Detachable Cord = Perfect
If you are a new parent looking for headphones for your kid: YOU NEED THE DETACHABLE CORD. The color and sound quality don't matter. The comfort and size does, but most companies have that nailed because it is an auto-return if they are uncomfortable. On that note, these headphones are quite comfortable. What new parents, self included, don't think about is how flimsy cord attachments actually are relative to small, clumsy humans and the playfully hungry house lions known as cats. They will get broken... In my situation, after going through three pairs of headphones because either my daughter irreparably yanked the cord off the headphones while using them as a leash for her younger sister (that's the story, anyway...), or my cats kept thinking the cord was the best thing since catnip and eating through it, I found these. Oddly enough, my troubles with cats and destructive kids has abated, but the peace of mind is still there. If something happens to the cord, it's a $2 replacement from the hardware store rather than a new $15 headset. So nice...

Great product with a design flaw, but amazing support. 4 stars for product, 5th for customer service.
So like many others, the extender broke at about 3 months. I emailed support, and the awesome team there sent another set out to me, in less than a week. No hoops, no 'qualified' warranty nonsense. Just a confirmation of my original order number, and address! They even let me switch colors, since kiddo had a favorite color change. Sadly, the replacement broke in the exact same spot, about 3 months later, and so I emailed them again. Just as fast, I was offered a replacement, but this time as an upgrade to the set with the metal reinforced extenders. I'm starting to suspect the issue is that they might be just a tiny bit too small, and the extender plastic too brittle to put up with it, but that's the way my kiddo likes his headphones. He wants them to fit super tight on his head, and complains about other pairs that are 'too loose'. Now, my kid has gone through so many other pairs of headphones, usually for these reasons: Foam rips, tears or comes off and no amount of praying, incense and sacrificial offerings to the headphone gods ever gets them back on. Ever. The cord will fray and wear out either at the junction to the headphones, or kink then the coating splits, or at tear at the plug end, or the dang things just stop working. NONE of this has ever happened with the lilgadgets headphones. The padding hasn't come off once - this usually takes about a week with my kid. The cords are NICE. They well reinforced and they do not kink or tangle. Being able to pop the cable off to store it has been lovely, and sharing sound via the shareport built in with his cousin has been awesome. They sound decent for little kids headphones, and they are nicely limited - we've been through probably 7 or 8 different brands now, and not all are actually 'limited'. The padding at the top is nice, and the entire set wipes off nicely with a slightly damp rag and still looks brand new after. So despite the breakage, I'd definitely recommend these, just perhaps to maybe younger children or those with smaller heads, at least until they work out the plastic for the extenders. If it wasn't for the breakage there, I'd have zero problems with this headset. And their support team is absolutely awesome. If you have problems after purchasing, they will definitely do what they can to fix it.

Look for the head sets with the extension piece made from metal and plastic for more durability and less chance of cracking
The company sent and surprised us, as they honored their 1-year warranty and replaced 2 of our 3 cracked headsets, free of charge with their improved design. The new design has a piece of metal over the plastic extension piece which allows for the headset to be made larger. The improvement should make it less likely to crack and more durable. They also made the earpiece and pad larger and more comfortable. My children love them. Thank you so much!!

Good sound. Fits well. Excellent customer service.
These head phones fit my 2 year old perfectly. He wore these on a 4 hour flight with no issues. This would be a 5 star review had it not been for the fact that the headset broke after owning for less than 3 months. *** Update 1/23/2016**** I am changing my review to a 5. Wow! What great customer service. After I wrote this review, I received a call from LilGadgets letting me know that they were going to replace the headset (the product has a 1 year warranty) and that the headset shouldn't have broken so quickly. She explained that they are always actively looking for ways to improve their product so things like a break don't happen. They took the time to reach out to me via Amazon and by phone. I really wish all products had such good customer support!

