looks amazing.. stitching

looks amazing.. stitching, seams and zippers all look high quality. i get a lot of compliments.. i usually rock this messenger bag with matching color shoes and belt. my sony vaio 15.5" fits perfectly. For laptops bigger than this look else where.. though the quality looks great, i do agree with another reviewer that the first thing on this bag to probably break would be the strap or hardware hook. which i predict is this bag's Achilles tendon. which is why i will buy a premium leather strap right here on amazon. Lets see if i can get 6 years with KC like i did with my LAND messenger bag.

One Tough S.O.B.

Let me first say that I purchased this bag back in 2012. I was sitting at work today, looked at my bag, and had this eureka moment that this bag is one tough S.O.B. This has been my daily work bag and travel companion for over 5 years. It has been all over the globe with me, literally. To the hot and wet climate in Jamaica, to twenty below in Canada, and everywhere in between. This is embarrassing to say but I just oiled it for the first time this past weekend. It looks brand new and made me fall in love with it all over again. I have done literally no up-keep, or oiling besides what I just put on it. There was a "wear" mark where it's rubbed on me over the years, but the oil/beeswax I just put on took care of it. None of the stitching has come undone. I would definitely buy again, and highly recommend this bag,

The real deal and in the price range the best looking bag that is functional

Excellent carry on bag ,I love the outside pockets for passport and airline ticket.My MacBook Pro 15" fits in fine and you can use middle pocket for more protection or more outside pocket.It has a pocket for iPad or a couple of books.The quality of the leather is very good with a soft but study feel.The zippers are excellent and the strap is attached so a filled bag will hold cole to your torso.I bought this from Amazon in order to assure it was a geniue item and it is.I saw this at one of the office supply stores for nearly twice what I paid.

Awesome bag!!!

I originally bought a Samsonite Leather Flapover Briefcase (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CI40OI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_PnJEwbCTG22DS While the bag is very handsome, it was extremely impractical. A) it was a very heavy bag and B) the design of the bag left very little room but for a few thin file folders. This Kenneth Cole bag has space for everything I had in the Samsonite bag (iPad, 2 booklets, multiple file folders) and it still has room for more! More importantly, the pocket for cards and miscellaneous things is on the outside of the main compartment so it doesn't eat into the space you have inside. This is all without unzipping the bag expander! This bag is also lighter than the Samsonite bag. I've only just had it delivered but it looks like I found the bag for me especially since I am a traveling sales rep. I'll post a review after 6 months of wear...

Nice bag, soft leather, quality feel

Been using the bag for about two months now and it is showing no signs of wear. Zippers are robust, the leather is soft and feels like a high quality bag. Quantity and size of the storage pockets works well for me, everything has it's place. I typically have some paperwork / files that I store in the file compartment, a 15" laptop, iPad, journal, 12 pen case for fountain pens, power adapter for laptop, charger for mobile devices, USB headset, flashlight, wireless earbuds, and whatever other trinkets I'm geeking out on. Everything fits with plenty of room to spare without using the expanding feature.

Works great even coming out of the overhead bin hundreds of times!

I just received my replacement bag to this exact Kenneth Cole Reaction briefcase I previously purchased three years ago. I fly with this bag over 100K (146K last year) miles per year so my "normal wear and tear" is unimaginable to the normal use! Great bag, great buy.

This was a great buy, particularly at a price of just over $100 (US). Wonderful design, very good features and execution. And, judging by other Kenneth Cole leather bags I've had (I bought one of their dressy black leather backpacks around 2000) they stand up well and K Cole stands behind their lifetime warranty too. It's just small enough to fit under the seat in front of you in the back of the plane (even those with extra electronics under the seat to deal with the entertainment system) and just big enough to comfortably carry a lot, including my 15" MacBook Pro (along with an iPad, Bose headset and various and sundry other things. Strap and handles work well. What else can I say?

Timeless, well made, lightweight!

I saw this at a local office products chain and Amazon had it for about half price! I am taking this as carry on luggage for a singing group trip to Italy. The requirement for the coach tour bus for our carry on bag was no more than 35 linear inches. Even the current backpack I own was too big. I searched high and low for something that size that would fit my tablet, choir notebook, necessities, a change of clothes, medications, and other useless entertainment. It is very stylish, sturdy, timeless, streamlined, very lightweight, and I am amazed at how much of my needful stuff this bag can handle! I love the shoulder and hand straps and multiple pockets. Zippers are very well made and it is an impressive design.

I have purchased several bags by Kenneth Cole Reaction and have found them to always be of fantastic quality, and each has a well-thought-out design for a particular type of use. However, I am writing this review more geared towards the quality of the company rather than being aimed at this specific product (though I like this particular bag and have traveled around the world with it over the last 4 years). When there is ever an issue with a bag, I have always found the company to be responsive in taking care of the problem. Recently, I received a replacement bag for this case that I purchased in 2013 because they deemed the issue to be related to a defect -- free of charge! A second time, Kenneth Cole Reaction replaced a new bag that had small damage marks on the leather. I plan on being a super loyal customer and will never hesitate to buy bags for my own use or gifts. The designs are always good and they stand behind their products. Only a minor issue that I wanted to bring up with this particular model. The bag I got in 2013 had a little secret compartment on the side that was secured with their signature heavy-duty zipper. Not sure what it was for, but I found it VERY useful for my migraine cure, which I place in little vials. Whenever I started to get sick on the plane, I just reached for the compartment, and popped the pills. This compartment is now gone in this model. Now I have to rummage through a larger compartment that contains other items -- not fun when being buffeted around is a turbulent sky on the verge of a a debilitating migraine attack. Aside from this minor issue, I am pleased with this product. Thanks, Kenneth Cole Reaction! I highly recommend your products!

Yeah, you do want another bag

Like I don't have enough travel bags...I have a couple of messengers and another computer bag but I needed something just a little larger with all the compartments and zippers I love. I saw this bag at a local retailer for $200 and got it for almost half that here at Amazon. Great color and wonderful leather smell. Kenneth Cole's Reaction line has always impressed me with its style and materials. Here is another winner.
