My daughter rescued a cat from the shelter. She found out that some idiot threw him in the landfill in a plastic crate. So she was worried about how to get him to the Vet or if she had to leave due to tornado. So I got this for her. I told her to just set it up and maybe put some toys are a t shirt inside. It took one day and her sweet Mad Max went right inside. She is thrilled and it stands up solid.

My cat is absolutely in love with this carrier! It's perfect! I got the small but could've gotten away with getting a medium because my cat is a big fluff ball, but overall amazing product. And he loves the "sunroof" (:

Charlie loves this! He knows a ride to the beach or dog park is on the way and he settles right into the bag no problem. I selected this bag because it fits perfect for my bike trailer.

I have two medium-sized cats. Previously, I used hard carriers whose doors were metal grates. In the car, one of the cats would constantly work at the grate to try to open the door, and his paws would start bleeding. It was time to get a soft carrier. My first soft carrier was a name brand that cost much more than the Amazon Basics one. It did the job okay, but the sides were not rigid enough and it would collapse too easily. The large Amazon Basics carrier is just about perfect. The sides are just rigid enough that it holds its shape. It is soft and comfy inside. I love that it has a door on top as well as on the front - sometimes at the vet, the cat won't come out of the carrier front door, so you can open the top door and just lift him out. I've only had it a few months, but it seems reasonably well-made - at least as well-made as the more expensive name-brand carrier I bought. One last thing about the size: I got the large. The medium is big enough for a cat but not very roomy inside. The large is big enough that the cat can comfortably turn around and change positions. I think this is very important on long car rides. The only downside of the large size is it might not work for bringing your cat on an airplane. But I never do that, so it's no problem for me.

I love AmazonBasics pet carriers! I have one for my cat and I bought a small one for my bunny. I love that it has two openings, one on the side and one on top so it allows you to put your animal in whichever way is comfortable for you and your pet. For my cats, I love the zip top because I just plop them in and zip up after them. For my bunny I use the side entrance because she just hops in. Another feature that I truly love is the mesh sides. My one cat has really bad initial anxiety in the carrier and is always trying to scratch at it. My bunny, too, scratches at it. So far it has yet to budge, but only time will tell. The only feature I didn't particularly like is that the fleece liner that comes with it isn't as sturdy as the actual carrier. The one in my cat carrier has been torn at, and my bunny demolished the one in her carrier the minute I put her in. But that's not a problem with the product, and instead I simply put in a blanket she doesn't tear at.

This carrier is very nice. It has a front opening and a top opening which makes it very handy to get kitty out. inside there is a hook so kitty can be secured inside so that when you open doors he can't just run out until you release him. The bottom is stiff and supports body. There is a washable fleecy material on the bottom that may comfort kitty and help prevent slipping around. The carring straps are very sturdy and wrap completely around the carrier so there is no fear it could tear over time. I gave it 5 stars because it is a good quality carrier and my cat actually likes being in it. My cat weighs 10 lbs. and he fits in very nicely - see photo.

I decided on the Medium. Perfect for my 10lb dog. She could not stand up in it but was able to move around in it. Also sturdy enough to carry without collapsing. Fit comfortably under the plane seat. I tried the large to give her more room but she would slide around in it and too much room made it unbalanced when carried.

I originally bought the OxGord size large and it didnt fit my dog. I bought this and its SO much bigger but still fits under the seat of the airplane chair. My dog is a little over 20 pounds and its definitely not super spacious for him, but he doesnt seem to mind and he fits.

Love the carrier! I got a medium bag for my 10 pound cat and we flew southwest with it. Plenty of room for him to wiggle around in the bag (I could probably fit another cat his size in) but it's not tall enough for him to actually stand up in it. I was worried that the carrier would either be too stiff to fit in a tight space or not stiff enough to maintain its shape but that wasn't the case at all! I really liked that it has both an opening on the top of the carrier and on the front. The top opening could be zipped open slightly to let him peek his head out without letting him escape on the plane. (See pic)
