Every few years I've had the vinyl siding on my house pressure-washed. I like the results - the dirt and stains are gone and the original white color is restored. What I didn't like was the increasing cost - from $100 a long time ago to more like $250 each time. So this spring I decided to look into getting my own equipment and turn it into a DIY project. I looked at Consumer Reports ratings and other websites on the "dos and dont's" of pressure-washing a house. I decided on an electric instead of gas-powered because of the lower cost and convenience (plus less noise and pollution). I visited the local Home Depot and Lowes and each store only had two models, none of which were recommended by CR. The store employees told me I could order my choice from their website and have it shipped to the store, but what would be the point of that since Amazon ships directly to the house? So I placed an order for this model Friday night and amazingly it was on my doorstep from USPS the following Sunday morning. I didn't even use the 2-day delivery option but here it was 36 hours later. It took me about 30 minutes to unpack everything and figure out how to assemble the small parts - hose, wand, etc. The machine itself was shipped intact with nothing required except lifting the handle. The motor wasn't too loud - quieter than a lawn mower or blower. It was heavy and took some strength to roll and move it around. My garden hose screwed on easily and smoothly with no leaks. I filled each of the 2 plastic tanks with liquid cleaner (Simple Green HD) and proceeded to washing. The first thing I noticed was that the water spray was mostly pressure instead of volume. In other words, not much water came out but the force of the spray quickly removed dirt from the siding. It was fast and easy to blast away obvious dirt, but for the grayish stains I had to hold the wand closer (6-12") and go slower. But I was very impressed how well it worked - on the stained areas of the siding it was almost like I was painting as the gray color disappeared and the underlying white came out. I was disappointed in the soap containers as the suction was so powerful that the detergent level dropped quickly and the tank emptied out within about 60 seconds (I didn't time it exactly). The one gallon that I purchased was nowhere near enough to clean the whole house. I only got about half of it done before I ran out and had to use plain water for the remainder. Next time I'll probably try a concentrated detergent that I can mix with water and keep refilling the tanks. It seemed pretty wasteful. After finishing the house I easily disconnected the garden hose, wound up the hose attached to the machine, coiled up the electric cord, and found a spot in my garage to store it for next time. Although the instructions state not to use an extension cord, I had to in order to reach all sides of the house. I used one of those orange outdoor cords - not sure of the amps - and didn't notice any problems. The attached cord has a large GFCI which hopefully will cut power if any water gets into the machine. As I've only used this once, I can't say how it will hold up over time. I can see myself using it to wash cars, clean grills, blast the porch and driveway, maybe even metal garbage cans. It will definitely save me money on hiring other people to pressure-wash my house and maybe even on automatic car washes.

I own many Greenworks products from mowers to weedeaters to hedgeclippers, etc.. I find the to be a quality brand. Now this is for typical home use. It wont bring up rust stains or ground in tire tracks. They make chemicals for that with this combination works great. Note: If you use a chemical that will eat plastic? Use it seperately. From delivery to using took 10 min. No assembly required with exception of connecting the gun extension tube and the hose to the gun. Worked awesome and if you are going to clean patios or flat surfaces. I extremely highly recommend the "Greenworks Surface Cleaner Universal Pressure Washer Attachment 30012" It is a quick connect and works on pressure systems rated up to 2000psi. This beast cut my cleaning time by over 1/2 if not more. It has 2 spinning pressure jets that clean like a vacuum cleaner. Also no need for soap attachment it has an A or B reservoirs that you can choose from built in.The unit stores nicely as well. The handle has a release like most Greenworks products to collapse the arm to the unit for ease of storage. All in all bought it because brand, high pressure, options, and fair price.

I bought this pressure washer after comparing it with myriad other brands and models. At the time of purchase the item was on sale and so I could not pass up the fantastic deal that it was. I am very happy with the performance of this pressure washer. The included assortment of tips is a nice bonus as this pressure washer is ready to go out of the box, and the folding handle is nice for storage when not in use. It does a great job cleaning mold and mildew off of vinyl siding and wooden decks. It is not quite powerful enough to fully clean paint off of the deck, but just enough to take some paint off if not being careful. It is a great convenience to have when washing cars, cleaning siding, cleaning concrete or asphalt pavement, and a thousand other uses. The single annoyance that I have with it is the provision for storing the wand. Possibly I am not using it correctly, but there is not a very good spot to keep the wand when storing the machine. There is a spot on the folding handle that holds the metal extension securely, but the place for the main wand body just loosely stores the part. I am happy with this purchase though I cannot say that there is anything about this machine that made me purchase it over any other, aside from the great sale at the time.

