This refrigerator has plenty of room. In our space, we don't need the freezer, and mini-fridges that have freezers are never that great, what's in the freezer isn't cold enough and they tend to frost things that are near them. The compartments are great, it has curves on the door shelfs so you can stick things in like cartons of milk or juice containers. The shelves are sturdy and I've got one shelf holding a 24-pack of water bottles without any problems. So far this has been a great fridge for us. I've included a picture that shows you how tall it is, when I was shopping I had no idea how tall it'd turn out.

Nice, quiet small fridge that just met the measurements of the space I had for it in a basement pantry. The temp. control is rather difficult to read once the machine is in place; I had to take a picture and affix it to the top of the fridge so as not to have to pull it out to check which way to turn the nob to adjust for temperature. I have it up off the floor on a shelf and had to add a plywood base over the coated wire shelves so that the feet were firmly resting at same height, not dropping through wire shelving in the front, but that worked out well and don't have to bend over to access the contents.

Once again, Amazon is amazing!!!!! 2-Day free shipping!!!!!!!!!!! The product came double boxed and damaged free. I did let it sit overnight before plugging it in. Got to perfect temperature in about 2 hours. And I have it set just about a quarter of an inch from center on the controller. Beer is ice cold!!!!!!!!!! I like that there is a little "guardrail" built on to the rear of the racks to keep the cans from touching. I was able to get an 18 pack on the top shelf, a case on the second (cans) and yes, about 12-14 bottles of water on the bottom. The door shelves hold about 5 bottles of beer each. The can holders are obvious. I love the fact that this DOES NOT have that useless little freezer up top. This is just what I was looking for to replace the one that died on my back porch. No more cooler out by the pool for me...................

I got my mini fridge yesterday & set it up in my kids church room. I read a lot of reviews where people said they received this fridge & it was dented or damaged in some way. My fridge arrived in perfect condition. It was packaged well not only in two boxes but surrounded by very thick styrofoam as well. This fridge is the perfect size & so far it seems to be keeping my sodas & waters cold. I'm pretty impressed with the amount of space inside too. I plan on filling it up to capacity. So far, so good.

I purchased this fridge for my beer collection, and it works nearly perfectly. The top shelf holds two 64oz growlers, plus sixteen or so 12oz bottles, or a few 22oz ones. The bottom shelf doesn't hold bottles, but takes eighteen or more 16oz cans. The rear half of the middle shelf, slightly annoyingly, sits a bit high and won't accept most 12oz bottles without a bit of force. The front half of it, though, is perfect for 12oz bottles and holds fourteen or so of them. A few more can be wedged in the back if necessary, or some shorter bottles or more cans can be put back there. And of course the door is good for at least 8 cans, plus some 12 or 22oz bottles as well. More importantly, at its lowest (least cool) setting, the fridge maintains a perfect temperature of 45-50 degrees throughout, without the use of any external regulators. In light of that, as well as the sub-$200 price, I would not hesitate to recommend this fridge to anyone looking to keep some beer.

Bought this unit to test for use in living Off Grid in the wilderness. I will be on solar and wind power so wanted an all refrigerator that didn't use much power. This unit is rated at 1 amp or 120 watts. But in many cases when compressor starts it uses much more. I read that is may use as much as 10 amps each time it cycles on. So I was hoping it would operate at 120 watts average. I stated with 600 watt power inverter. It started easily but after few hours alarm went off which I figured is due to high start power. So I used 1500 watt inverter. No problem after running for 12 hours. But what was shocking was the power usage. It was using less that 50 watts. The unit was cooling to 37 degrees yet barely stress the 1 storage battery. I went back to 600 watt power inverter and after 6 hours no alarm came on. I figure after the compressor had some usages it was more lubricated and used much less power. In summery, if you need a refrigerator for an RV or Off the Grid use this unit is highly recommended. Unit is extremely quiet.

I bought this fridge in September of 2015 (today is 10/17/17) to replace a beverage cooler I had for less than a year before it suddenly stopped working. I was told that these small units often don't make it past a year or two. I am really into good beer, and this fridge is for my private stash of awesome beer. It is often filled to capacity, and is set to be cellar temperature (42 - 47 degrees F). I have it set at about 60% cold on the dial, and it has been very reliable up to this moment. It looks good and the price is reasonable. Two years and still going strong...I think a cold one is calling me now...

You can buy a combo unit instead, btut I wouldn't. Get this and a similar (or smaller/larger) freezer. Why? I've been through a couple of mini combo's and am here for the same reason as you: 1) The mini fridge super mini freezer section sucks. The thing on top/bottom stays half frozen, but HagenDaaz melts. And after a while, it's iced completely and the milk seems suspicious warm. So you have to defrost it. Are you going to move the whole thing out where it can defrost properly and toss the other stuff? No, you are not. You are going to give it twenty minutes, get impatient as it drips and you think of wasting a Saturday on this and then you get the butter knife. A few blows later, and you're thinking "Last time was a fluke, this time I'm doing it right!" You are thrilled with the great big chunks of ice coming out, that you will NOT have to wait on and the Saturday afternoon that seems wide open with possibilities. Then you hit it again..... Hssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss goes that familiar sound. Now you are on Amazon looking at this review, perhaps after googling what an all refrigerator was. Just get this. If you want gallons of ice cream or costco runs, get a tiny over the counter freezer, or a chest freezer (or a matching/similar undercounter like this in all freezer version) and be done with it. Now, can this be built as an undercounter model, with almost no clearance? Yes, yes it can... but it will die. The heat needs to go somewhere hence the 4" clearance in docs. But... give it an inch of clearance on all side, wind tunnel style, and DIY it up with a fan (computer fans work well, are quiet and low energy). Build it right and you'll be swapping the fan out in a few months/years instead of the cooked compressor. It's about 34" in the front, 33" in the back for you counter inch counters - slight bevel. I'll update this if it dies before March. I received not a penny's discount in exchange for my fair and honest review, so how about a helpful clicky click?

I have a second job, and this 1.7 cu ft compact fridge without the freezer is perfect for my part-time, one person office. I mainly wanted space to hold lunch, milk, water and this size is perfect for my purposes, with room for additional items. If more than one person used my office, I would have opted for one of the larger sizes. The interior door storage can hold cans/bottles, a half gallon of milk or juice, and the top of the fridge is made of a scratch resistant surface perfect for holding my Keurig or another heavier electronic item. Caveat with this fridge is that the 18-month warranty is voided if used in an outside kitchen or garage since these are apparently not designed for outside installation, or anywhere not temperature controlled, such as carports or porches. Overall, perfect for my purposes and works great with a nice temperature control setting. This model would also be great for a dorm room.

I ordered this from OJ Commerce on 03/09/2018. My refrigerator arrived early. It was very well packaged. I waited for awhile to post a review because I wanted to give it time to see if it worked well. It is very quiet (it does make a little bit of noise when it cycles on, but every refrigerator does, and it is not very loud). It keeps my beverages, sauces, and meats very cold. The interior is extremely well designed and the shelves and door slots are very sturdy! I am extremely happy with my Danby 1.7cuft compact refrigerator. I showed it to my son and he is seriously considering purchasing one too. All of my family and friends are very impressed with the design and workmanship, as am I. Excellent compact fridge that I would highly recommend.
