I use these for more than food storage; I use them to put full size bottles or containers when I travel. Freezer bags are thicker and more durable, and the slide open and close is easier for hands with arthritis.

Decent price but I mostly buy them on Amazon for convenience because I so often forget to pick them up at the grocery store. I prefer to use the freezer style bags for everything because the plastic is more sturdy and I think they seal better to keep chips from going stale. I also like using these for chicken breasts - I can add a few to the bag, pound/flatten them with the tenderizer (without ripping/breaking), add my marinade and stick back in the fridge until I'm ready to make dinner.

These freezer bags are very convenient. I'm a hunter and I've yet to find a single product that will keep frozen meat super fresh for 12+ months. But the best way I've found to keep meat fresh for a long duration in the freezer is to wrap it in clear wrap, then butchers paper, then place the meat in one of these bags. It stays fresh for 12+ months easy.

I only buy Freezer Bags due to the excellent food storage, even if just in fridge. At these prices you can't go wrong especially with a Heavy Duty Nationally known brand.

These bags are used by our kitchen help to portion foods for food pantry distributions. Our volunteers are older and it's much easier to use the slider closures than the typical zip locks on other brands. The job goes much faster and easier now!

I ordered the 96 count of the freezer bags because I simply got tired of running out and picking up a different brand when at the store (sometimes I am lured away by lower priced items or on sale items) , then finding out when I go to use them that they are not nearly as nice as Hefty freezer bags. I like the gallon size as it is suitable for so many things, and I can usually fit a five lb bag of sugar or flour etc into them (sometimes it has to be a previously opened bag with a little bit missing to fit perfectly). I keep all my flour, sugar, cornmeal, oatmeal etc in zip log bags or containers and often keep them in the freezer, so these bags work perfect for that. I have a snack cupboard for the grandkids when they are here and all opened bags of cookies or crackers also go into the zip lock bags and back into the snack cupboard. It prevents much waste where the crackers or cookies go stale or soften up. I am a thrifty person and these are strong enough that I can reuse them sometimes. I often slip leftover rolls or buns into the bags and pop into the freezer instead of letting them sit around and get stale, then when I do use the buns, I shake the bag out , and fold it up and put it back in the freezer.. then I reuse them the next time I freeze buns or bread etc. The bags can also be used for many other things. I keep all the grandkids hair brushes and such in a bag in the drawer then they can easily find their own combs and hair bands etc. The bags are fairly thick and zip easily and stay closed after zipping. At the moment I feel positively rich with bags by buying the 96 count set of bags and this is the way I will purchase them in the future.

Love the locking slider that makes for confident closures. The weight of the bag is perfect for freezing. I live most of the ear in Europe where they don't have as good a quality of bags, so I bring these home with me when I visit the USA.

They work just like they are supposed to. The top won't stay closed if you get anything, even 1 grain of cracked pepper, in the zipper track though. Normal ZipLock bags are better in that respect because you can still close 95% of the bag whereas this type of closure won't close at any point after the obstruction when you try sliding the zipper past it.

I buy these plastic bags from Amazon all the time because I can buy the size I want in large quantities for a reasonable price. Too expensive in the grocery stores.

We used these for the emergency ration food and water for our apartment building's emergency kit starter packs. They are just the right size and shape to hold what we provide for the residents, and as freezer bags from Hefty, they will stand up to our needs. They were a better price here than in the store, too.
