Recently I noticed food taking extra long to cook even with my grill set to high. This has happened before and I've found spiders inside the burner inlet blocking air/propane but this time there were no spiders. I checked the burners and decided after years of use it was time to replace them. Still this didn't fix the slow cooking. Even with new tanks the flame was low and I noticed the grill knobs had hardly any affect on the flame between low and high, I knew it had to be the regulator. Searching the web this seemed like the best deal and had the added bonus of being adjustable. Installation took about five minutes and my grill came back to life. Grill is now 100x times better and hopefully will last many more years.

Finally, I can control the gas. Pro:. I like to sear my meat n then cook slowly. Hard to get grill hot with a regular line. Had to turn on n wait 15-20 min. This bad boy has it HOT in 5 min n I can sear n turn down to slow cook n walk away. Other lines seem to plug and then can't get the heat you need. Not this one. You have control. Extra long hose line. Hated the other where you fight to get tank out n then fight to get in. This guy is long enough to sit outside the grill. No more fighting cause if you BBQ a lot, you go through tanks a lot. What a hassle to pull in n pull out. High pressure line. Cons:. Haven't found a one. I BBQ almost every day n I am sorry I waited so long to get this product.

This thing works perfectly. We do outdoor events and always had trouble with gas pressure on our large outdoor trailer grill. Hooked 2 of these up and you can easily manually adjust the gas to increase or lower the flame. Liked it so much I bought another one for my home grill.

Works as advertised. My two-ring grill came with a low pressure regulator that never produced a robust flame. There was a time when I thought it was because of low pressure levels in the tank or maybe spider webs in the line somewhere but this regulator solves the problem. To use it safely first turn the red pressure control valve completely off, then open the tank valve all the way and set the flame control knob on your grill to its start position. Now slowly crack open the red valve while lighting the flame. Once its lit set your grill control to its highest flame level and slowly open the red valve until the flame is a little more than what you think you'll need. I didn't need to open the red valve much at all to get a good flame.

My Coleman RoadTrip regulator went bad and replacements are very expensive. You can adapt this regulator to a RoadTrip but it requires you to salvage the brass 1/8" end (hard to unscrew) from the old regulator then use that piece plus a 1/8" male to 3/8" adapter to mate it to this hose (the correct adapter 3/8" flare M x 1/8" MNPT is available here on Amazon). Works great now but there is one CAUTION. The stock RoadTrip regulator reduces the gas pressure down to around 10 psi before it enters the grill. This regulator allows you adjust pressure from 0 - 20 psi so you will need to adjust the red knob to a suitable pressure once you hook it up. Otherwise the burners get too much gas and act like a blowtorch.

This Gas One device is AWESOME and exactly what I needed to complete my DIY project to convert an outdoor fire ring from wood burning to propane gas. I do like the automatic shut off feature when it senses an excessive flow of gas. Quality is good and time will tell how well it holds up, but so far so good.

I bought this to replace an inconsistent automatic regulator on my BBQ. I could have gotten the smaller PSI one I've found out, but this one works perfectly, almost too good. I can really crank up the flames for quicker preheating and cleaning of the grill, then dial it down to just a trickle to maintain my temperature for a consistent BBQ. Thanks!

Wow! Like turning on a jet engine. I used this with my propane fire pit and it made a huge difference. Propane tank flow seems lower when temps outside are lower than 40 deg F. This allows you to increase the propane flow to get a bigger flame. Made a huge difference for my fire pit this winter as I could get a bigger flame to keep me warmer

This was an essential part of converting my fire table to a larger flame by replacing the burner. Because it needs a special air mixer, I couldn't use the one provided by the manufacturer and this one was a great price and well made to control the flow of propane. Another useful product that you don't know how important it is until you need one. This one is well constructed and that alone is reassuring when it needs to control your highly flammable gas.

Correction. Regulator worked as expected. The one star review has been changed to 5 star. Caution to those using this on a propane grill. This is not intended for use on a propane grill. It is exactly what I was looking for and gave new life to an old grill. BE CAREFUL. You can over heat your grill way before the flow sensor shuts the regulator down. It is capable of many times what your grill needs at the highest setting. I am using it on a 70,000 BTU Jenn Air and it only needs to be at less than 5 PSI. Apologies to the mfg for my mistake.
