Excellent product...

I have had the opportunity to use this product two days after receiving it. Have to say it has worked very well. After shoveling snow from driveway and sidewalk areas, spread the Calcium Chloride to help prevent some further build up overnight. Well had about another 1” of snow fall. Neighbors areas covered in snow, Areas I had treated was wet, and snow free. As I will not use salt on my concrete, leaves no white residue. Completely satisfied and will purchase again as needed.

Works well.

I used this product last year, and purchased more for the present year. It seems to work well - especially in areas that get the sunshine. Works faster in the sunshine. So far it has not damaged my driveway or sidewalks. Crossing my fingers that that remains true. It is pricey, and sometimes it gets used up faster than I hope. But, it is effective. It does not harm pets, and seems to totally dissipate when it is used - as it melts the snow/ice.

Perfect for pool Calcium

I use this to add calcium to my pool. It is 96% which is higher concentration then the stuff they sell at your pool store and 1/2 the price. Don't be fooled when your pool place says that this stuff is bad for your pool or that it isn't the "right" kind of calcium. Chemistry is chemistry. It is exactly the same chemical compound they sell (Don't get me started on Alkalinity Increaser...which is the same baking soda you can buy at a grocery store). Just make sure you account for the increase purity of this product when you do your calculations of how much to add. I don't remember exactly but I think the stuff they sell in most pool stores is 80 - 90%. This is 96% so you will need less to get the same increase in Calcium.

Have to say WAY to go on the new kids 👏 So much better than last year . I ordered this was suppose to get it Tuesday and came Saturday right when we started getting slammed with snow . This stuff is Awesome ! Worth the buy ! Thanks again! Can’t really review this product since I can’t get into the pail lol I’m sure the product works by the time I get into it...... winter will be over . Update : my husband had to use a saw down the sides of the lid lol but mission accomplished . This stuff is great immediately melts all the way down to the ground very quickly . Will buy again! Most Effective Ice/Snow melt granules.

Having tried a variety of ice melt products sold in home repair and gardening supply stores, I had become disillusioned by their ineffectiveness and the harm they caused. For instance a "popular" ice melt crystals I purchased early this year came in a bag labeled "Calcium Chloride" in big letters but close inspection revealed that about 95% was rock salt with the small remainder being a mix of calcium and magnesium chloride. This product worked only at temperatures above 18 Degrees F, required large quantities, caused large white blotches on concrete and flat roof surfaces. I dread to think of the effects on grasses and flowering shrubs later on. The 96% Pure CALCIUM CHLORIDE Snow & Ice Melt Pellets worked well even in small cupfuls, was effective at temperatures close to 0 Deg F and left no stains behind. I am finally satisfied and happy that, at last, I have found a product that actually works.

Great Product and Company

Two very important things to note about my order. 1) The product is great and works very quickly and efficiently. I have a driveway that’s pretty steep and it doesn’t get the rays from the sun to help with melting ice and snow - so it’s very critical that I get everything clear before it freezes over. We have 3 small children (currently ages 5, 3 and 1) so if I don’t get rid of the ice, we risk having several kids sliding down the driveway in the mornings as we’re getting them loaded into the car. The product has done a great job keeping our driveway clear. *Pro Tip - in event you’re expecting a lot of snow, wait to clear off all the snow then apply product to help snow from freezing over to ice. 2) Equally as important as the product are the people behind the product. While I don’t know the folks who own the company or even ever had to deal with them because I haven’t had any problems - they’ve been following up with me after sending me the product to ensure my satisfaction with the promise to help ensure that I’m happy in the event I encountered a problem. Their proactive approach is much appreciated and it’s nice to see there are still places out there that value customer satisfaction. In summary, the product will work as described as long as you use it correctly. And if you’re not happy, just let them know - they seem to care!

Good snow melt!

Last night's rain turned to sleet turned to snow; this morning there was 3-4 inches of snow. After I shoveled I used this product on the ice covering the driveway and sidewalks. It quickly broke up what was there; after I shoveled the broken up snow/ice I used a bit more for the areas I missed. My only complaint is that I did not buy enough for the next snowfall, which I quickly remidied later in the day. BTW, the temperature hovered around 17 degrees today.

WORKS!!!

Well, this stuff works. I started sprinkling it around on my icy driveway, and I started hearing this sound like crackling ice cubes. Everywhere I had sprinkled it was all black (the ashphalt of my driveway showing through). But then there was a blizzard, so now my driveway is covered in snow again. I will definitely need to use more after it stops snowing. One thing I will need is one of those spreaders, because that bucket is HEAVY!!!

This 96% CaCl arrived quickly and it is what it says it is, and it works well. I mixed some with warm water (2.5 lbs per gallon) to make a brine solution to spray coat my driveway and sidewalk before a snowfall. Worked well as a bond to avoid the first few inches from sticking. I also used the pellets conventionally - both before, and after, a snowfall to prevent & melt ice. I'll definitely be buying more. This stuff doesn't harm concrete or lawns.

Great product--once you get the lid off!

Great way to get snow melt straight to your door, especially since it's so heavy. (I'm a 66 year old woman who lives alone and I don't have anyone to haul heavy stuff like this from store to car, car to home, so having Amazon Prime deliver to my door saves some trouble. Fair warning: the only thing bad about this product is how hard it is getting the lid off! Seriously, it was a real battle. Once that was accomplished though...product works great. Especially good results when you put down a light coating before a relatively light snowfall. No having to shovel at all. highly recommended.
