Love this vac, perfect in every way
Big fan of this vacuum. I bought a Eureka RapidClean Step which I thought was horrible...That one had an absolutely worthless dust bin with a cloth filer that clogged up with dust the minute you turned it on. It also left a good inch of uncleaned surface. This is night and day. The power is fantastic, it really has strong suction and cleans very well. For use on stairs, it can't be beat. I use the pet brush with the mini beater bar and it's exactly what I needed to vacuum my carpeted stairs. The unit is also very solidly built. Some reviews said it's heavy, but what do you expect from a handheld vac with a strong motor? It's certainly not heavy, no more than any other hand vac. I found that the handle is well designed and it's easy to wield and maneuver. The dustbin on this is clean and simple. No stupid filter inside the bin, the filters are all located in their own cavities which can be easily accessed for cleaning. The bin opens up and dumps the dust over a garbage can with no spillage. The hose is a nice addition, although for most tasks I use it for it is not needed. I just stick the tool directly onto the nozzle on the motor and it provides more stability when vacuuming stairs or a floor. I use the hose when I'm trying to get into crevices behind my fridge or other hard to reach areas. It's plenty flexible and can stretch out quite a bit. This comes with all the attachments you could need. I bought it because my main vac is a Shark Powerhead (awesome vacuum by the way) and it doesn't have any attachments. Needed something for my stairs and for quick clean ups. The cord is also plenty long for anything I would use it for. There is no cord management piece though, you just wrap it around the motor when you're done. Doesn't look as nice that way but that just doesn't matter to me. The noise is pretty standard, it was actually quieter than the Eureka so with that in mind I'd say the noise level is ideal for a vacuum. They're loud, that just how it is. It really is worth the money. I tried to save a few bucks buying the Eureka, and I never should have wasted my time. I've owned two other Shark vacuums and they're fantastic so I should have just stuck with Shark from the beginning. Honestly it's not the most expensive option anyway...I researched quite a bit and found others that were 2x or 3x the price, which after having owned this I'd say is unnecessary. I love it!

This is the best hand held vac I have ever used!
Wow! This little machine is awesome! It arrived today so I wanted to test it to make sure it worked. Well, I have a little blanket for my dog, it always has short little hairs that I could not seem to get out? I have used my Vacuum attachments, lint tape and there was always some little hairs left. I used this Shark Rocket and omg it took up all the dander and hair and it the doggie blanket looks brand new! I have tried the cordless hand held vacs and did not like it. This will be perfect also to use on my high ceiling cut outs. Yes I will need my ladder but now I can clean them well. I got a great sale on this product and also applied Amazon Prime Rewards! Came on my birthday!! I would tell anyone looking for a hand held vac to check this out!

Lordy, I love this thing!
I waited to write this review till I'd used it for a while, but Lordy, I love this this thing! I already have a full-sized Shark Rocket, which I bought in 2014, is still going strong, and which changed my life. This one is also life-changing--it's letting me clean in corners and out-of-the way places I've never been able to reach before. It's possible I may have been able to do the same thing with the attachments on the full-sized Shark Rocket, but I dislike finding pieces and breaking it down, so I rarely use its attachments. Or maybe it is quite different, I'm not sure. In any event, this is easy to use--nothing much to pull apart and take off. Just put on the attachment you want and then cracks and corners yield dust, dirt and fur. Years ago I bought a hand-held Black and Decker, which was battery powered with a rechargeable battery. Sounds like a good choice, right? Not. The sucking power was measly, but never having had a Shark for comparison (my other one was an upright Hoover that had long since seen better days), I didn't realize how puny it was. Also the battery gradually lost power so it became weaker and weaker. I love this corded hand-held vac. No worries about power--just plug it in and there you go. As to suction, it will suck up anything, including once, a sock. I just now vacuumed up a huge amount of cat fur and litter from way underneath my old claw-food tub. Broken cracks in the walls of my ancient apartment--now clean. The motor part is heavy though. I have to get it positioned just right in my left hand under the crook of my arm in order to guide the vacuum side with my right hand. All I can say is: worth it!

Beats the Dyson, big time
Wish I’d bought this long ago, before I paid $300 for the Dyson hand vac. The Dyson wasn’t great to begin with. Didn’t get hair out of carpet or pet hair off the couch. It didn’t pick up cat food kibble. It basically was a very pricey duster. And the battery only lasted 2 years before it stopped staying charged for more than 45 seconds(only ever lasted no more than 5 minutes). This, on the other hand, is super powerful. The rotary brush gets all the hair and heavier kibble. The cord is not very long so I do have to unplug and replug it. It’s also a bit heavy so after 15 min my hand was tired. Still worth it, though. I just got it so haven’t experimented with the attachments yet, but I was so pleased by the test run, I thought I’d write a positive review.

This Hand Held Vac is the best that I've purchased
This Hand Held Vac is the best that I've purchased. I had a hand held vac that was cordless that was great until the battery gave out soon after I used it for a short period of time. I didn't want another cordless so, when I saw this one with a very long cord, I purchased it right away. I like Shark products so, being a recognized brand and found on the Amazon website, I didn't hesitate. I can say that the suction of this Vac will not leave anything behind but the rug or floor you use it on. Great product.

Best. Vacuum. EVER.
This could very well be my favorite purchase from amazon. I have always HATED vacuuming my stairs and never could find an easy way to do it. This vacuum is a game changer. It is super light weight with great suction. The brush head bends backwards slightly making it super easy to vacuum stairs. I honestly have no complaints about this. It is amazing - everyone with stairs in their home needs one of these! Ps it also makes vacuuming couches easy too!! Does the trick to easily clean up after all of the hair from my dog.

Proven effective to get that pet hair!
I have 2 carpeted flights of stairs. Lugging a full size vacuum was absolutely difficult to say the least. Really disappointed with the little hand held rechargeable vacuums because of lack of power and battery life shortened over time making it so they would need recharge prior to finishing the job. I was in search of a light weight powerful suction vacuum. I have 2 dogs and keeping up with their shedding is quite a feat! I read many reviews and determined that the shark rocket seemed to have the best reviews! I used it for the first time and am very satisfied! PROS: *lightweight *powerful suction *easy to change attachments *rotating brush really helps get deep clean *easy to empty *cleaning instructions seem simple *cord length is long enough to complete entire staircase Cons: *no storage/carrying caddy for easy storage *cord does not retract so will have to wind up I included one picture of stairs. Keep in mind, I have 2 sets of those stairs. Before pictures showing all the dog hair and the after showing the hair vacuumed away. Lastly is the emptied contents from the vacuum. Enough to create a small animal. But, I believe the proof is in the before and after pictures. It will probably be ready for another vacuum tomorrow as much as my dogs shed, but now I am equipped to tackle the job!!

Picks up cat hair like a dream!
When I first took the vacuum out of the box, I was a little doubtful of its power given how small and light it is, but this petite little vacuum pulled all of the cat hair up off my couch on the first pass and additionally picked up an embarrassing amount of dust. The little power brush attachment is everything I hoped it would be. The power cord isn't super long, but I should only need an extension cord when I take it out to vacuum my car. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Love this his product as all shark vacs
Love this his product as all shark vacs, I bought this for my car. I have a dog that loves to go on car rides but h sheds so much. I hated dragging out my stand up vac. The thing I like the most of this compact vac is that it has a motorized brush, which any dog owner knows is necessary to pick up hair from a rug. Cleaning is easy just open the compartment over a trash bin and done. I highly recommend this vacuum.
