to target the knobs various places on your body. Works like a deep-tissue massage and/or gentle massage and even as a back-scratcher. I use it on the soles of my feet when they are sore or tight...and they feel much better for hours afterward. Use it anywhere that's needed on my legs, back, arms, neck, glutes on day(s) following a gym workout...and it lessens aches and pains during muscle recovery. Sometimes when I target a pain center in my foot or back and let a knob just dig in there, I can feel the relief even travel to other parts of my body, e.g., the inside of my ears, or my neck, or my hands. Doesn't necessarily replace a $200 foot-rubbing machine or an hour of professional massage, but it does a heck of a job for what it is and for what it costs. Originally recommended to me by a trainer in a gym that has a hospital-connected rehab area...they use this thing all the time. I told him I had a knot in my right lat area from sleeping in an odd way the night before--he got a Thera Cane, I targeted the knotted muscle..., and it honestly took away the pain in only a minute or two and I had a pain-free workout. I guess the best part about it (other than its working at all) is that you can really rub or dig into any spot on your body that is sore or tight without needing someone else's help...a person who may have trouble finding the spot or lacking the finger strength to really dig in once the spot is found. And, as I said, if you don't like or need a real digging-in with the knobs, you can also just use the non-knob sections to gently rub or scratch an area, which feels good, too. For example, the lower longer extension on the foot of the cane works well to either rub your foot over the width of the extension, or you can put the sole of your foot directly on the knob at the end of the extension and dig into pain centers that way instead. I could go on and on...and it appears that I have already...but I am telling you that this gizmo, odd as it may look, works darn well.

Does wonders!
I am struggling with a frozen shoulder and a lot of back pain. This cane do wonders and I even bring it with me in the car. It reaches all places and you will find spots that never hurt until this cane discovers them. I bought this one together with Q-Flex Acupressure Back and Body Massage tool. The cane is a lot harder and have few more options with more "tags" sticking out, while the Q-Flex is more flexible with a more pointed end. I love both and they compliment each other. My favorite is though this Thera Cane, since it is harder and I can put more power behind it. If I just knew how good this cane is, I would have gotten it years ago and saved myself for paying physical therapists for massage. I had a massage two days before I got this one and the Thera Cane did a lot better job on my back than two hands.