Worth the money - great for plane trips
Used for my son when he was almost 2.5 to bring on the plane. Pros: Doesn't get too loud, you can tap into the left ear with your own headphones to also listen along, folds up for better storage, comes with an (albeit thin) storage pouch with drawstring, wire is covered in a nylon like materials so I assume that helps durability, adjustable and was able to fit my toddler son's head with room to grow, didn't seem to bother him... he wore it for the entire 4 hour flight (yes I let him watch SuperWhy for 4 hours.... I was flying alone with him.... you would too! haha). Cons: (and I'm only speculating here) I wonder how durable they really are. I use them very gingerly and my son is careful with his belongings... but I could imagine a strong yank in the wrong direction could break the plastic? Hasn't happened yet though but we've only used them less than 5 times.

Great Headphones! Great Company!
I bought two headphones for my two daughters, these were the perfect headphones because most of the time they like watching videos together. A short while after one of the headphones cracked, I contacted LilGadgets via email and a few days later we received a new one in the mail.

Great headphones for kids
We've only had them for a few days but so far these headphones have far exceeded my expectations for the price. The material they are made of feel high quality and sturdy. My 3yo loves them (especially the pink!), she says they are extremely comfy...which they are (I've worn them a few times as well). They are lightweight and have a lot of padding...great for little ones. I love that the volume is limited as well, that's great for children! The wire isn't too restricting as well (my kid doesn't even notice it really)...the only way these could be better is if they were wireless for the same price, but that's probably asking too much. I registered for a free 1 year warranty as well. These are amazing, especially for the price...highly recommend!

Bought for the first kid and came back for another set for the other one.
I bought the first pair for my boy when he was just past 2 years and now getting another pair for the girl who is about to hit 2 years herself. Perfect fit for a 2yr head with room to expand. They are small after all at that age and expanding as fast as my waistline these days. Being an ExPat worker I have to drag the family across the globe twice a year to put in some face time with the olds. These make being stuck in an aluminium [sic-UK :P] tube for 14 hours with very young children far more bearable. The fit is comfortable and the boy can wear them for long stretches in the plane. Noise level is reduced but that is what you want after all. Yes, it may not be as easy to hear on a plane but planes are noisy places after all. Niggles about the lack of volume in this situation defeats the whole object of these headphones which is to reduce acoustic exposure. He's happy with the action on the screen laughing hysterically at Shaun the Sheep while everyone else tries to sleep anyway. At home he can happily steal my tablet and drive his Duplo train or do Toca Boca stuff without the family enduring the cacophony of snappy sound effects. Best feature in my mind is the long cable that has a material sleeve for extra durability and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack at each end. Not only does this mean if one of the little terrors snags the cable that it will pull out of the headphones (and not yank their neck or strangle them). When the cable eventually gets broken beyond repair (a long way off I estimate anyway) you can simply find/make another cheap standard cable terminated in a 3.5mm headphone jack at each end and not have to buy a complete new set of 'phones. Being able to plug in on either side and daisy chain up to another set of headphones is a great feature as well so you can share in the adventures of Captain Barnacle, Kwazi and Peso as they explore, rescue and protect (for the umpteenth time) with your delightful offspring. And when he finally goes to sleep about 30 minutes before we are due to land (and I have to carry him and our bags through immigration because the airline/airport only delivers your stroller to the oversized baggage carousel!) it is easy to pack away in the little pouch. Definitely worth the money. Don't forget to grab a cheap $2 headphone adapter for the plane from eBay with free delivery from China...

Updated review
Update: After my original review was posted, I was contacted by the company to please email them. Much to my surprise, they offered to send a new pair of headphones to replace our broken pair. The company offers a one year warranty with purchase and I purchased our original pair almost 2 years prior although we had only used them once before breaking. The company truly stands behind their product! Original review: I bought this for my 2 year old's first plane flight (almost two years ago) and haven't used them since until today. Unfortunately, one side completely snapped off very similar to another review. Although we have had them, they endured very little use for the price which is disappointing considering my son really liked them.
