I bought this product along with its number 1 competitor, the Tree New Bee, because I have a computer that has a fan that seems like it runs on high when the computer is over 50 degrees celcius. Overall, I am very impressed with both!! The Havit and the Tree New Bee both dropped the temperature of the laptop by 10 degree Celsius during idle temp and dropped 4 degree Celsius during a 10 minute benchmark test. The only thing that made this one better was that it is whisper quiet (I could not hear it running at all). After testing, I prefer the havit because it is quieter and it drops the temperature of my laptop by 10 degrees so the fan doesn't go into the high-speed mode unless I am doing something to require high CPU or GPU utilization. Would like to give this more than 5*! I use a laptop for a home theater application that stays on 24/7, on charger, lid closed, max performance/0 power saving settings. Was having issues with it randomly over heating video card, screen going full green, and locking up. Opened up case and took some compressed air to it which helped but didn't completely eliminate issue. After months of use with this product, not a single heating issue. It runs dead silent which is nice since it is on 24/7. As others have noted, no way to disable the blue LEDs and they are pretty bright. I suppose if I cared enough about that I could do some tinkering and fix that, but doesn't bother me enough to do so. After several months of being on constantly all the fans still work, they're are still silent, and it still moves lots of air. This requires no additional power source other than taking up one USB port

This laptop cooling pad does exactly what it is designed to do. It helps keep my new laptop cool while I am running intensive applications or games. It has a pretty simple design and I have not yet run into any problems with it. The laptop is secure when put on top of the cooling pad and the fans in the cooling pad have not died or struck the plastic case whatsoever. As long as it keeps working fine like this I will never have a complaint! Dimensions are confirmed as advertised. I use this cooling pad for Acer Aspire E 15, 15.6 Full HD, Intel Core i7, NVIDIA 940MX, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, Windows 10 Home, E5-575G-76YK Pros: *Keep the laptop cool *Good design *Good value Cons: *None Additional Considerations: If your laptop is running really hot make sure to check for obstructions and other "bigger" problems first. This cooling pad will help but it will not dig you out of the hole if you have something major causing heat build-up. Overall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 stars If you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

My old Targus mat which has served me well has over time become extremely noisy. In researching pads as a replacement, I automatically discarded the higher priced ones with adjustable speeds, glowing LEDs, trendy designs, and whatnots considering my laptop would be covering all that expensive eye candy. My priorities were rather basic: (1) thin & lightweight, (2) cooling performance, and (3) quiet. The HV-F2056 fits the bill and works as advertised: Thin & lightweight: The design fits 15.6” – 17” which works for me. I have a MSI GS70 2QE Stealth Pro with a screen size of 17.3” and overall length of 16” and width of 11.25”. With both units side by side (with the exception of length), the Havit is almost the same width and thickness as my laptop. The aluminum wire mesh design makes it definitely lighter and seems sturdy enough for traveling, so no problem there. Cooling performance: There are 3 monster 110 mm fans spinning at 1000 RPM which is almost double my old Targus and I can definitely feel the results of the updraft as the laptop bottom and sides are cool to the touch. I ran CoreTemp and HWMonitor with the fan off/fan on to be sure and there is definitely a drop in the internal temperature. The fans are also at the perfect location for my vents. What I did not want is a pad where the housing part had a lot of plastic that would cover the vents and with this being an all mesh surface it wasn't an issue. The 3rd pic shows the glow of it running. Like I said earlier, your laptop covers most of the unit so the lights aren't obtrusive. Quiet: Unless I’ve gone noise blind, I can’t hear this pad running! I think this cooling pad strikes a good balance between the amount of airflow and noise. I've also discovered that those fancy LEDs lights are not just another pretty glow, they may actually serve a purpose like… reminding you to turn off the cooling fans when you’ve shut down everything else! Power/Charging: This is not really a gripe since I’m a chord/adapter hoarder, but (a) a 12” USB chord come with the fan which is actually a tease and way too short, and (b) it does not come with a wall power source. I hate using my laptop as a host for power when not on the road, so was surprised there was no option to run from a wall source. Let’s face it, the reason many of us buy a cooling fan is to extend our battery life. While the cooling pad has a rating of 5 volts which seems minimal, it still converts to watts which adds to more battery drain to cool. Anyway, nothing a usb male-female extension cable and adapter couldn’t fix. Overall, this is a great cooling pad that is quiet, well built, sturdy, doesn’t slide around, and cools air effectively. As for durability, it’s a little too soon to tell. As for price, it’s a great value for the quality & thinness.