My mother explained to me that I dont need this, the garden hose worked fine. Little did she know, this cleanes up 20 years of grime that the garden hose failed to get off of the house easily. You get a 0° nozzle which will get tree sap off of cars easily (and clear coat, be careful!), a turbo nozzle, 25° I believe it is (like you would use at a car wash) 40° and a soap nozzle. I'm finding excuses to use this with my dusichin sfl-001 soap cannon just because of how well it works. Its cleaned my garage door, patio, house, truck, neighbors truck, dads truck, moms car, and a few fire engines with the 40° nozzle and it's actually fantastic. To get back at my mom, I wrote notes in the patio for her to see. It's done a fine job so far. I'll add some pros and cons for the td;lr fans Pros: Not too heavy Powerful Cleans good Tells mom how it feels about her garden hose being better Easy operation Quiet Handle folds easy for storage Can write notes in concrete Quick connects are 1/4"! Cons: Kinda bulky Kinda heavy but like kinda Definitely takes some setup time. Extension cord isnt real long Only 25ft of hose Wand and pressure gun assembly can be difficult Wand/gun holster isnt very tight, they like to fall out Pro but also con: The connections are very snug. It can be a fight to take everything apart

Purchased this to primarily detail my wife and I's trucks and potentially small work around the house. Used it the other day and have to say, can't complain much. Set up was fairly easy (took less than 5min) and worked like a charm. As I type this I can't really come up with much to gripe about. It says they don't recommend using an extension cord but I did and didn't seem to effect the performance. But with that said without the extension cord the factory power cord could be longer. In addition I bought a foam cannon as well and put out enough me for me to use and cleaned well. I even tested it on the sidewalks and blew whatever was on the concrete right off. I didn't want to deal with gasoline and didn't think I needed much more than a 1700psi machine for what I needed so I felt this was a pretty solid purchase. Lastly Arrived in a well packaged box with no damage and all structural componets weren't damaged as I've seen on other reviews. I've only used it once but will follow up! So far so good

I purchased this pressure washer to wash our two cars. As powerful as it is, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. The hose reel makes it easy to wind and unwind the hose during each use, and I really like how the front "foot" of the unit keeps it stationary when I'm using it (my previous pressure washer was the stand-up type, and it would always move or tip over, which would annoy the heck out of me). Prior to purchasing this product, I did hours upon hours of research, which I am happy to say paid off big time. After using this unit twice, I can honestly say that there is nothing I would change about its design (not to mention there was obviously a lot of care/thought put into its quality and craftsmanship). I highly recommend this power washer due to its affordable price point, smart design, high quality and craftsmanship, performance, and quiet operation.

Great entry level washer -- no need to spend lots of money on one. I bought this to wash the cars and it does the job perfectly. Product is good quality and gives zero leaks. This is easy to use and should last a long time. If you are looking for something very powerful then you will need a gas powered washer. But for washing cars or lawn furniture, this will do the job. It's easy to find accessories for this machine because it uses 1/4" quick disconnect. Other machines have a different connection so it's hard to find accessories. I can happily recommend this product since I enjoy using this machine.

This is a great machine for getting cleaning jobs done. Between washing cars, cleaning vinyl siding or blasting dirt away from wooden steps I haven't found anything it's had a hard time taking care of. The included picture is a before and after of use on our front steps using only water, (no bleach or chemicals). Pros: - Good power for the money. For personal use I haven't run into a situation where I felt it was under powered. - The machine itself is very light and has wheels so moving it around is a breeze. - It's very quiet, I personally don't live somewhere that this makes a difference but for someone that lives in a quite neighborhood or an apartment complex I don't think this would disturb the neighbors while in use. - Third Party Attachments fit and work perfectly. - All hoses fit together very nicely and I haven't had any water leaking from the machine or any of the attachments/connections. - The safety clip that flips out to keep the trigger from being pressed is a great feature, especially when kids are around while it's in use. Cons: - The built-in wand holder sets the end of the fully assembled wand a bit closer to the ground than I would prefer. If is was located a bit further up on the housing it would be easier to use. - When using the included soap bottle there isn't anywhere to store the end of the wand. A separate place to store this while not in use would be a nice addition. - The trigger on the wand is pretty tough to hold down for long periods of continuous use. This is most likely more of a safety feature so that it isn't pressed accidentally but it definitely can be killer on the hands after awhile. I'm not entirely sure that someone like my mom who has RA, (Rheumatoid Arthritis) would be able to use this for very long. To sum everything up, this is a great machine and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Coming from using a gasoline pressure washer for many years I was a bit hesitant to buy an electric one. The GreenWorks GPW1702 has changed my mind and I am glad I picked one up this year. Since owning it this year I have used it on various projects around the house and have been pleased with the results. Pros -It is light weight so it can be easily moved to where it is needed. -Cleaned up moldy brick around my house very quickly -Car cleaning has never been easier. -Great price for a pressure washer -No longer have to deal with oil and gasoline. Cons -I have no complaints UPDATE after 10 months: The pressure washer worked like a champ all summer. Got to a lot of outside cleaning done and a lot of car washes in. It was noticed by several neighbors and they were all surprised it was just an electric pressure washer. One issue I ran into was the connections for the outlet hose were accidentally stripped by myself one day. It was done carelessly by myself, but just something to be aware of while using the product. Still happy with my purchase.

I just used this for the 1st time yesterday. Washed a 40' x 12' back deck and rails, a 10' x 12' front porch (both PT wood), plus 3 sides of a manufactured home and gutters. It performed flawlessly. Older reviews complained about weak hose connections, but they apparently solved that problem since the connectors on mine are sturdy brass. Even with everything hooked up (water hose, power cord), I was able to move it around easily. The wand is a nice size, not too big not too small. The hose reel helps keep everything wrapped up for storage, and the whole thing doesn't take up much space in my garden shed. Very happy with this sprayer!
