Don't let the competitive price scare you. This device is every bit as accurate as its nearest competitors at around two-thirds the price. I am very impressed with this little unit's accuracy, ease of use, durability, and battery life. The red/green level indicator light is great. If the light is green, the beam is level. If the light is read, you simply "eyeball" the unit until you get a green light. Really fast and really easy to use. My only complaint is one that I think is common to all laser devices: The beam widens out, and is over 1/8" wide at 30'.

I purchased this after watching a video on installing a curtain rod and they used a laser level. It looked like a cool thing to have and this one had good reviews. I am so glad I bought this. It was easy to use and really so much easier than my very old spirit level. I used it to install my curtain rod and used the vertical option to install the pulley in line with the edge of the curtain rod. I anticipate finding lots of uses for this in the future. A very worthwhile purchase.

This is the best value in a self-leveling laser available on Amazon. I have been using the Hammerhead on an almost daily basis for 3 months while doing a full house remodel. I do recommend getting a tripod if you were going to use it in spaces where the included clamp may not help so much, particularly in large rooms. I did read several complaints about the brightness of the lasers and I have noticed that midday sun in a room makes it hard to see. If you can work around that you can save yourself a couple hundred dollars with this tool. When mounted on the tripod, I prefer to do this as R2. And I have had many conversations during long nights of tiling almost 2, 000 square feet of flooring.

I was ready to buy Bosch or other more expensive brands until I read many reviews about this level being fantastic for its price. I honestly never owned a laser level but figured it'll come in handy as there were areas I didn't feel like measuring and leveling with a level. It was pretty straightforward as far as setting it up. I took my photography tripod and made sure it's relatively level. Aim, turn it on and within 5-6 seconds, the laser leveled. Just to be sure, I measured the area as well as took my regular level and the results were both spot on as the laser. It saved me time on so many occasions already. The beam width is visible even during the day in a well lit room. Now I will say honestly if you have very bright lights indoors like I do in my basement that have 5,000-6,000 lumens of light in any given space, then the line does seem faint the further the laser is placed. For most homes with brightness using few 60w equivalent bulbs shouldn't be an issue. Overall for $50 it's well worth it. For hanging and measuring things that aren't absolutely critical in terms of getting the measurement to 1/64" accuracy but it's accurate enough things don't look crooked when installed.

Works as advertised; plumb and level. Rugged enough. Batteries seem to last quite a while. Good price. You'll have occasional issues mounting it (usually to get right height); the clip wants objects like ladder sides and frame lumber, not so much finished door jambs or thick furniture. Do yourself a favor and get a standard camera tripod, 60" or more if you can find one. The unit mounts to it just like a camera would.

Although this is NOT a 360 degree laser, yet it is VERY handy in laying out the shelving locations and horizontal reference lines, in my current project. The only drawback is that you have to find an unobstructed and yet out of the way place to mount this in order to have it project in the area that you want to cover. You must project from a parallel location, such as an opposing wall or ladder in the middle of the room, to be sure that you are getting the horizontal or vertical reference line that you want at the height that you want. All that said, this saved me a LOT of time and aggravation whenever I get ready to run a line for my next shelf location. For vertical references on the fly, in my opinion, you're still better off with a 3-4' bubble level. But, for laying out a static vertical line on a wall this could be very handy.

I don't even remember what I bought this for, but I use it all the time now. I have levelled pictures, TVs, car seats, and more. Mine seems to be very accurate because it lines up perfectly with the wall edges in my house. If you are the type of person that will be annoyed by knowing that something that you hung isn't perfectly level, then you should buy this product. The only caveat is that you probably want a compatible tripod too. I still haven't bought one but it is very tedious to adjust the height of the level line by stacking up objects of varying thickness!