For many months I had issues with my laptop overheating to the extent I would switch it off just to let it cool down before I could use it again. I tried googling for some solutions to minimize the overheating and I came across the idea of buying a cooling pad. At first I was very hesitant of how such a product could make much of a difference but as I was desperate and the reviews were mostly positive, I bought this product anyways. A week later, now I can honestly say this product is a must buy for any laptop owner. It's large enough to suit most laptops but not too big that you can't store it away. This product has 3 fans which sound as if they are barely on! It is amazing how this product works so well with such silent fans. I cannot recommend this product enough!

This brand is excellent. I'm a believer in Laptop coolers to extend the life of the PC. I used to manufacture and distribute 'digital surveillance systems' for many years, and the cooling of the PC and even our DVR circuit boards was critical. Sadly, most Laptop coolers we've bought over the years died withing a couple months. I decided to try this brand based on reviews and absolutely wasn't disappointed. We've now had them for more than 2 years without fail. We have 2 -two fan, and 1-three fan running a minimum of 12 hours daily and all we do is use a vacuum every 2-3 months and they're good to go. Their angle is perfect; cooling is above average; and dependability is nothing I ever expected. I can't think of any other brand I would consider at any price. More than 2 years, and all three are still running great!

The LEDs are quite bright on this. I use this to cool my laptop when DJing hot events. Not only during the day time but also indoor events like Yoga classes. Yes we use a live DJ. The first time I did a class my Macbook Pro Early 2015 overheated and would not load anything. I learned my lesson and placed this under the laptop and installed a temperature software gauge to monitor temps. I used an external battery pack as it doesn't take much to power this laptop cooler. I wanted to segregate everything away from the laptop that would cause it to heat up. I was able to DJ the class which the temperature was hovering around 98 F degrees. The laptop was kept at a constant 104F. Last time it reached a pretty high temp - to the point where I could have damaged the laptop. I want to strip out the LEDs because they are a distraction and I don't need the lighting. Otherwise its fairly lightweight and did its job of keeping my laptop cool. I did remove the plastic case off of my laptop so that the metal would cool faster as its contact with the laptop cooler would allow the metal on the cooler to pull heat from the metal chassis of my Macbook Pro. I would recommend this product, but I also want to see how long these fans last. The LEDs are being removed as I speak so hopefully it doesn't distract people when I am using it.

I have had this now for a few weeks working virtually day/night non-stop. It keeps two external hard drives attached to my iMac desktop computer cool and it is very quiet. I like the fact that you simply plug it into an available USB port and turn on the small switch and it is up and running. If you don't want it running, use the small switch to turn it off. When I turn off my computer, it automatically shuts the device down, too, then boots it up again when I restart. I have left this running for several days in a row and working great still. It is just as quiet now as the day I turned it on. It does not rattle or have any extraneous noise. I have not used it for cooling a laptop, rather, I have several external hard drives that I wanted to cool, and it fits the bill perfectly. I combined this with a Monitor Stand Riser with Vented Metal from Haven Furniture, so that the cooler sits on the riser, and pulls more are through. The device has another USB port next to the one I am using to power it up from the computer. Thus, while you use one USB on your computer, you get a "pass-through" USB port so you still have the same port number to attach peripherals to, if needed. I use mine to charge other devices or attach an XKey keyboard through and it has very low latency. I liked this so much I am buying two more with the Monitor Stand Risers to put behind my dual monitors to keep the accessories/drives cool as it really heats up. If you do a lot of work on the computer with the lights turned low, the blue light emits a subtle glow behind the monitors which seems to ease eyestrain. I think it would be great to be able to cycle the colors or turn it blue to red, and so on, as well. Sometimes I am doing work on the monitors and it is very dark and having red light helps to keep my vision crisp so I don't have to adapt. Furthermore, much has been written about blue wavelength light shifting sleep cycles (I am practice sleep medicine and neurology) and having the ability to turn it red instead of blue (~ 440 nm) (or any other wavelength instead of blue, for that matter, would be helpful when working at night/in the evening. I have no hesitation at all, at this time, recommending this unit, overall.

does a great job of cooling my older hp that has a bad fan in it, it no longer gets hot. This is a very quiet product, cannot hear it unless in extremely quiet setting, and then just fan sound. Love that this has a tilt feature, actually like using my laptop with this more than before. It does raise your laptop about an 1" minimum, but with the tilt feature it is very comfortable to use.
