Cute little water toy. We use it both in the baby pool and in the tub. It's easy to wind up, just roll the little flippers back a few times, let go, and zoom! But it doesn't swim too fast--my 18 month old isn't intimidated by it. Sometimes fast, motorized toys scare him! But this one is great. Very cute penguin with an adorable face. Although my toddler can't quite wind it up himself yet, he is trying. He will get it soon enough.

Awesome toy--I thought it was broken like other reviewers. You wind his arms several times to make him swim. He goes really fast. I would buy this toy for older kids who don't put things in their mouth however, still a great buy. This toy is better than the other wind up toys sold on Amazon.

My 1.5 year old son LOVES this penguin. We use it in the bath but also occasionally bring it along to the pool and it's held up great. Right now I still have to wind the arms up myself, but I think he'll get the hang of it over the next few months.

This is a great little bath toy. You wind the arms "backward" and when you release - make sure you release in the water. The forward motion sets it to swimming. It does take in water, so be sure to hold it head down after the bath to empty it to avoid mold and mildew build up. It is a hard plastic so I would recommend against this for younger children who can't control the impulse to throw everything. We bought it for my 18 months old and had to put it back up until she was closer to 2. She loves it now!

This is a great bath toy. My daughter is two and a half, and she loved it! You have to use the wings as a key and turn them, and then, when you let go, just drop the toy in the water. And I was surprised, but the penguin actually swims and moves through the water. The toy was a hit!

I wanted to get my 10-month-old some bath toys that wouldn't build up with mold like those rubber squeeze toys do. Water seems to drain out of two or three different holes and I don't notice any water inside when I shake it. I saw this for $7 and needed to reach $25 for an add-on item, so I bought it. She hasn't quite figured out the wind-up function yet, but she actually walks into the bathroom, digs this out of the basket and plays with it when she's not in the bathtub lol. The plastic seems to be pretty solid, so you can probably sanitize it or put it in the top of the dishwasher, but I haven't tried that yet.

Very cute wind-up swim toy for a toddler or preschooler. You twist/wind the penguin’s wings to get them to spin. We gave this to our little girl for her 4th birthday. She has enjoyed playing with it during her bath. Bath time has increased in duration because of this little toy. It’s nice to see today’s children entertained by such a simplistic, non-electronic toy. Reminds me of my happy childhood!

My two year old LOVES penguins. I was looking for something for her to play with in the tub or pool and ordered this. She loved it immediately. She doesn't understand how to wind it up to make it move, but that's okay. I would gift this to any small child that enjoys bath toys.

My son was becoming increasingly afraid of the water at bathtime. I wanted to make sure it was fun for him. We don't have a full size tub, so I was looking for a small toy that would work well in his toddler bath tub. This worked perfectly. He loves it.
