Here is How to Get the Correct Fit

This entire product line is phenomenal and everyone should own at least one Charmian product. I did notice while reading through the questions that many people are buying their first corset and do not understand how corset sizing works. Normally, you will want to buy a corset that is 4-6 inches SMALLER than your natural waist measurement. A 4" reduction is perfect for casual wearers and what you should go with if you aren't sure. As an example (using the provided sizing charts to the left of the images) I have a natural 30 inch waist (standing, relaxed) if I order the L the corset waist when closed completely (the back lacing grommets are touching with no space between panels) will be 30 inches. This corset will be loose, not give me an hourglass shape, not stay in place, nor am I likely to fill out the bust (the compression is what assists with that). To achieve a proper fit I need to order a corset with a 26 inch waist. Then when wearing it if I lace the corset completely closed it will be snug and provide the proper shape and support expected in a corset. If you have extra fatty tissue on your waist you will be able to compress more and achieve an even more dramatic result and a 6" decrease from your waist size might be a better fit. (Again, if you aren't sure -or especially if this is your first corset- take off only 4 inches from your natural waist size.) These corsets are very well made, beautiful, flattering, and the spiral boning while as supporting as steel boning allows you to actually bend some - normal steel boned corsets prevent any bending at the waist. PS: Because of the spiral boning you can literally pull the lower edge of the corset back up over itself, which can be extremely helpful during certain clothing maneuvers when in the restroom. If your thinking about buying it, BUY IT!!

I was very impressed with this corset. The quality was above my expectations. It comes in two pieces so you have the choice to flaunt it or be less revealing. I loved the added straps and pouches, really gave it a "steampunk" look and feel (if that is what you are going for). I have smaller breasts and this worked out great! There is a cover behind the lace-up so I was able to wear a bra and it fully was hidden, compared to other corsets where you can see the skin through the lace-up. However, there is a way to remove the cover and expose your back if you want skin showing. The lacing was fully adjustable and it fit my body perfect. The length was longer than a lot of corset I have worn, made for a nice fit and wasn't to revealing, shaped my stomach and hips very nicely and comfortably. Talk about comfort! This was so very comfortable! I wore it for 13 hours and was comfortable the entire time! No digging wires or schaffing of the skin. I purchased the medium size and I have an average size build, I stand 5"4", hope that helps.

I adore this!!!!!

This thing is awesome. It fits like a glove! For size reference, I ordered a 3XL. My measurements are 42 chest, 36 waist, 44 hips. I had to pull the laces almost all the way out and then cinch them tight in the waist but that only accentuated the slimming look. Can't wait to wear it on Halloween this weekend! And maybe the next day... And the next day...

Fantastic fit. It you have larger (more fat on the hips) size up from your original size, it gets tight. And when you get it, loosen up the strings all the way, zip it up then tighten it. It looks good and fits great. Recommended BUY.

I personally love the this corset. The quality is good but its not steel bone, it clinch in the waist; also, it have a side zipper that help you get in the corset by yourself. When ordering go by their size chart. I'm 151, 5'7, the XL fitted perfect.

Pirate costume!!!

I'm 5'9" and 180 lb and ordered an XXL. Fits perfectly. I can lace it comfortably and have plenty of room to tighten if I feel like it. I did order for a family friendly event so I bought a crop top peasant shirt to wear under because my 36DD's looked giant in this corset. I also got snake print leggings and boots off of Amazon to complete the look. Pics with and without undershirt.

Beautiful and fun!!

This multi color corset is beautiful! As for sizing I first ordered a 3XL, I have a 33 inch waist and a 36 b bust. It fit perfectly on my waist but the bust was huge! Because this corset is so amazingly beautiful I decided to reorder. I would have ordered the XL but it was not in stock so I ordered the 2XL. I had to loosen the back laces a bit but there is a fabric panel so no skin shown through the laces. The bust fit much better but still a bit big. I used a safety pin to tighten it up and a stick on bra to fill out the cups a little more. I think the XL would have fit perfectly on my breasts. I am still very satisfied with the size I ended up with the 2XL. The corset is very well made for the price except the belt/choker on the little jacket looks cheap. I am extremely satisfied with this corset! I had many compliments at the Halloween party I attended. Everyone wanted to know where I got my outfit.

If you're tiny go with XS

Beautiful corset with wonderful quality! If you are small go with XS, I didn't know what to do after reading the reviews, I almost got a small because they all said to buy one size up, but I got an XS and still had to tighten it almost all the way. I'm 5'0" and 90 lbs for reference.

PERFECT!

So i originally got the black color, and i got it in 6x because im normally between a 2 and 3x in women's clothes (big in weird spots) well that one was WAY too big,even tightened all the way, there was too much room. So i took a chance and got the red and black skulls in a 4x and it fits PERFECTLY! there is a tiny bit of extra space in the bust area but i just wear a bra and got one of those half shirts that's a pirate looking top for it and it makes up for it. I will be posting pictures with this review at a later date. I do put this on all on my own, no help and at first i had a small scare with the zipper because the bottom popped out but lucky for me i fixed it quickly, and since then its been amazing. really beautifully made, and i feel amazing in it. I love it and hope that i can buy more in different colors. I am attaching pictures of how it comes and the shirt i added to wear underneath, personal preference.

Amazing and well made corset, a lot of bang for your buck

Very well made corset, fits true to waist size given in sizing chart. I usually do not buy over bust corsets because they tend to make the girls look small or it does not fill out since I am just a B cup. However with the jacket and way this is cut in the front, it actually worked well for my figure. Metal boning instead of plastic means it keeps its shape. Feels and looks like real blue jean material. Black parts look and feel like patent leather. Stitching is also excellent. My only real complaint, and it's not a deal breaker by any means, is there is no way to tighten the strap across the chest or the hip belt with pockets so they hang a little loose but not a real issue. This is a lot of bang for your buck in my opinion and it was perfect for my Steam Punk inspired Halloween costume. Side note, I am a B cup and measurements are 36 bust x 31 waist x 38 hip.
