I bought this to relocate my new 2016 Amazon Fire TV stick and it allowed me to get creative with that placement. Inserting a stick directly into a TV means the likelihood of lower signal quality. The included dongle does help, but an extra foot or two can help too.

I saw the same product a HDMI extender marketed as a way to improve wifi connection for my Fire stick. I did a little research and nothing was different about that product from this product except for the price. Its a HDMI extender and now that my firestick is not stuck behind the tv and in a better location to pick up wifi the buffering has stopped!

Using it for switching between PSVR and PS4 Pro. If you connect directly a PS4Pro to a TV you get HDR, you lose it when connecting the PSVR in the middle of them. To avoid having too many cables and switching the back of the TV (hard to reach), this extension lets me reconnect quickly when I plan to play PSVR. Obviously the HDMI cable is high quality because it is supporting 4K HDR with not issues.

I was about to throw my ROKU out in the trash - starting to hate the thing. Then enters the HDMI cable extension cord... the easiest fix to a very frustrating problem. Seriously, Roku, you should sell your product with one of these things to begin with. (just my 2 cents) But since they do not - people, just go ahead and get one because it will start acting up. You see it in Roku reviews constantly. THANK YOU now we're absolutely perfect!

Needed another foot of HDMI cable for my TV that is on a swing arm. Didn't want to run a whole new cable so I figured I'd give this extension a shot. It was already a 50ft run, so I was concerned about signal loss by adding an additional connection. No such issues - picture is just as clear and very happy with the purchase.

This cable did me wonders, unfortunately the sony bravia 48 inch smart led tv I had was a poorly made, even though it had 2 hdmi ports, the only downfall is that when i installed a wall bracket to mount, the holes were placed in a way that it wouldn't allow me to utilize one of the ports, so I bought the ugreen high speed hdmi cable as an extension to my pigtail to split the other hdmi port to use 3 and this cable allowed the connection and worked wonders. I was afraid that this extension to a hdmi splitter/pigtail would alter the connection but I was wrong, it worked out great and as an extension I can easily switch from my gaming system, cable television, and laptop with ease. Thankyou!

This product was perfect for what I was trying to achieve. My Amazon firestick came with a very short hdmi cable (only 3"). Being so short it was behind the TV and laying on the back of the TV getting very hot. The signal for the remote was being blocked by the tv. Plus the WiFi signal was weak. I bought this to get the firestick out from behind the TV. I bought this product in a 6 foot length, which worked perfectly. Now that the firestick is on top of the entertainment center I get great signal and it's not over heating. Picture quality is better then it was before. So I recommend this product for whatever reason. If you have a firestick I recommend getting it out from behind the TV with one of these. Thanks

I have the Roku stick. My TV HDMI input is in a spot where the stick does not fit. I needed to get an extender so I could use it. I had the older model so it was not an issue until now. This would also be good if you have a wall mount TV and cannot get to the hdmi. I am not good with electronic stuff so I wasn't sure if this would work. The last cable I got did not work and it was non refundable. Also works with my Firestick. Happy I can now enjoy using it.

I got this for my Fire TV stick. After a LOT of research I learned that over time the Fire TV Stick can start to have problems from being in too close a proximity to the back of the television - even with the supplied extension cable - and this can result in interrupted programs and endless buffering. The advice in the forums was to get a cord like this and use it as the extension cord. We got it and it has cleared up ALL of the buffering issues and most of the dropped network problems. An excellent investment that has improved our use of the Amazon Fire Stick.

I bought this extension because we live the RV life and our son bought us a Nintendo Switch for Christmas. We have only one TV and we use our hotspot to connect to the internet, when available. Sometimes, I connect my laptop to the TV directly with an HDMI cord to watch online television shows. We grew weary of using the Kindle Firestick and Chromecast because there are sometimes app issues that drive us crazy. They get a new update and it messes it up or the apps that you can use via Chromecast are old and don't work. It's annoying, so I went back to the old fashioned cord system. Because we plug in the HDMI cord to my laptop fairly often, I did not want to ruin the HDMI port on the Switch by constantly tugging on it to remove it, then pushing on it to get that thing back in there. That constant tension eventually causes the port not to connect properly. Just like how eventually a cell phone will no longer connect to charge. We plugged this extension into our Switch and it will instead take that tension damage. This is permanent and will stay there until it no longer works, and I'll get another. If it ever stops working, but all things do. It works really well for our needs but I will say that we do sometimes get static. It's only for a moment, though. It's not the HDMI cord itself because we never get static when connected to the computer and the television. It is ONLY when connected to the Switch's extension. Before we got this extension, the Switch never had static when the HDMI was being plugged into the Switch directly, so there is a fault. It really depends on what you need it for but for the price and value, I'd say it's a good buy. I do have concerns for the very occasional static but it hasn't been a problem where it lasts more than about 2-3 seconds at a time. Then it won't do it for hours, so that's just a FYI for some of you. All in all, I do recommend it.