I got this to do some gallery walls and MAN it has come in far more handy than I expected it to be! So useful! It makes handing frames requiring more than one hook a BREEZE. The batteries that came with it lasted long enough (I have a tendency to just leave this thing on for hours at a time) - one thing that may have been mentioned in the manual (I'm not sure - so I'm mentioning it here) is that if the crosshairs just keep blinking, as if you're not within the "level" range - it could be the batteries need replacing. I was losing my mind for about 20 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't level and kept blinking - sure enough, changed the batteries - and back to normal. The clamp that came with it is super useful for high places too! Otherwise, I just use a cheap camera tripod I got from a thrift store some years back. LOVE THIS LIL GUY! Impressive quality too, and usually I just prefer Dewalt products over anything else. But this has been very impressive for the price. Highly recommend it. Also, I recently used this to drill holes for anchoring furniture to the walls. I decided to literally chain a couple of record shelves to the wall with gold chains because I like how it looks. I have two matching shelves on both sides of a credenza and I had to have the anchors (giant hook eyes) level across the whole wall, and this laser was PERFECT for that. It makes everything so easy! I had done the first bookshelf before getting the matching one, and BEFORE getting this laser - and I ended up drilling and anchoring only for it to somehow still be uneven (because walls are never perfect) and ended up having to spackle all and do it over and over again. By the time I got the second shelf, I had this laser, and it took maybe 45 minutes altogether (I had to paint the anchors gold to match the chains - I'll add some pictures someday, I'm sure I'm not doing a great job describing it). Anyway - this laser is a serious time saver.

What a great tool. I saw this in a youtube video before I started my DIY shower re-tile project. I've done two tile projects before so I instantly knew how valuable this tool would be. Tiling a three-sided shower wall is a 3-dimensional problem. I'm using 4"x12" tile so my walls need to be fairly flat. In the past I'd try to use 4' levels to assess flatness... it can be done, but it's slow and still quite subjective. This tool gives you an easy to see line that runs from floor to ceiling. I didn't want to buy any fancy adjustable stand to hold this line level, so I was hoping that I'd be able to use something like a cheap tripod. Yup, I found that I could use the levels clamp (with two articulating joints) to clamp onto one of the legs of the tripod, or the center post. Sometimes, I just laid the level on the shower niche (while tiling). Sometimes I could clamp the level to the door to the bathroom. Once I even clamped it to a 2x2 piece of lumber and just leaned that up against the shower wall. The nice feature of this level that makes it so easy to set up in all these different ways, is that you only have to get close to level to begin, and it then floats itself to level. If you don't have it close enough, the laser keeps blinking (and a light on top goes from green to red). You quickly learn that it only takes 1-3 seconds to re-adjust to get it close enough... very easy. You do have to be careful to remember that you're dealing with 3-dimensions. For example, if you're running tile and you want to use this to establish a vertical line reference. Let's say that you can't get the laser level located square off the wall you're working on. Maybe, the only place you can set up the laser level is 45-60 degree off to the side. You think you're looking at a vertical line, but if the wall is bowed from top to bottom then the laser line will bend away from vertical as it hits that bowed wall. I couldn't find any other potential problems with this laser, and it worked so well that my confidence went sky high because I always knew where my tiles were headed. Using this tool I was easily able to measure all three walls and knew exactly how square they were to vertical, and square to each other. I always checked my self as I went along, laying tile, but the measurements held up throughout. So, finally I started adjusting the tile gaps slightly, knowing that the outside corner wall edge was not perfectly vertical and I could play with the edge of the last tiles to follow that wall edge a bit. Fantastic tool. It had a few different modes, but I just used the on and off button... all I needed was a vertical and horizontal line reference and it did that easily and perfectly.

For the money, this is probably the very best deal you can get on an accurate laser leveler. I run a Property Rehab business out of my home and recently bought this to do some punch list work for a property management company that I contract for here in Central FL......installing shower towel bars, shelving, a couple of upper cabinets, etc. This tool has already earned the ~$50.00 that I paid for it and then some. Has a decent arc of projection, toggles between plumb line only, horizontal line only, and plumb / horizontal crosshairs line only. Definitely powerful enough to light an inside room and has very good projection at 20-25'...haven't needed it for farther out nor will I probably ever Don't know about the battery life but so far so good after only 4-5 hours time. Comes in a sturdy cardboard box that should be reused to contain and store this "more fragile" tool. Has a cutout inside box that nests the laser head and holder just fine. I use an old boom microphone stand from my garage / bar band days to mount the laser head onto and it works like a dream. Perfect for probably 95% of the jobs that a Handyman / serious DIY'er will ever do. Best $50.00 that I have spent in awhile -
